My first experience with RPing was probably when I played Ultima Online. Had 2 characters in RP guilds and got a lot of practice from it, from learning how to speak Orcish to proper RP etiquette. I know the importance of staying in character and realizing that your character shouldn't have outside information other from what he has seen, heard or learned personally. I know how frustrating it is to deal with powergaming so I try to avoid making my characters like that, I usually create them as flawed beings, makes it more realistic. I understand that people are playing as characters and most things shouldn't be taken personally, it's just character-on-character interaction! -What do you expect this server will be like?: More than anything a lively server. I know it has one of the highest (if not the highest) populations of active users so I'm really looking forward to that! A vibrant world full of interesting people is what I'm really expecting. -What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Only private servers from gaming communities. I didn't leave them so much as they ceased to exist due to decreased interest in the game. -Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes, of course. -Name the 4 races on this server: Elves, Dwarves, Humans and Orcs. Not counting subraces, of course. -How did you hear about us?: From www.minecraftforums.com, I was searching for an interesting, RP-focused server with a lot of people and what do you know, I found it! -What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Kradark In-Character: -Character Name: Lyranth -What is your Race?: Elf, with Wood Elf subrace. -Biography: A young and energetic hunter that enjoys exploring the forests of Aegis, for they are full of wonders waiting to be discovered by lucky passersby. He holds a close bond with the creatures of the forest and will only hunt for food. During his childhood his father, an experienced hunter, taught him the way of the bow and arrow and the importance of being respectful towards nature. At the same time his mother, a scholar of Elven poetry from Laurelin, taught him the beauty of the written language. In a sense it could be said he got the best from both worlds. Even though his childhood was filled with warm memories, his teenage years were tragic, to say the least. His father went missing after leaving on a hunting trip, an unexpected event considering his experience in the wilderness. After spending several days and nights training his bow expertise and mustering the courage to venture into the wilds to go in search of his father, a terrible illness befell his mother. With no one to take care of her, Lyranth decided to stay home, coming to terms with the fact that his father might be dead. The disease was strong and his mother never recovered. In a time frame of less than two weeks, a teenager Lyranth was left alone in the world. Knowing that his parents wouldn't want him to live a sad existence he decided to embark on a journey of his own. He thanked his parents for the valuable life lessons, took his bow and quiver and walked towards the wilderness. After spending several years practicing his hunting skills in the wilds in solitude, Lyranth decided to visit his mother's birthplace, the beautiful and majestic capital city of Laurelin, in hopes of forming a new life as a member of a community. -Character Age: 24, in Human years. -Character Appearance: A shorthaired blonde Wood Elf with emerald green eyes. Even though he knows long hair is favored amongst Elves, he prefers to cut it short since it's more practical, at least while hunting. He is 6 ft tall with an athletic physique. -Character Personality: Energetic and lively, he feels Aegis is an infinite source of excitement. Years of solitude in the wilderness have made him less of a social person, but he is still quite friendly towards strangers. He lives life by one important rule: Respect others and respect yourself. -Your ambitions: To form part of a community. To get closer to his Elven roots. The exploration of all the natural wonders Aegis has to offer. He doesn't seek for fortune or fame, he just wants an exciting adventure. -Can your character read or write?: Yes, Lyranth's mother was a literate elfesse that taught her son the beauty of Elven poetry at a young age. -Can your character mine?: Even though he probably has the physical strength to do so, he can't. -Are you a capable builder?: He can handle wooden materials and the construction of small cabins, but that's about it. -Can you wield a sword?: Nope.
