-Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm a software developer from Canada looking to waste a few hours roleplaying online each week. I'm pretty much your average roleplaying geek, really.
-How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I'd expect I'd be on 5-10 hours a week.
-How long have you played minecraft?: Since just before the Halloween update, so since about fall of 2010.
-What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?: I'm a veteran roleplayer, having started in the early 1990s roleplaying online on MUSHes, before moving on to tabletop roleplaying, LARP, and the like.
-What do you expect this server will be like?: Heh, gorgeous, if the trailers are to be believed? I'm hoping this server will give my Minecraft playing some context, allowing me to build up a personality and history of interaction with other characters to make all my economic activities something more than just a game.
-What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I play on the Elysium RPG.net server, and am still on it. It is a small server mostly for showing off building, however, not at all like Lord of the Craft.
-Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? What about the lore?: I've read through them all the rules, understood them, and agree to abide by them. I've read though all the basic lore (the basic races, the kingdoms, etc), though I haven't finished going through all the different organizations and factions on the wiki yet.
-Name the 4 races on this server: The four main races are human, dwarf, elf and orc, though there are also subraces as well as races not accessible to beginning players.
-How did you hear about us?: Saw the trailer on Youtube while I was watching Minecraft videos.
-Did you vote?: Yup.
-What was your favourite Law?: The Kingdom law prohibiting unlawful murder. I like that there is actually a sort of crime and punishment dynamic going IC as well as OOC server rules.
-What was your least favourite Law?: The necessity of having a forum account, since I'm not normally a big forums guy. But I'll read the forums and check in, since that seems to be the main place you disseminate info.

-Character Name: Derek Holstadt
-What is your Race?: Human
-Biography: The youngest son of a frontier trader, Derek was always most comfortable on the edge of civilization. Some of his earlier memories are of tagging along with his father and older brother on expeditions to remote outposts, brokering deals in animal hides, lumber and the like. His father was not just an outdoorsman but a shrewd businessman, and as his enterprise grew he began to seldom leave his own headquarters in the city. While Derek's siblings were content to take advantage of their father's wealth, learning the business and setting themselves up for the future, Derek was always finding excuses to tag along with the hunters and trappers out into the frontier. As a result, he and his father became increasingly estranged - Derek thought his father was out of touch with the essential of frontier life, and Derek's father thought the young man was missing the forest for the tress. Every trip home was accompanied by yelling matches with his father, so Derek began to spend more and more time with his father's employees out in the wilderness and less and less at home.
On his last trip home, he found he'd missed his father's funeral by three months. Seeing his older siblings with gold in their eyes, already focused on how they might succeed their father and someday set themselves up as merchant princes, Derek had had enough. He struck out on his own to seek his own fortune and has yet to look back...

-Character Appearance: Usually dressed in the practical garb of a forester, Derek usually hasn't shaved in a couple of days and has a weathered appearance. When he was a young man he had boyish good looks, but by now years spent out in the elements far from the warmth of hearth and home have made his features rough and his stare distant.
-Character Personality: Derek is friendly enough, but many people percieve him as gruff and unwelcoming. He doesn't dislike people, he just doesn't understand them. A stoic type, used to his own company, Derek is independent and strong-minded. His temper is easily roused by those who seek to command him, but he has a soft spot for those who cannot help themselves.
-Your ambitions: Ultimately, Derek wants to be able to be the master of his own destiny - he doesn't seek wealth or glory, but understands both can be of use in freeing oneself from the constraints of others. He'd be perfectly happy having a trading company like his father did in the early days - out in the wilderness, making an honest profit from honest work, and providing assistance to those brave souls who dare the edges of civilization.
-Can your character read or write?: He has his letters, though he isn't especially practised.
-Can your character mine?: He knows some basics, but hasn't yet had much of a chance to exercise his knowledge.
-Are you a capable builder?: Derek can put together a log cabin in the woods - he's good with his hands - but isn't an architect at heart.
-Can you wield a sword?: Not a soldier by training, Derek has still had to learn to wield a blade to defend himself from bandits and worse things that lurk out in the dark woods.
-Enjoy Farming?: He'll till the earth if he needs to in order to survive, but he'd much rather be hunting.
-Does your character have any special skills?: Derek is a skilled tracker and outdoorsman.
