Made some maps in hopes of helping people find our fair city. Hope it helps!

Well, I didn't even know we had lore! Sorry I've been gone for so long, But I Zeruel The Road builder has returned!I worked out a deal with the Fair Maiden Serene and have set up a Smithy in the western courtyard. while I am saddened that Lord Estellan is unable to be present, I would like to show that I am indeed still involved with this project. (Although I find it a little odd that the refuge not a stones throw to the north isn't mentioned in the lore...)

Out-Of-Character: -Minecraft Account Name: zeruel -How old are you?: 22 -Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Lancashire, UK -Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I'm familiar yes -Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a Graduate Student working to get a Masters in Forensic Science, when I'm not studying I like to play minecraft or a good DnD game with friends. -How much time could you be on the server weekly?: 10-15 hours a week, likely more though -How long have you played minecraft?: Since Alpha, a few updates before Beta was released. (since before cows!) -What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?: I know that role playing is a fun and fulfilling experience that allows you to do what you've always dreamed in a manner that is completely in the Imagination of the beholder, In rping you take on the role of your character, you try to think like them, feel like them, BE them.I've played DnD avidly for years, mostly 3.5 but did some advanced DnD in my early years, played wow for a good year, involved with an rp server for a while, where I was a guildmaster. -What do you expect this server will be like?: Fantastical fun, Chomping at the bit to get involved! -What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: A few private server with friends, Was involved with a Half-Life RP server for a while, but the group fell apart after a short while. -Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? Human, Elves, Dwarves, and of course who could forget the Orcs. -How did you hear about us?: Yogscast... I realize the Yognaughts have flooded your application list, and for that I'm sorry. -Did you vote?: Of course! plan to again soon! -What was your favourite Law?: No griefing, its every minecrafters worst enemy (unless their greifers...) -What was your least favourite Law?: Tough choice... I'd have to say the no talking back to the admins as I feel that if the argument is reasonable it should be carried out, (but its still a good rule) -What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name? Zeruel In-Character: -Character Name: Zeruel Skov -What is your Race?: Human -Lordofthecraft.net/forum forum account: Zeruel (username: zeruel104) -Biography: Part one: Innocence; Born to a poor farming family outside of the kingdom of Oren, Zeruel often dreamed of a better life, working the fields and selling the crops was never much of an existence to him. He would often daydream about the grander things in life, knights in shining armor, clashing with the forces of the undead that seemed to have no end. Minstrels singing of their heart's passion with little regard as to what the listeners think. Grand architects that build massive bastions of hope and intimidation. When he grew to the age of 14 his father told him unfortunately the farm wasn't doing as well as it could, and that they needed to find a new way to get more money or else he might be forced to sell the property. He told Zeruel that it was up to him as the oldest son to go into town and find a way to earn said extra Minas. Part two: Beggars; Zeruel did as he was told and left with his heart full of sorrow and fear, he had never been to the city by himself, and had little experience of city life beyond his father saying to 'stay close and don't make too much eye contact.' He wandered the streets with little to go on, but to look for someone who needed help, Zeruel came across several beggars sitting on the side of the street, some were blind, others were lame. Zeruel approached the beggars and asked them why no one aided them. the beggars in kind returned that they would rather be a stain on the side of the road then a burden to the rest of their families, and that while they wished for nothing more then the pain to go away, to end themselves would be the last insult to there poor pathetic lives. Zeruel didn't see the logic behind the beggars words and walked away confused and lighter in pocket as he had given the beggars some of the money that his family had sent him off with. Part three: Incarceration; Zeruel soon found work in the mines, tough grueling work that had long hours and carried the risk of running into a cavern full of monsters. which he did on more then one occasion and found that he had a talent for hiding from the monsters and pelting them with rocks from a safe location. everyday on his way to work he passed the beggars that he had met on his first day on his own, in the beginning he would be kind to the beggars and give them a little of his spare money, or a bit of his daily bread. but everyday the beggars said the same thing, 'We don't need your kindness, as we are incapable of returning it' at first Zeruel thought the words humble and simply moved on from that, but day in and day out the beggars said the same thing to him. and eventually its meaning turned from a phrase of praise to a pitiful call of self-loathing. It was slow at first, he left less of his bread for them, or one less coin, dwindling down to almost nothing, and yet the beggars still used the same phrase over and over again. Soon Zeruels kindness to them faded altogether. and he began to see the beggars as the other people did, as a drain on society and a waste of space. He would curse them as he passed them or avoid them altogether. others did the same, following in Zeruel's example; Zeruel's insults became louder and louder until the crowds became uproarious with the beggars. One late night, after a long day of work, he passed by where the beggars were only to find them missing from their usual haunt. he became curious as to the whereabouts of the homeless wretches and searched the nearby area. in an ally not to far away he came across a truly horrendous sight. strewn about the ally was the battered and bloody remains of the beggars. Zeruel ran to them, checking to see that indeed all of them were dead, one blind man though, still clung to life. Zeruel went over to the old man and asked what had occurred. Upon hearing his voice, the blind mans old countenance cracked into a bloody smile with broken teeth. tears streamed down his dead eyes and he said that while they all had wished for death, Zeruel's kindness had made them want to live enough to want to see another day, and that even when he had turned on them, they held hope that he would still pass by everyday and at least acknowledge there existence. Zeruel felt all the hate he held towards the beggars melt away, and great amounts of grief welled up in its place. As blind man slumped over and breathed his last, Zeruel let out a roar of anger and regret. hearing this, the guards came and found him hunched over the dead bodies of several men and was arrested on sight. He did not deny the crime, feeling that it was as much his fault as anyone's. and spent the next decade and a half in a small 8'x8' room. Part four: Redemption; Zeruel was released from his captivity for showing good behavior and showing true repentance for the acts he had committed. Now he searches for new meaning, hoping to help as many people who need it and Simply live as well as he can. Hoping, that he will not need kindness, but will return any given to him 10-fold. -Character Age: 35 -Character Appearance: Has glasses and a blue tunic, wears shoddy leather padding and brown trousers. -Character Personality: After his incarceration, Zeruel tries to just get by and helps those he can. he comes off as a kind fellow, but can be seen as a bit of a hermit. -Your ambitions: To live, and to live happily. and to help those in need. -Can your character read or write?: yes -Can your character mine?: forced labor included such things...(yes) -Are you a capable builder? construction was never my strong suite...(no) -Can you wield a sword?: Basic training from the militia makes me an adequate fighter...(yes) -Enjoy Farming?: Raised by farmers, never really took to me though...(maybe) -Does your character have any special skills?:] developed a good habit of not being seen when he doesn't want to be -A screenshot of your skin: My link -Other Information: I donated to the server already (Steel level) I don't expect it to help too much, but I hope it shows that I'm more committed then other applicants
