I'm thinking of joining the guard. But what are a guardmens duties and the amount of time one spends on those duties? ...ah also what is the pay like and the benifits?

Though he comes from a family of farmers Markul has always has dreamed of leaving the farm and become a famous well-known swordsman, but never had the chance or mean to do so. Although now he has a more meaningful purpose for what his family and friends call "foolish attempt to be someone he isn't." Recently the some crops have started to fail to growing. At first no one thought it to be anything but a minor problem. But rumors have it that the taint of the undead is spreading through the lands. Everyone is nervous about these rumors and if they are true their farms and their lives will be ruined. However, no one want to believe that the rumor could be true and so they don't they ignore it. Markul is not so sure. So he plans to leave for Al'Khazar and to create a second "backup" home for him and his family if the worst does happen while trying to achieve his dream of being a swordsman. -Character Age: 20 years old -Character Appearance: Brown hair and beard, 6 ft, 180 pounds, heavy build with broad shoulders and barrel chested -Character Personality: Very skeptical, hates farms, brave, straightforward and not very smart. He tries to do the right thing but sometimes worsens the situation from idiocy. -Your ambitions: Markul wants to secure a "safety backup" house in Al'Khazar for his family while training to become skilled with a sword. He was raised by the monks of the temple. And because the world was considered far too dangerous for him in his youth he was forbidden to leave the temple until he reached the age of 20.
