  1. ~*~The Druidic Order~*~ Updated: July 31, 2013 The Druidic Order is a group dedicated to preserving the balance of nature. All Druids undergo years of learning and studying in order to establish a strong link with nature. Although some are known to walk the land spreading the teachings of Druidism, the Order currently resides in the Druidic Grove in Leumaelin, Malinor. Despite the misconception that only elves can be Druids, the Order is open to all races, as it welcomes all who wish to follow the way of the Aspects. *Note, the Druids do not recognize those who proclaim to walk the way of the Druid yet do not take the time to go through the studying. That is to say, only those who have been promoted to the status of Druid by one of the Guide rank or higher will be acknowledged for their wisdom. ~Information~ Totems All of those who are full-fledged druids possess a title, sometimes referred to as a totem. This totem represents their history, their personality, and their approach to life. It is up to the Druid to identify themselves with an appropriate title. The time at which a Dedicant becomes a Druid is up to both those higher in the Order and the Dedicant themselves. Powers It is well known that Druids are some of the best healers in the land, yet the true extent of these powers is unknown. Druids have been known to bring people back from the brink of death and restore sight to the blind. The Druids are deeply connected to nature, yet do not control nature, but serve it. To try to have power over something without understanding is against their ways. It is more similar to asking nature for favors, and then doing nature favors in return. Though, nature will sometimes do very large favors, if the situation calls for it. Townspeople were shocked when, with the aid of the Wayward Staff, Petyr conjured a small forest inside the gates of Al'Khazar. Responsibilities The Druids pride themselves with being the keepers and protectors of nature. They will allow the chopping down of a tree, possibly even the removal of a forest, but in return they expect each tree to be replanted elsewhere. Druids are non violent and, due to long periods of studying in their libraries, are known to be fantastic sources for information. However, despite their non violent tendencies, Druids will do whatever it takes to preserve the safety of nature when it is threatened, and will resort to fighting if the situation demands it. The Druids use their prowess in healing to their advantage, and are often approached when an individual is ill or injured. The Order is also in association with Malinor, and in the past has had close connections with the Elven goverment, including having certain Druids hold seats in the Elven Council. ~Hierarchy~ Demi-Aspect Demi-Aspects are Druids that have passed on from this world to enjoy eternal rest with the Aspects. One of the highest honors the Order can bestow, these Druids are revered as the highest example of Druids. They are sometimes referred to as the saints of the Druids. Current Demi-Aspects: Cleric Druid Mahten (urpenguin) Dusk Druid Aeaira (serenityonyx) Dragon Druid Apollan (Elite117) Tiger Druid Darrian (rittsy) Stone Druid Lyrian (Seiryuuin) Aura Druid Beleran (ShaftyMcGee) Faey Druid Vanya (ElynxYon) Oasis Druid John (123devmo321) Notable Druids Notable Druids are the historically famous members of the Order that have guided it through difficult times, and propelled it into the future. Current Notable Druids: Wayward Druid Respiren - The Founder (Respiren) Salmon Druid Petyr - The Dreamer (drplat) Dawn Druid Maiavel - The Reformer (Maiavel) Hierophant Hierophants are retired Druids who previously held important roles in the Order and were voted to be worthy of the title. Hierophants are most often Arch or Elder Druids, although on rare occasions a Druid who was neither but played a significant role in the Order may be bestowed the title. Since they are retired, Hierophants do not have any true responsibilities other than what they set for themselves, although they often act as advisors to the Arch and Elder Druids. If a decision or vote made by the Inner Circle is split, a Hierophant may be called to sway the vote one way or the other or perhaps act as the tie breaking vote. Hierophants are often known to spend long periods of time meditating to become closer to the Aspects, and to spread the word of Druidism to all who might listen. Current Hierophants: Scion Druid Alan (rittsy) Spirit Druid Saviticus (Saviordude) Zephyr Druid Callax (12werbles12) Ice Druid Jameson (123trevmo321) Fox Druid Valas (urpenguin) Arum Druid Dover (racingbrother) Oak Druid Thudrin (cmack1028) Song Druid Arik (YifengZhong) Arch Druid Arch Druids are the heads of the inner workings of the Order as a whole. In addition to the responsibilities of a Guide, Arch Druids are responsible for maintaining and managing the Order as well as keeping its Guide Druids and Dedicants in check. This includes ensuring that the amount of members in the Order do not dwindle, up-keeping the Mother Grove, maintaining relations with other factions/nations, as well as punishing those in the Order who have done some wrong, among a variety of other things. Arch Druids are seen as the “managers” of the Order, as without them it would fall apart and its purpose would be lost. Arch Druids may call for a moot or a shun. Current Arch Druids: Stag Druid Gavin (GreatSmirnovious) Seed Druid Kefi (Roxforbraynz) Druid Guide Guide Druids are Druids who play the role of teachers in the Order. Guides have the responsibility of “guiding” Dedicants and assisting them in their journey to Druidism. Guides do this by teaching and instructing the Dedicants, as well as by giving them tasks and trials to test and develop their abilities so that they are prepared to be attuned. Guides do not only teach Dedicants, however, as a Guide may also assist Druids who are still searching for their role in the Order. A Druid is made into a Guide if the Arch Druid(s) deem him or her worthy of the position. Current Druid Guides: Shadow Druid Victivus (Swgrclan) Bear Druid Isabella (TheEpicFiend) Butterfly Druid Makayla (MonkeyCoffee) Apple Druid Leyun (Tristanm1) Blossom Druid Fleur (Flexave) Shroom Druid Milo (Matt011011) Bird Druid Faolin (Evilbanana5757) Druid The standard and fundamental position in the Order, a Druid is a servant of the Aspects as well as a protector of both the Order and nature itself. A Druid’s tasks are broad and numerous, although they are collectively grouped under either the roles of the Guiding Path or the Guarding Path. A Druid who displays exceptional dedication may be invited to proceed to a more advanced role in one of the paths if he or she chooses to. Current Druids: Rain Druid Valiel (WhiteVodka) Fog Druid Celthorn (Volutional) Dove Druid Elorna (birdwhisperer) Snow Druid Beth (Bethgod7) Dedicant The initiate level of the Druids, Dedicants are the main trunk of the Order. Dedicants, in their study and preparation to become an attuned Druid, are often given tasks and trials to prove their commitment and integrity so that their character, strengths and weaknesses might be judged. Although an associate, a Dedicant is not truly a member of the Order until he or she becomes attuned with nature and the Aspects, marking his or her first steps as a Druid. Current Druid Dedicants: Dedicant Dagor (0Altariel0) Dedicant Yomi (imjoebaker) Dedicant Dadrin (Anawkin52) Dedicant Eldon (snowshovel) Dedicant Dain (candydeath13) Dedicant Raktar (chimp2008) Dedicant Alirya (sapphireh2o) Dedicant Jakob [Krunos10] Lost Druid This is the rank for Druids who have disappeared without a trace or explanation. They have not left the Order nor did they give a excuses for their long absences. If or when they return they might be punished depending on the excuse and length of absence. Current Lost Druids: Sunshine Druid Verden (Jallentime) Rabbit Druid Hoppy (Nugosaurus) Turtle Druid Durdin (Tethras) Nightshade Druid Nug (Nugosaurus) Twillight Druid Evelyn (Moorke) Dream Druid Ellser (Tigergamer) Out of Use Titles These are currently titles or positions that are no longer being used by the Order. They may be re-implemented or taken out at any time. Head Teacher In charge of all teaching and advancement from Dedicant to Guide. Grand Druid An Arch Druid who acts as a diplomat between different Druid circles. Druid Guardian Guardian Druids are Druids who play the role of protectors and up-keepers of nature in the Order. Guardians spend most of their time roaming the world and restoring any land that may have been destroyed. Guardians are responsible for restoring blighted land, protecting land that is in immediate danger, spreading and maintaining plant and animal life alike, among other things. If a Guardian happens to stumble across a lumber camp, do not be surprised if the next day it is replaced by a lush and vibrant forest. Similarly, expect to come across a Guardian blocking your path if your intent is to upset the balance of life in the world (I.E. going on hunts very often or destroying more trees than that which are planted). A Druid is made into a Guardian if the Elder Druids deem him or her worthy of the position. Elder Druid Elder Druids are the heads of the workings of the Guardian Druids and dealings regarding Nature itself. As well as the responsibilities of Guardians, Elder Druids are responsible for acting as peacekeepers in physical disputes (I.E. wars), as well as acting as voices of reason and wisdom to non-members of the Order in situations where it is needed. Elder Druids are seen as the “Keepers of Nature” in the Order, as without them Nature would become greatly unbalanced and ravaged by the day to day dealings of the rest of the world. Elder Druids may call for a moot or a shun. ~Druidic Literature~ This section is a collection of all the works of literature, fiction and non-fiction created by Druids themselves or their friends. They cover a range of topics such as lore, poems and recipes. Some are manuals or compilations of sayings. They all talk about Druids, are written by Druids or concerns Druids and their ways.... Or they include mushrooms. The Druidic Library! ~-~-~-~ An Insight Into Druidic Culture by Arik Druidic culture exists around the principal of "preservation of nature". It should be noted that if one seeks to be added to the Order, they must understand the true commitment to the following. Most assume that Druidism is a small commitment, and for this reason many are turned away. From an out of character standpoint, one must understand the process that takes place when becoming a Druid. The Druids are a very proud people, and their culture reflects that. And while it is understood that diverse and unique RP is encouraged for each individual, one must also understand the change in mindset required to become a Druid. "Dedicancy", or the act of learning to become a full-fledged Druid, is an extremely important process. Through different tasks and lessons the Dedicant will learn culture related to the Druids, and more importantly over time grow into our mindset. What does this mean? Well, first, and most importantly, it means that people who learn to become a Druid ICly become conditioned to think and act like a Druid would. With a strict culture and proud people, having people that act out of the Druid's values isn't something tolerated. For instance, Dedicants are taught to despise and condemn magic. Its use is a perversion and abomination to the Druids, and therefore the Druids do not associate with magic users, usually under any circumstances. When becoming a Druid one would expect the Dedicant's mindset to be changed accordingly. The most important part about being a Druid though is understanding the wisdom of the elder Druids, for they have endured much and understand many things. True commitment of nature will create a great Druid. Personal gain will only see a Dedicant fail to be attuned. ~-~-~-~ Note: More books, individual pages and authors to come soon! Heed this warning! All who attempt copy, sell, or distribute Druidic material or are found to possess said material, will be found guilty of plagiarism. Unless proper authorities are contacted immediately, you will be punished to the full extent of law! They sell a variety of items, mostly things that grow in nature such as leaves, plants and trees. Only Guide Druids and up are given permission to have affiliation with the shops. ~Notable Locations~ Current Location(s) The Wandering Grove - Anthos Past Locations The Laurelin Mother Grove - Aegis The Rose Grove - Aegis The Elandriel Mother Grove Grove - Asulon The Solace Grove - Asulon The Skravia Grove - Asulon The Elysium Grove - Elysium The Kalos Grove - Kalos The Leumaelin Grove - Anthos ~Signature~ ~Joining!~ Interested in our Order, one of the largest and oldest guilds on the server?
