  1. Dude, you just copied like half of my application. You didn't even edit the bits with my character's name in it. Not cool. Edit: Never mind, just saw your next post.
  2. Out-Of-Character: -Minecraft Account Name: thelandofluke -How old are you?: 19 -Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Australian Eastern Standard Time(AEST)/Australia -Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes -Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I don't get out that often, and spend the majority of my time with my eyes glued to my laptop. As a result I'm not terribly good with people I don't know extremely well. -How much time could you be on the server weekly?: This really depends how much I enjoy playing on the server to be honest. If it holds my attention, I could easily spend at least 20 to 40 hours on per week. -How long have you played minecraft?: On and off for around a year I'd say. -What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?: Well, I know what it is, and how it works. As for experience, I've done a little of forum RP-ing in the past, and I spent some time on the RP servers in WoW. I think my main problem is that I'm not very talkative in real life, and that's reflected in how I roleplay. -What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect the level of RP on this server to be pretty heavy, but what I'm really looking forward to the most are the RPG elements of the server (eg: skill levels, races, cities, wars, etc.) as I feel this would really give me the direction I've been looking for that others servers just haven't provided. -What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Buxville, Minerealm, Minefire. As stated above, these servers just don't provide any kind of incentive to keep going, primarily because there's already an elite group of players that monopolise the server, and to try and come close to catching up to them is a ridiculous feat. Also, the work you have to put in to achieve anything at all far outweighs the minor rewards you'll receive in the process. -Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? What about the lore?: Yes, the rules and the lore are largely what I expect from a server like this. -Name the 4 races on this server. Humans, Dwarves, Orcs, Elves. -How did you hear about us?: From your impressively high ranking on minestatus.net. -Did you vote?: Yes, all three times. -What was your favourite Law?: I like that you implement in-game punishments, like imprisonment, and not just the usual banning or muting that would come with a regular server. -What was your least favourite Law?: I didn't have a problem with any of the laws, but the one thing that doesn't quite sit right with me is that the ability to lock chests is a donator-only function. I mean, I'll probably just end up donating so I can do it, but not having that available to everyone seems a bit odd given that it takes a little bit away from the realism of the server, which defines it as a roleplaying server. -What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name? edgrr In-Character: -Character Name: Luke Edgar -What is your Race?: Human -Lordofthecraft.net/forum account: (1. This isn't very IC, and 2. I'm pretty sure I just answered this.) edgrr -Biography: Luke Edgar is a young, adult male Human, who has recently left the discomfort of his family home to seek out his place in the world of Aegis. With nothing but the clothes on his back, and a sturdy resolve, he hopes to discover a new home, free of his parents' constant condemnation. During his youth, Luke's mother suffered from Münchhausen syndrome, regularly feigning illnesses to receive undue care, which his father worked tirelessly to provide, thus leaving Luke to fend for himself and grow up quickly. While his siblings surrounded themselves in scholarly pursuits, Luke turned inward and found a keen creative sense lurking within. Using this talent, and many blank canvases, he spent his ascension into adulthood creating a world which slowly enveloped him, turning him into a social recluse, and an outcast among his once-close friends. Unfortunately, Luke's parents only saw his artistic hand as a shame when compared to his siblings, and subsequently shunned his desire to progress. Detaching now, too, from his family life, Luke sets out to find a better life, where his creative endeavours can be appreciated, and his presence not merely tolerated, but wanted, even needed. -Character Age: 19 -Character Appearance: Shaggy, dark brown, unkempt mop of hair, and a scruffy layer of stubble. Grey-blue eyes, one slightly lazier than the other. A lightly tanned complexion, and average facial features. -Character Personality: Quiet, with a dry sense of humour, and a strange fascination with the obscure. Desperately wishes to be the strong, brave man that his father wasn't. -Your ambitions: To be appreciated among other like-minded folk, and to create a life that feels like it matters, as he was so often burdened with the frustration of invisibility and insufficiency as a child. -Can your character read or write?: Luke's reading and writing capabilities are good. Perhaps better than many others his age. However, his lacking attention span often does him a disservice as his potential to gain a greater general knowledge and understanding of the world around him is hindered. -Can your character mine?: Growing up in an industrious city known for its coal exports, Luke picked up on a few things here and there, but his skill as a miner is certainly nothing professional as of yet. -Are you a capable builder?: With his father always working to fund his mother's false sicknesses, Luke, as the eldest male, was required to keep the house structurally in-check, often learning the tricks of the trade as he did so. -Can you wield a sword?: If death was near, and there was no other option, Luke wouldn't hesitate to swing a blade in the face of an enemy. However, if an escape route was possible, he'd more readily take that path. -Enjoy Farming?: Luke's family did live on a farm, however it was very modest, and not their primary source of income. A few chickens and sheep were all that he ever had to tend to whilst living there. -Does your character have any special skills?: Good with a pencil or paintbrush, Luke's creative soul seeps into everything he does, be it the pattern in which digs out a hole, or how designs his living arrangements, whatever they may be. -A screenshot of your skin: http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/3929/lotcskin.jpg -Other Information: I've been working on this application for the better part of 4 hours, so forgive me for not wanting to write anything more here.
