However he is often mocked because of his inability to grow beard after an explosion marred the lower half of his face. All true dwarves should have long heavy beards and Zane is unable to have such so he keeps his lower face covered and speaks from behind a leather cowl. His father was a professional tracker and was often called upon to go hunt through the mines for lost dwarves, knowing that this was a useful skill, Dane Kilrig made sure to teach it to his son. Zane acquired his love of thick meads through more than dwarven tradition; his mother was a brewer and would often use the boy to test new flavors and qualities of the meads she made. In fact, Zane took to the task so well that his parents would often bribe him with mead in order to get him to do tasks he normally wouldn’t do. -Character Age: 134 -Character Appearance: Particularly tall for a dwarf, Zane stand within half an inch of five feet depending on his posture. He is constantly garbed in a combination of tanned leather and dwarven chainmail. His hair is short and black as obsidian, same as his eyes. His skin is tanned by the light of lava pools and marked by burns and scars. The lower half of his face is covered by a leather cowl which hides heavy marring and the fact that he cannot grow a beard. -Character Personality: Zane is a dwarf, that means he enjoys boasting and drinking. He has a tendency to drink too much and get into fights that get him thrown out of bars and pubs. He also enjoys mining and is well known for bringing back packs full of minerals. -Your ambitions: Like most dwarves, Zane dreams of riches, he wants to bathe in diamonds and gold.
