He was taught the arts of swordsmanship, archery and mining from a young age, proving to be proficient at all he set his hands to. After his uneventful childhood, Thorgrim was cheated by his younger brother Torak who murdered his parents and seized control of the city-nation, simultaneously casting Thorgrim out and sentencing him to death. By chance, Thorgrim was rescued by a war veteran who was still loyal to the true heir and escaped from the mad clutches of Torak. Thorgrim then travelled the lands of Aegis with his new master, who gave him advanced training in the arts of war as well as studies on history, geography and religion. Humbled by this experience, Thorgrim put aside all thoughts of revenge, and set his efforts and time to helping people. After a long day of giving aid to the homeless in Kal’Urgan, Thorgrim and his master prepared for a long night of rest, but this would not be. The Undead assaulted the great city, separating Thorgrim and his master, and forcing him to flee. Thorgrim then learnt that his brother Torak was aiding the undead and hatred anew swelled up inside him. Filled with a lust for revenge, Thorgrim attempted to infiltrate the Undead ranks, but was injured and carried away by a priest. The next time Thorgrim regained consciousness, he had been carried into the new world of Asulon, his body, poisoned by the undead, had been on the brink of death for weeks. With a steely resolve, he swore an oath to find his master. With no leads, he had only a name… …Azaghal… What are your characters ambitions?: My character has an undying hatred for the undead, and lives to see the dark presence crushed by the might of the Dwarven army. He also wanders the world, searching for his master whom was lost to him. Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: Attachment Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: Not really Open-Response-Questions Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short. Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? I browse the dwarfs wares, my mind instantly remembering the aid work I did with my master at Kal’Urgan. I feel pity and sorrow towards this dwarf, as none of our great race should be subject to such conditions. A loaf of bread catches my eye and the shopkeeper smiles as I pay twice as much as the bread is worth. I walk away until I am out of site of the dwarf, and using my stealth skills, quietly slip some of my royal gems that I keep with me as a memento of my old life, into the shopkeepers purse. I walk away happy, knowing that the dwarf shall never go hungry or without shelter again. You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? I see the dwarf in trouble, and my heart fills with rage that some creature would hurt a harmless being. I hide behind a tree and pick up a small rock off the ground. I weigh the stone heftily weighing my options, then throw the stone a small distance away. The sound distracts the orc who bellows, “who is there?” While he moves over to investigate, I quickly dart out and using my innate Dwarven strength, hoist the victim onto my shoulders and hide behind a nearby tree. The orc turns around and is furious, spit shooting from his mouth as he bellows and yells but to no avail, as his dim witted nature prevents him from locating our position. After a few minutes, he gives up, storming off to search for a new conflict. I know of a small village not far from here and with the dwarf over my shoulder I head off… Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: I quickly run over to the old man, just in time to catch him from falling, I see he looks sickly and carry him to a shady patch under a nearby tree. As I prop the old man up against the tree and reach into my bag for my flask of water, he mumbles about his money. I turn around to see some young children run away with the last of the money. Feeling sorry for the old man, I feel around my bag and draw out a small pouch of Minas, handing it to the unfortunate soul. I take a look at his leg, which seemed to have been broken and not set properly in past times. Without his walking stick he seems unable to walk, so I reach for my axe and hack a sturdy branch off the tree. He has fallen unconscious by this point, so I set down my bags and start shaping the branch into a walking stick, using my small knife to carve decorative details into the shaft. The night is coming quickly, and I carry the old man to a nearby inn, paying for a room for both him and myself. After setting the man down, I prepare for a long night of drinking, happy that I have helped another.
