  1. Out-Of-Character: -Minecraft Account Name: ravdragon -How old are you?: 34 -Time-Zone/Country of Residence: EST/USA -Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes. -Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm a lifelong gamer, a full time Systems Administrator and a father. In my spare time I enjoy watching movies, playing computer games and reading. Minecraft is a relatively new obsession. I've always enjoyed the more sandboxy style of games. -How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I'd estimate around 10 hours per week, including weekend play. -How long have you played Minecraft?: I've played on and off for 6 months or so. -What do you know about Roleplaying? What is it?: I started playing D&D nearly 20 years ago and learned about pen and paper roleplaying. That branched off into all kinds of gaming systems in all sorts of groups. I've played and run campaigns in worlds as diverse as Forgotten Realms, Shadowrun and Rifts. In the late '90s, I switched to mostly playing MMOs for my roleplaying fix. My favorite MMO to this day is Ultima Online and I played it for nearly 10 years before throwing in the towel. I enjoy developing a character and interacting with others in character... gaming is supposed to be an escape after all, right? To me, roleplaying is more than just pretending to be someone else. It's about building a story and interacting with others in a respectful and meaningful way. -What do you expect this server will be like?: A "living world" is what I'm really hoping for. A place with unique characters and consequences for your actions. Somewhere that I could start fresh and build something with other people. -What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I haven't actually played any Minecraft servers before. In fact, until now I assumed they were all just a chaotic mess of building and destroying things. I feel like I've been missing out! -Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have and I do. -Name the 4 races on this server: Human, elf, orc, dwarf. -How did you hear about us?: I stumbled across a Youtube comment and then video. -Did you vote? Yes -What was your favorite Law?: I'd say my favorite is the "always in character" law. -What was your least favorite Law?: None of them. They're all laws that I agree with. -What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Auren Stark In-Character: -Character Name: Auren Stark -What is your Race?: Human -Biography: I was born and raised in the western lands around the human city of Oren. My mother was a seamstress who focused on making clothing repairs for the other townsfolk. My father was a miner who ran a successful supply operation for many years until a mine collapse crushed his legs and damaged his lungs, permanently disabling him. With my father no longer working and my mother focused on his caretaking, the family came to depend on me to earn the minas to keep us fed and sheltered. At 12 years old I was doing odd jobs for anyone willing to pay. Those years were tough, but we pulled through. When I was a little older, around 15, I followed my father's steps into the mines and began working for a former employee of his who was still a close family friend. Working long hours underground sweating over a pick axe completed my transformation into manhood. As I grew stronger and more skilled, I was able to bring in enough money to rebuild the life that we enjoyed before my father's accident. Years later, in an eerily similar twist of fate, the mine I was working in suffered a partial collapse and trapped a dozen of us in the darkness. It wasn't long before panic set in amongst the workers, but I was able to keep my head and direct our efforts to escaping alive. After hours of digging in the direction of an underground stream that I knew existed nearby, we emerged safely into a large cavern with a high opening. It wasn't long before the rescue party heard our shouts, and ropes came down to bring us up. Afterward, my employer praised me for my efforts and personally thanked me with a large sum of minas... his oldest son was one of the workers in the mine, and he held me personally responsible for saving him. Feeling that the time was right, I asked him to instead direct the money to my mother and father and to make sure that they were taken care of for a while. Wanderlust had been setting in for the last couple of years, and I was ready to strike out on my own, explore the world around me and begin a life for myself. Mining ore wasn't the choice profession for me, I wanted to learn to work the ore and create weapons and armor for soldiers and adventurers. -Character Age: 21 -Character Appearance: Slim athletic build with dark brown hair, green eyes and usually a few days facial hair growth. -Character Personality: Stoic, but good-natured. I know the value of hard work and I know the responsibility of family. I have a strong sense of right and wrong, and I live my life according to what my heart tells me. -Your ambitions: To eventually own and run my own smithy. I want to craft weapons and armor and become an integral part of the community. Until I have the skills and funds necessary, I am planning on adventuring and hopefully finding another smith who would take me on as an apprentice. -Can your character read or write?: Yes to both, but at a very rudimentary level. I know this is something I'll need to improve on before I can run my own shop. -Can your character mine?: Yes. Like my father, I mined for years. I can spot a vein as well as any other man. -Are you a capable builder?: It's not my specialty, but I am handy enough to put together basic structures. -Can you wield a sword?: Not yet, but I'm learning. After all, you can't make weapons without knowing how to use them. -Enjoy Farming?: No. I'll leave farming to the farmers. -Does your character have any special skills?: Nothing of an out-of-the-ordinary sort. -A screenshot of your skin: (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/406/auren.jpg) -Other Information: Nothing important. Thanks!
