Hey guys!
I played an Orc (and a Halfling, and an Adunian) back in the day, used to be a Gorkil wargoth. Just hopped on to refresh some old memories and I may hop on to screw around and roam the desert occasionally. Probably won’t play too much as I’m finishing up university and working a lot, but nevertheless I wanted to catch up with y’all.
What’s the state of the server? What’s the state of the Orcs? If anyone remembers me I’d love to catch up!

Durakhan also has a blessing from Wargoth Grothmar'Gorkil that he is destined for greatness! It doesn't really make much of a difference, but use that to spice up your RP.

what a perfect time to tear down the establishment of GRINDING, let RP beat out the grind. build your reputation as a blacksmith through roleplay! roleplay! roleplay! roleplay! people complain that the skill system promotes a pvp-oriented server. i love pvp, but grinding does really take away from the fun of storytelling on here.

A piece of paper would be pinned underneath the notice, written in simple black handwriting.
"I have interest in this job, where can I meet the Lord Rothesay to perhaps discuss working in his establishment? -Rajul"

In the Spirit World, Grothmar'Gorkil wanders, lost. It had been months since he had taken a journey there in search of his ancestors, and he had traveled too far within it - to the point of losing his way back home. His hope had grown brittle, his vigour had grown thin. Walking slowly through the empty, trancelike plains, a flash of light suddenly illuminates the earth around him. Grothmar turns around, and sees a bright light rising up into the sky. At that, he takes charge, a spark of hope burning deep in his chest. Hours and hours, he runs, trying to reach the light. Slowly, the land around him becomes familiar, the light having guided him to the place where he entered the Spirit Land - the place where he can return to the land of mortals. The light moves upwards towards the heavens, and to Grothmar it is likely a prominent, honorable Orc that has passed on and is ready to find peace. Little does he know it is an old ally of his, Pheadrus of the Clan Yar. The light flickers and disappears up past the clouds.
Grothmar awakes to a fierce thunderstorm outside of Mount Gorkil. Though many would call this a natural occurrence, Orcs around would know that there is a klomp between legendary Orcs in the heavens. Pheadrus of Clan Yar has joined their ranks.

This doesnt make much sense......I mean Narthok hasnt really killed the emperor, he usually sends the flays to and he just sprints around in status recording. However narthok tends to get killed lot more.

I hope my word still counts even though I'm pretty much gone.
This is not the way to go, imo. The current system is not broken. Yes, the best PvPer can rise to Rexdom. But it does not allow for an idiot to stay in power. If it truly is bad, the Orcs will spit that Rex out quicker than you can say Ug. Voting is not the Orcish way, Orcs are too brutish to wait so long on an election. Uruks are creatures of the moment, not really ones for waiting, waiting, and waiting.
Leave voting to the Elves. Orcs solve problems with their fists, not their pens.

Orc Ideas

Hey folks,
I have not played on the server for a very long time but I have been looking at the orc forum for a while trying to catch up. There have been a lot of culture changes since I played, it looks like Dark Elves and Orcs are closely linked, lots of new clans with different ideas, etc. No longer living in the deserts.
There’s nothing wrong with that, but I know I had a lot of fun playing an orc devoted to making his ancestors proud, seeking wisdom from the past, etc. Shamanism was more of a tool to make roleplay – reaching out to ancestors to ask if they should join in on a clan war or not, receiving a blessing from a lutauman that gives you the strength of your old dead clan leader (even though it didn’t actually change anything in PVP), finding prophetic signs out of the innards of animals that you hunt... things like that. Idk the orc community’s plans in 8.0 but would anyone be potentially interested in playing a more old fashioned type of orc? I’ve thought of playing more of a nomadic breed that wanders the desert because of the drift of the current culture from what it was.
Would love to hear your thoughts.
