  1. Out-Of-Character: -Minecraft Account Name: TomMeijer -How old are you?: I am 15 years of age. -Time-Zone/Country of Residence: New Zealand / +12 GMT -Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, English is my first language although I am only human and certainly do make mistakes. I try my best not to. -Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a student attending a public College in New Zealand. After coming home from school I usually enjoy hanging out with my friends on the computer. -How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I could be on the server for about 25 hours a week, although I most usually will not this much time. Although, I can be the average time I expect to be on is about 18 hours. With exams coming up soon I can’t really say that I’ll be on that much in the current term. -How long have you played Minecraft?: I have played Minecraft for about a year now, maybe a bit less. I’m not actually too sure when I started. -What do you know about Roleplaying? What is it?: I know that role playing involves taking the role of a character and is constantly susceptible to change as its influenced by reactions of others. Roleplaying doesn’t follow a script and is constantly changing which is different to acting. This is because it involves taking the part of the character and interacting with things and people since you make the decisions that the character would. -What do you expect this server will be like?: I think that this server will be interesting; I have no idea what to expect. The concepts will definitely be different from being in another Minecraft server and I really have no idea how it will function. I think it will be good though as both roleplaying and Minecraft have infinite possibilities. -What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have been in quite a few servers, around 6-7. Although, 3-4 of them were not public but private servers hosted by friends, with our regular home computers and bandwidth its very hard for us to keep it up and therefore we had to close them down. The other servers I have been to were public servers hosted in Australia. There was AussieGamerHub which was a good server; I enjoyed it until ownership changed so I decided to leave. Another server I have/am been/being in is Muppmine. Although since Minecraft official release is coming out and the map will be reset, we do not want to waste time in things which will be in vane. So my friend found this server and we thought it would be a great change of pace. -Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes, I have read the rules and I do agree to them. -Name the 4 races on this server: The four generic races are Elves descendants of Malin, Humans descendants of Horen, The Orcs descendants of Krug and finally the Dwarves descendants of Urguan. -How did you hear about us?: I heard about it from a friend who is also currently trying to apply for the server. -What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Maestren In-Character: -Character Name: Alexandre L Maestren -What is your Race?: I will be a human, although I cannot decide whether to maintain being generic or become a Northerner. -Biography: Maes as some of the people close to him called him was born in an average size village in the North, this explains his stocky build but he’s on the short side at about 1.57m of height. His father, Bartholomew Maestren was quite a successful merchant. He worked for a trade guild which sent him throughout many lands around the area, which made him quite wealthy during the right seasons. Maes’ mother, Cecilia was a tailor designing and making clothes usually out of the fabrics which her spouse bought. Bartholomew would bring his family with him as he would usually always be on the road; this made Maes quite a lonely child when he was younger. Although because of this he never had a tutor or a teacher to learn off. Maes’ learnt everything off of his parents ranging from maths to literature; even life’s essentials such as swimming were taught by his father. He studied his teachings as he was lacking company and he read many books though as a child his interests diminished in these complex anthologies his father brought. Also as being the son of merchant he picked up the skills of a merchant, the tricks of the trade. Although, he never really paid attention just a faint trickle of tricks which he over heard from his fathers dealings. His mother tried teaching him the lute but quickly found that Maes has no musical talent what so ever. One night, whilst Maes was only 14 a group of bandits attacked the family and their hired hands whilst Maes and Cecilia were at the shops for the group’s dinner. The men were killed and the bandits left nothing, taking their cart and even the pouches the men had on them. Everything was lost on this night. Mother and son were left with no money whatsoever as they had no minas except for the ones they had from shopping, little to none. They sought desperately for work as they had no fabric to work with and no money for food. Although they found refuge in a local church which opened up their doors and allowed them to take shelter there. They both looked desperately for work where Maes found a job as a baker’s assistant as it involved long and early hours for little pay. His mother, Cecilia worked as a waitress earning little as well. Slowly they scraped by, eating the left-over bread which the baker had sold to them for less. They were even able to leave the church due to one of Cecilia’s friends offering housing. After 2 months as they were finally getting off their feet through their gruelling work, Cecilia grew ill. She was bed ridden and both of them feel as they were kicked by this cruel fate just as they were about to stand up. But 4 months after, Cecilia died. Maes mourned his mother’s death as he did for his father. Now suffering from depression he struggled along, the attic of the house seemed much warmer with his mother around. The suffering and turmoil of losing everything had been relentless to Maes and he carried like this for another 6 months, alone. During the course of this sad and repetitive process Maes encountered something as he was walking home the bakery. He saw a vendor who was haggling some dirt claiming it is from the Elven forests which will greatly nurture his plants. Intrigued by this prospect he approached the two people making the transaction and looked at the merchandise. The vendor quickly snapped at Maes telling him to get his hands off the merchandise. Maes said that this dirt came from further north of that area and you can tell by the faint grains of sand and dry loose texture of the dirt. The man then took his minas and left. The vendor got angry and chased out Maes and he ran towards home. He bumped into the man who thanked him and handed him some minas, he asked how he knew. Maes then went on to explain his past with his father and how they passed through both areas where he had noted the different feel of the dirt when he was running along. The man took him to a meal and asked about more from this boy, which Maes returned by answering. Touched by this tragic story, the man invited Maes was invited to his estate which turned out to be very big. The man’s name was Lysander Giovan a duke. Maes was accepted into the family living as a home stay and was 15 at that time. Lysander also hired a tutor for Maes and Maes studied there for 2 years where he was quite happy, he had the company of the duke’s family and the many servants around the house even though he was neglected a lot. The 2 years passed by quite quickly for Maes and he learned an ordeal from his tutor, and he was very grateful to Lysander and the family. As this time passed by an event ensued where the Lord of the area was overthrown by an unknown group seeking dictatorship. Lysander, fearing his well being as he was under the Lord’s jurisdiction and not knowing will happen to him; hung himself. His family left soon after, not telling any of the servants and taking their belongings. The servants realized what was happening as the villages in the area were being ransacked and everything was being looted or destroyed. They took their belongings as well as the valuables of the household and left. Nobody remember about Maes but Maes heard about what was going on from one of the servants. He stored his belongings but remained in the household as he had nowhere to go and it was sheltered here. From this he spent a month or two in the house, lonely yet again once so full of life. He spent his time walking the halls of his home, revising his teachings and lying in reminiscence. Although, whilst walking around he heard an oncoming group of looters not so far away so he took his belongings and left. He had taken with him some minas very few though, a picture of the family, a few old books he found and some food. Not knowing where to go he left hopping from village to village in search of work, he found none as the villages were either scarce in population or there were too many people looking for jobs. Maes went for a long time searching for jobs passing as many as 10 villages, sometimes he would manage a job for very cheap pay but then the establishment would close down. It was like this for 2 years; Maes spent lots of time travelling, he met many new people and learned many new things although it was lonely, tiring and he grew hungry many times. It is to these times where he had become desperate daring him to do things he wouldn’t normally do. -Character Age: 19 -Character Appearance: Maes is a short but stocky Human from the North.
