Yep, I'm realizin' that walkin' around aimlessly in Aegis is a stupid idea. So if anyon' needs anythin' done, just tell me the time, place, and pay an' I'll get it done. I'm not very good wit' a sword, but pretty darn good wit' a pick and ain't too shabby with buildin' either.

I love playing games like Magic: the Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and of course, Minecraft! -How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Ten to tweleve hours, if I don’t have too much homework. -How long have you played minecraft?: I’ve played on and off since Beta 1.2_02, so about maybe six months. -What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?: Roleplaying is the taking on of a role of a character to interact with other characters in a particular setting. Those characters might be controlled by their own players, a Dungeon Master, or an AI. I roleplay all the time, having an ongoing Dungeons & Dragons campaign and being an active participant on several forum roleplays. It’s one of my favorite hobbies. -What do you expect this server will be like?: I’m not entirely sure. Roleplaying and MC might be hard to get used to, but it’ll probably be pretty fun. -What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I really haven’t played much multiplayer. As I said in my previous application, I just got back to the game after a long hiatus, but I hope that’s not an issue with my acceptance. -Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? Niv_Mizzet In-Character: -Character Name: Dorvek Thunderbeard -What is your Race?: Dwarf, no subrace. -Lordofthecraft.net/forum forum account: Niv_Mizzet -Biography: Dorvek was born in Kal’Urguan, and learned to mine and slay monsters like most other dwarves. But he was not content with his ability, he wanted more power. So he stole a text on magic from the mage’s guild, and practiced some spells on his own. This was folly, as he blew up a good portion of his clan’s home, and collapsed some of the surrounding tunnels. Many of his relatives were crushed in the explosion, and the survivors suggested it would be better for all concerned if Dorvek was exiled, cast out from his life of mining and sent to “hone his magical talent” with an aging human mage. Dorvek, while taking well to the study of magic, did not take a liking to his teacher. The wizard was extremely intolerant of those of other “lesser” races, only agreeing to take Dorvek as an apprentice because he needed an assistant who didn’t have clout with the local authorities, in case there was a new spell that needed testing out on a living subject. As such, Dorvek was consistently abused both verbally and magically. However, the mage was nothing if not an efficient teacher. For seventy-three years, the mage’s lifetime extended by several morally-questionable rituals, between bouts of new-and-improved fire spells, Dorvek learned more about magic, alchemy, and enchanting than he had ever dreamed possible. But even as his master was teaching him, he planned revenge for the constant insults and often painful and humiliating times he was used as a test subject. One night, after a typical tongue-lashing by the wizard, Dorvek put all of his magial knowledge to use, enchanted and poisoned a blade, and slew the human while he slept. But one thing Dorvek had forgotten was that the mage slept with traps. The second after he plunged the dagger through his master’s back, the tower where he had spent his last seven decades learning exploded, taking thousands of scrolls and books of magical lore with it. Only narrowly surviving the blast, Dorvek picked up the few books and supplies that remained, and began a journey back to Kal’Urguan, the city of his birth. -Character Age: 185 -Character Appearance: Dorvek is gray-skinned, with a well-braided black beard with golden spots, where his clan got their name from. His eyes are gold, and he stands about 4’6”. Sturdily built, he rarely wears armor, opting instead for a blue and gold cloak. -Character Personality: Arrogant and proud, Dorvek is distrusting of most other races. This was born of his mistreatment at the hands of his (human) wizard master, and has extended to most elves and orcs. He has little patience, and any who dare challenge his expertise in the field of magic are swiftly challenged to a fight, even if they are legitimately more powerful than him. -Your ambitions: Dorvek wishes, in the long term, to be able to continue the study of magic in a secluded tower, preferably with good mines nearby. In the short term, he wishes to establish himself as a well-known and powerful mage, and if he has to resort to more unscrupulous messages to accomplish this, it’s just another price to pay. -Can your character read or write?: Yes. -Can your character mine?: He spent much time toiling away beneath Kal’Urguan finding rarer ores, and even more hunting down esoteric ingredients for his master’s potions. Yes, he can. -Are you a capable builder?: Pretty good, but only with types of stone and metal. -Can you wield a sword?: Not as well as a pick, though Dorvek has had occasion to use one before. -Enjoy Farming?: No. -Does your character have any special skills?: He has ability at alchemy and enchanting, assuming the server’s on 1.0.0. The survivors decided it would be better if Dorvek was away from them for a while, so, at a young age, he was apprenticed to an aging human master alchemist. He took to the craft well, if not to his teacher. It was here that the dwarf's disrespect for humans was born, for the alchemist was intolerant of any mistake and often used Dorvek as a test subject for his more experimental potions. This apprenticeship lasted for about fifty-three years, the alchemist extending his lifespan through several morally-questionable rituals and would have continued if not for a particular extremely scathing tongue-and-Potion of Weakness-lashing administered to Dorvek one day. That same night, he put all of his brewing and enchanting experience to use and slew the master in his sleep. Unfortunately for the dwarf, the alchemist had trapped the bed and the death of the alchemist set off an explosion that destroyed all in the tower but a few old books of potion recipes and a small handbook on enchanting. Taking those, Dorvek set off to return to Kal'Urguan, the city of his birth. -Character Age: 142 -Character Appearance: Dark bearded with flecks of yellow, like all other Thunderbeards before him, Dorvek is tall (by dwarf standards) and stocky, built like not just a brick, but an iron ingot. -Character Personality: Very aggressive, Dorvek is short-tempered with members of his own race, and runs the gamut from disliking to being openly hostile toward members of the other three. He takes pride in merely one thing: his skill with alchemy and enchanting. If any choose to challenge him or dare to suggest they are better than him in the field he considers himself the best at, he will take very much offense. -Your ambitions: To find a proper brewing stand and enchanter's table, and set up a stronghold to perform alchemical experiments in peace. -Can your character read or write?: Yes to both. The study of potions and magical dweomers requires the ability to both read old scrolls and scribe your own, so that knowledge may be shared. -Can your character mine?: Yes, as he's had to mine for precious metals and besides- what dwarf can't? -Are you a capable builder? Fairly so, for I've worked on a few projects. For instance, there was the time me master want'd a new room f'r brewing, there was the accident with his observatory... -Can you wield a sword?: Yes, but not well.
