Powergaming is when you attack someone without giving them a chance to block, taking control of their character when they might have had a chance to counter. Metagaming is using information that you obtained OOC, in game. What do you expect this server will be like?: A great community of people who like to roleplay. It is probably filled with amazing buildings and complex social hierarchies. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Qubetubers, I still play on it. I am an elf of 7’ 8”, raven hair, 138 lbs, and 246 yrs. I am very determined, cunning, agile, and strong. This is my story… As a child, my parents taught me many things, smithery, archery, magic, swordplay, climbing, and many other skills. My parents meant everything to me, and when they were still there I was happy, o so very happy. Times were amazing, I went to school, made friends, and had a girlfriend. But one day, when I was still quite young, maybe only 56 or so, they disappeared. My girlfriend and I broke up and my friends left me. I became a loner, soon I spent all of my time in trees, I lived in them, apart from society and made a vow. I vowed that one day I would find them, and so I began training. I forged a sword, I used every skill that my parent had taught me to do it, it was lighter, sharper, and stronger than any sword made by a different race. The elves have closely guarded secrets when it comes to making swords, and I used many of these to make it. When I was finished it took on a red hue. After this was done, I practiced my skills. I practiced and practiced until I reached mastery. I then set off to search. Your characters ambitions: Searching for my parents is my primary goal, but if I find someone that needs help along the way, I will help them. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? I shoot the first bandit with an arrow to the head, and then jump out of the tree I was hiding in, onto the back of the second bandit, and try to slit his throat with my knife. He knocks it out of my hands and into the river. As he reaches for his sword I notch an arrow and fire. He nimbly dodges it but doesn’t see that I was carrying rope. After I tied him up I asked him questions of why he was attacking and if he knew about my parents. He only told lies so I walked to the river, got my knife and slit his throat. I tell the other elf to be more careful in these dangerous parts and ask him if I could spend the night in a spare room. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? “I would like to buy some bread; also, would you have any information on my parents: Roan and Maraynia Flodben?” “Of course I can supply you with bread, weary traveler, would you like a room to stay in as well? As for your parents, I have heard of those names before, something that had to do with the orcs. Perhaps you should try the desert.” “Thank you. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I love the outdoors, as i have a deep passion for climbing. I have come close to death many times and because of such, am afraid of almost nothing. I have been playing minecraft since alpha. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: 4-5 hours a week What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: I have played on a few RPG servers and played in a forum full of rpg threads. Roleplaying is when you act like a character without stepping out of character, very much like method acting, however most RPG's are based during midevil times In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. What do you expect this server will be like?: I think that this server will contain many amazing buildings and planty of great people. Which vote number were you? yes, 1996 What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: RedbrickMongo In-Character: Character Name: Roarekston Smaltac (pronounced ROAR-ec-stun SMAAL-tac) What is your Race?: Elf Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): I was born with raven colored hair, that was quite uncommon for an elf such as myself. Like most other elves, I live forever and have pointy ears. Currently, I am 135 yrs old, slightly under two meters tall, and weigh in at 108 pounds. As a child my parents disappeared mysteriously, I was then raised by the blacksmith of our forest town Troto. When I turned 16, I forged my sword. This was no normal sword however, I made it in the style of my people, using closely guarded secrets. Some of these made it very sharp, sturdy, and light. When it was finished it took on a reddish hue, this had to due with the types of magic that were used in the making of it. When I turned 37, I left the town, carrying with me only my bow and quiver, sword, knife, my skills with magic (that i use only rarely) and some food. I now travel the world searching for my parent in the hope that they are still alive. Some of my skills are forgery, magic, climbing, and fighting. I prefer to stay in the shadows of the pines, until i discern the area safe. I love to help other people, especially other travelers. I stay in inns and taverns during my travel, but i do have a house secluded in the woods for storage of my more valued possessions. Your characters ambitions: My life's goal is to find my parents and know why they disappeared. If they are dead then I will go to the lengths of finding their killer and slowly, and painfully, avenge their deaths. After I complete my initial task, I will look to settle down in a village, build a proper house, find love, and live a normal life (and being elven that could mean living forever if i don't fall to poison or sickness) Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? I quickly decide to help my kinsman. From the tree I'm in, I shoot the first bandit with my bow. I then quickly jump onto the other bandit's back, and after a short struggle, slit his throat with my knife. With the bandits disposed of I ask the other elf why he was attacked and tell him to be more careful the next time this happens, as i won't be there to help him. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? "I would like to buy some food, iron and fletchings for arrows. Also, would you happen to have any information on my parents: Hermaltion and Maraysia Smaltac?" But helping isn't my primary goal, I am searching, and I have been for the last 98 years. I hope that i will one day find my parents.
