  1. This is my second application to the server. I would like to thank TheAmpca for pointing out specifically what was wrong with it. Out of character. Minecraft Account Name: mr_birdie Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: No. How old are you?: 19. Time-Zone/Country of Residence: GMT +1 Norway. Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I have always had grades around 5, or B's depending on which education system you use. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I view myself as a composed and polite person. I always try to empathize with the people I meet, and I judge, and make my decisions out of seeing things from all sides of the matter. I value logic. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: That depends, but definitively a few hours a week, or every other day. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: Roleplaying is to immerse myself as a character in a setting or story. It also means to be part of using the setting to create the story. It is also a form of making a community and socializing. As for experiences I have been roleplaying for about six months, a few hours a week, on the "Kingdom of Aeonis" serious roleplay minecraft server. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. These are form of using exploits, and go to extreme measures to gain advantages within a game. When it comes to roleplaying, metagaming would be using information not available to your ingame character to your advantage. For example using skype outside of the game to exchange information during a battle, or war. Or using mods that let's you see the location of ore underground, when mining. Powergaming would be playing unnaturally, like using "exploits" or bugs to gain an advantage within the game. An example using this server could be to acquire lots of burnable materials, and burn them, just to grind blacksmithing exp. It is not a bug, but it would be breaking the roleplaying, and exploiting the system. These are both ways of playing that break the experience of roleplaying. What do you expect this server will be like?: I have high expectations after seeing the yogscast advertising for you, and after checking out your website. I am mostly hoping for an active community. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: "The Kingdom of Aeonis". I was/am some sort of a faction moderator for the dwarves there, but after a hard time holding the community together because of griefers, and people in different time zones I wish to check this server out. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes. How did you hear about us?: Number of different sources. Became more aware after your trailer on youtube. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? I have not. I will vote if you live up to my expectations. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: mr_birdie. In-Character: Character Name: Brokkir Agrilgrund. What is your Race?: Dwarf. Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Brokkir originated from the young hold of "Naggrund". He grew up during the construction of the hold, and has been working as an architect, artisan, and smith his entire life, gaining great knowledge in craftsmanship, and infrastructure. The hold was established in a specific mountain because of founds of great riches. The construction of the hold and excavation of the mountain was financed by 3 great dwarven noble houses, each profiting greatly in power and wealth. Eventually the hold became so wealthy because of the number of engineers, craftsmen and miners that the hold was simply named Naggrund "an area of great devastation or industry", and the 3 dwarven houses wanted to name a king for their hold. Because of the great wealth and power that the hold had gained, the situation became a great political crisis. Taking advantage of this situation, a clan of orcs made a plan to seize the wealth of Naggrund for their own. By assassinating members of the dwarven noble houses the dwarven council started to doubt each other, and eventually grew mad with greed, and power for the position of king. When the situation worsened for the dwarves, the orcs struck and claimed the hold for themselves. Brokkir Agrilgrund is one of the survivors of this disaster. And together with Bomrek Delerdur he is now traveling to the great dwarven community of Aegis. Being convinced that they could do a great service for the city of Kal’Urguan, they have now been traveling for years. Perhaps to greatly help the existing dwarven holds, or even start their own.. Brokkir is a middle aged dwarf at the age of 254. He values dwarves that think with reason, not their fists, and good craftsmanship. He has a composed personality (for a dwarf), but has a tendency to judge those with power, or political responsibility, after seeing what power made the dwarven council of Naggrund do to each other. He has a great lush orange beard, and he is going bald. He prefers good high quality material clothes, and wears a fine green jacket, easily taken off for smihting work. He always carries his trusty smithing hammer with him, in his belt. Your characters ambitions: Brokkir always sets great goals for his work. Every stone, brick, and plank has a meaning for it's location in his architecture, and every blow of the hammer hold meaning in his smithing. But as for personal ambitions Brokkir dreams of mastering the secrets of Rune smihting. If else, he always aspires to improve what he can. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Brokkir would like to aid the elf fending off the bandits, but if he is carrying things of value he might be overcome with his greed, and decide to pass by unnoticed. No doubt having regret for his action, but thinking it was for the best. The only exception is if he is challenged in some way. It would go against his honor to not accept. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? Greetings! Well ye see ae am looking fer a good business partner. Ae deal in craftsmanship, and ae 'ave some self crafted works 'ere. If yer interested get out some of yer own works, or metal, and we could discuss something..? A screenshot of your skin: Made it myself! In Game Screenshot Skin File Other Information: I am joining simultaneously as my friend "torsbein". We are hoping to play together, and my character is tightly knit together with his character in their lore. Hope to see you all ingame soon! Looking forward to rp-ing.
