It is also a form of making a community and socializing In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. These are form of using exploits, and go to extreme measures to gain advantages within a game. When it comes to roleplaying, metagaming would be using information not available to your ingame character to your advantage. For example using skype outside of the game to exchange information during a battle, or war. Or using mods that let's you see the location of ore underground, when mining. Powergaming would be playing unnaturally, like using "exploits" or bugs to gain an advantage within the game. An example using this server could be to acquire lots of burnable materials, and burn them, just to grind blacksmithing exp. It is not a bug, but it would be breaking the roleplaying, and exploiting the system. These are both ways of playing that break the experience of roleplaying. Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): ObGar'ad was born to a poor family. Like his cousin, DelGar'ad, he had no money for education. They used to lived in the same house, broken down, and crumbling. But ObGar'ad's parents had a fight with DelGar'ad's parents. ObGar'ad was in his room, trying to sleep. There was shouting from below, and ObGar'ad crept to the stairs, peeking down. He saw his father fighting with his uncle. There was broken glass on the floor, and ObGar'ad's dad had blood pouring down his side. ObGar'ad started to cry, and his father looked at him, startled. He told ObGar'ad to go back to bed, and ObGar'ad shakily walked back to his bed. When ObGar'ad woke up, there was a pack, and most of his possessions were inside, and his favorite toy sword. His father walked in, wool wrapped around his side. He told ObGar'ad they were leaving, and when ObGar'ad looked out the window, his mother was holding a baby, and suddenly, ObGar'ad knew what the fight was about. He knew the soil was too dry to farm, and there was a little supply of food. He guessed that DelGar'ad's parents were mad that they had a baby secretly, and that they wouldn't have enough food to feed the babbling mouth of the child. They wanted to send the baby away, and ObGar'ad's parents wouldn't allow the baby to just be abandoned, and knew that they had to move out. ObGar'ad reluctantly left, and slung his pack over his shoulder. He followed his parents, and they led him to a small clearing in the tall reeds. They set the baby down, and cried for the baby's health. The land was fertile, but no one knew how to farm. They tried, but the crops simply refused to grow. That brought ObGar'ad to become a skilled swordsman. With his toy sword, he charged cows, bringing the raw meat and leather home. He wrapped the leather around the baby, a girl, and did his best to gather food. They did not have any fire to cook the meat, though. One night, monsters were walking by, and his family all huddled together, hoping not to be seen. One monster stumbled in, and the family screamed. This alerted other monsters, and they started attacking. ObGar'ad fended off the creatures. One zombie came close, and ObGar'ad struck at its legs with his sword. The monster tripped, and landed on the baby, and sunk its teeth into her. ObGar'ad yelled in rage, and struck his sword into the monster's back, killing it. It seemed to be the last monster. ObGar'ad's sister was infected. She started turning a sickly green, and was always clawing at the bite on her arm. She was almost always crying, keeping the others awake. They all knew the baby was not going to make it, and knew that she was in terrible pain. They had to end to baby's life, and ObGar'ad, sword shaking uncontrollably, brought the sword into the baby, swiftly ending her life. ObGar'ad started crying, not seeming to ever stop. Finally, he decided he must move on. Grief-stricken, he told his parents he was leaving. His parents roared, and were grabbing him, not letting him go, their only child... ObGar'ad pushed them off, and ran away, feeling stupid, running into the harsh lands of Aegis, armed only with a toy sword... Your characters ambitions: My character wishes to rid the world of all monsters, and he hopes to become smarter, as he knows not much of the world. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? ObGar'ad wanders aimlessly around the Wilderness of Aegis. After an endless amount of walking, he finds a small cottage, and and elf fighting with two bandits. "Oi!" shouts ObGar'ad, "Leave dat man alone!" ObGar'ad draws his toy sword. The bandits, seeing the sword start snickering. The elf, spotting the distraction, picks up a rock from the floor, and slams it into one of the bandit's head, knocking the bandit out. ObGar'ad charges at the other bandit, slamming the sword against the bandit's arm. The sword hit a surprising amount of muscle, and though it left a big bruise, the sword snapped. ObGar'ad raged, and jumped at the man, punching the man in the face repeatedly. The bandit shoved ObGar'ad off, and clutching his bleeding nose, ran off. The elf thanked ObGar'ad, giving him food, and a few minas. ObGar'ad gratefully accepted the gifts, but quickly left. The elf pointed him in the direction of the Cloud Temple, telling him it is a good place to start out his journey. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? "I need some ale, me be thirsty. Ye got any?" asks ObGar'ad. "Aye, I got some ale. That'll be 10 minas, sir." replies the shop owner. ObGar'ad thanks the man, but explains that the price is too high for him, and leaves, hoping to find a lake to drink water. A screenshot of your skin: http://tinypic.com/r/214s9is/5 Other Information: I think this server will be amazing, and I really hope to get on. I am sorry for my lack of grammar in my minecraft forums, I just never had the effort or shall I say inspiration of using good grammar. So I looked at some paragraphs in the minecraft forums and it was eye opening and really inspiring that I should really take a look out for bad grammar and punctuation. I also realized that i should use good grammar for a server this big. I mean it hit #7 on minestatus
