Give a definition of what it means to you.:My definition of roleplaying is when you delve within another character and assume his/her role, for either enjoyment or necessity. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming is when you play a game in such a way that would be impossible without some sort of outside help such as looking up the bio of a character before I normally would've known and then using that information to alter my play style or using OOC information to alter IC playstyle. Powergaming is basically like when you OOC grind for hours like it wouldnt make any sense to go around and kill every sheep you see with a sword, thats just weird IC. What do you expect this server will be like?:I expect this server to be a server full of people that want to immerse themselves into minecraft at a deeper level, Such as myself. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on a few servers, mostly just local such as friends and what not, but I left them because of the horrid admins, management, and the playerbase. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?:Raven In-Character: Character Name: Raven Roth What is your Race?: Elven Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): There I was, 3 elven years old, my father killed by a group of cloaked warriors, who were sent to kill them because they had discovered information that could bring the kings tyranny to an end in our home lands. I was hiding at the time of the struggle, in the keep of our home underneath a cupboard that had a small knothole within it, so I could see it all, every attempt to beg for there lives, and the final blow that took out my father, I had a hard time finding my mother after the attack but I found her being dragged just outside the city walls, I made chase, but it was no use they were too far away, it took me a while to get over the attack so from that point on I devoted my life to finding out more information on the readings, and scriptures my parents had discovered. My occupation of town bookkeeper and writer made it much easier to get research done. Then one day I'd say about 2 elven years later, 8 to you humans, I was arriving back home after spending my day in the Grand Library, only to see fire and destruction as far as the eye could see... My home had been attacked and as I was walking through the wreckage I see two things a pauldron that has the emblem of the kings knighthood, and a pendant with my families crest upon it, so I concluded that it was the same warriors that attacked and killed my father, and took my mother long ago. I finished looking through the wreckage, grabbed my satchel, filled it with the necessity's and a note left to me by my father a few days before his death, and started off in search of another society to call home. After wandering for months, foraging off of the lands to survive, I stumble across a large town which by the looks of it has been here for quite some time. I go inside and see a few signs, this is apparently the town they call "Laurelin". I generally like to keep to myself, but in times like these I need to find somewhere to rest. I come across a youngly looking elven lady and ask if there was somewhere that I could rest for the night, and she says "Sure! Come with me miss." so I follow her into her home, she says I can stay as long as I need. So I tell her my story and she seems awe-struck and now that I think of it, who wouldn't be? She continues to tell me that a young elf such as myself shouldn't have to go through such hardships, and she repeats how I may stay for as long as I need. So for the time being I guess I'll call this place... Home. Your characters ambitions:To discover what my parents had been researching, what made the old king send that group of warriors long ago, and to conquer my everlasting thirst for knowledge. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?Distract one of the bandits by shooting a glass window from afar shattering it to pieces, but the other one notices me and comes charging at me with his sword raised I thought "I'm finished" and right before he finishes me... The elf comes to my rescue and takes out the bandit and helps me up and with a swift pull of my bow, I make quick work of the distracted bandit. Me and the other elf exchange pleasantry's and he offers me some simple goods, such as bread and pork. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?Sir, where is the closest archery shop to here? Although my character is actually terrified of the undead that inhabit this land. Away from the problems of the days before, where I made the mistake of letting someone know what drives me, the ongoing journey to discover my past and what these dreams, or visions of my father and the fire... No, the destruction mean.I am eighteen years old now and am no closer to finding out the truth. The venture has landed me in a strange new land where there appear to be others who unlike myself seem to live a whole life with friends and family that drives them to get by, something I will never know because of the fire that happened when I was just a young elf, the flames took my mother, and everything I could've known of my past, and my father, I never knew, all I really know of my father is that he was a dark and evil tyrant who ruled the lands long ago. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Boxxy In-Character: Character Name: Raven Roth What is your Race?: half-Azarathian, half-Demon Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): I was born to a family like no other, although to the blind eye it would appear differently. My mother was an ambassador of sorts, or to some, a peace keeper. My father was a mean and cruel demon which my mother married unwillingly. From the time I was a young girl my life has always been filled with terrors and dissapointment, I never really knew my mother and my father was this cruel and unforgiving demon. When I was old enough to realize what had gone on in my past I started to have these weird dreams of my father and destruction of a mass proportion and have dedicated my life to finding out what these dreams, or visions are about.
