Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a University student in my final year. I am a keen pc gamer, with a lot of minecraft experience. My passions in life are music, gaming and role-playing. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Most probably about 10 hours, scattered around the place. I can't promise to be the most active player, and there will probably be periods when University work calls to me and I disappear for a week or two. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: I know a fair amount of role-playing, having spent a great deal of time on role-playing minecraft servers beforehand, and I occasionally take part in LARPs. Role-playing is the all-encompassing taking-on of a new persona for the purpose of having fun with other people in a situation/world that is different to that of the norm. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Meta-gaming: using knowledge that you know in real life for your character's benefit, despite there being no way for your character to know such things. Power-gaming: role-playing that your character has powers or strengths or abilities that he does not possess for his/her own benefit. What do you expect this server will be like?: I have no idea really, but I hope it will be an immersing and evolving roleplaying world in which I can find intriguing plot-lines and a good way to spend my free time. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on other role-playing servers, which I left due to stagnation of the server, and I have played on free-build servers which I left due to no plotlines (as is evident by the simple name of freebuild). Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: yes, I do. How did you hear about us?: Google. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? I haven't, and will reserve my voting capability until I have had a chance to play on the server. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Sable In-Character: Character Name: Erios What is your Race?: High Elf Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Age: 500 Appearance: Pale skin for a high elf. long, silver hair. Ice blue eyes. Alignment: Lawful Evil (I know it doesn't say to put an alignment, but I thought I'd stick it in anyway) Personality: Calculating and cold. Arrogant. He consider's himself superior to most people, and has no qualms about using anyone for his own needs. Murder, extortion and coercion are seen as acceptable methods of achieving things in Erios' eyes. His disdain for people leads him to prefer to keep contact with people to as little as possible, preferring a trusted group of associates to dealing with the general populace. Brief History: Erios has spent much of his life wandering throughout the fringes of the world, away from civilisation. During this time he has learned how to take care of himself, with adequate knowledge of swordsmanship. Much of the world has changed since he was last in a city, which explains his lack of knowledge of current affairs. Since turning 500, Erios has decided to return to the cities and civilisation that he shunned (more on why later). (I have his entire backstory written out in notes, but I think that that would be best posted as a proper 'history of' post) Your characters ambitions: Having witnessed the futile conflicts of all the races in Aegis, Erios aspires to learn the powerful magicks and use these skills to control and wrest authority and power for himself. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? He would try to catch the bandits unawares, dispatching them as quickly as possible. Unless adequately remunerated for his efforts, Erios would put the Elf down as well, taking anything of value. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? I require diamonds for a new weapon...and make no mention of my custom here.
