  1. Out-Of-Character: Minecraft Account Name: niv330 Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: Alas, I was away during MineCon and was thus unable to attend How old are you?: 19 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: GMT/England Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I would think so, yes. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm lively and often active on the forums I'm a part of, always keen to spend time with the community I am a part of. I've had some previous roleplay experience and am always looking for new ways to enhance my roleplaying abilities. I love to have fun but to buckle down and play seriously when I need to. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Between 2-4 hours per weekday, perhaps more on the weekends so between 16 and 32 hours per week on average. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: I have roleplayed a number of times in the past as multiple different characters. To me it means stepping into the shoes of a character and acting and think as he/she would do so, whilst avoiding becoming a Mary-Sue/Gary Stu. It is important not to think that you are above the rest of the community and to make sure that you, and everyone else on the server (or game in other cases) have a great time. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming is using out of character (OOC) information in character (IC), and example on Lord of the Craft would be using the names above players heads to determine who they are despite them being in full armour or a hood that covers their face. Powergaming is enhancing your character to an unreal extent, and defying good RP in doing so. For instance, if someone, let's say a guard, cuffs you, you cannot just say "Amam breaks out of the cuffs with superhuman strength" as it would be completely unfair and ruins the RP for other people. What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect it will be full of others a willing to RP as myself, and friendly moderators and player to help you on your way. And of course, it will be rich in amazing RP. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I played on my own server with about 5-10 friends and still do, though not as often due to it becoming rather repetitive, though still fun. A server such as LotC has new people joining all the time and will never get boring. I was on Battlecraft as well but left because I was growing bored of constant fighting and wanted a different type of character. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I sure have. How did you hear about us?: I have a friend who played in the server before IRL events stopped him playing, an he recommended it as a great server for those who love to RP. Your YouTube trailer also helped me decide to play here Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? Well I voted, though I am unsure as of how to view your vote number. If an app team member lets me know I will post the number when I vote tomorrow. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Amam_The_Healer In-Character: Character Name: Amam Rashad What is your Race?: Elf Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Amam is an average height, blond Elf, who always wears his healing garbs. He has deep brown eyes and wears a belt. His hair is neither very long not very short, and he is 79 years old Amam was brought up in a small village South of what is known as the Cloud Temple. The town was homely and welcomed all Elves like Amam. His family consisted of his Mother, his Father, and his sister. The culture in his village was at the age of 50, they would choose a path to follow. His sister chose the path of war but Amam, a more passive Elf, chose the path of healing. His village was a happy place for many years and there was rarely any trouble there, apart from the occasional attack on the village. However these attacks were small and the Elven warriors always defeated them with ease. Over time, the attacks became more frequent and one one occasion his father was slain. The attack came a night, and the village wasn't ready. His father was one of the two to die and Amam grieved for many days and many nights over his loss, his mother and sister did likewise. The attacks came Amam a cause, and he grew to become the village's best healer, and his sister their best fighter. Elves and even Humans would come from other towns, villages and cities to be blessed my Amam's healing abilities. Most of the time it was just a simple concoction but one day, an old man came to the village. He carried a staff with him and the Elves knew immediately that he was a powerful creature. He offered to teach Amam the ways of healing magic, and Amam accepted; he never wanted to be helpless, unable to heal someone who mattered to him, like he was when his father died. His training went on for a few years, and the Human eventually passed away peacefully, but the peace in the village was not to last... Attacks came almost every week for the Elves and eventually the warriors began to fall. The leader of their village was wounded, and Amam barely managed to keep him alive, but because he saved the leader's life, he was honoured amongst the people. But everyone in the village knew it was coming... the time when they would not be able to hold off a large attack, and it came. Sooner than expected. The attack came out of nowhere. Elves rushed for their weapons but many were too late. The village was overrun and about half its population was killed whilst they were trying to defend. Amam and his sister watched as their mother was killed before them, and his sister flew into a rage. The pain drove his sister insane and she slew friend and foe alike in her anger. Amam tried to calm her down but she refused and almost killed him. He grew angry for the first time in his life and used a potion his mentor had show him how to make. His sister bore the brunt of this powerful potion and was knocked unconscious almost instantly. After the attack, Amam went to his sister and tried to wake her up. She would not, and began to scream in her sleep, the horrific noise echoing throughout the lands. She died in her sleep, and Amam realised he had killed his last relative. He was reduced to tears and became a pacifist, vowing never to harm any living thing ever again. The Elves had never suffered an attack like this before and the half that remained knew they had to leave, else they would soon die. The village was evacuated and Amam left in search of new lands. His took nothing but his book of spells, potions, cures and enchantments, as well as a little food when he left, except the money which he had saved up all his life, previously having no use for it. He travelled for many weeks until he finally reached a temple. In the temple he was told by the Monks to head to the City of Laurelin, where the High Princess would take care of him, as she did all the other Elves under her rule. He was glad to have found some other Elves and decided he would become a healer and enchanter there. But he was warned that the day he had come to Aegis might not be a good one, for darkness seemed to loom over all who resided there. Your characters ambitions: He wishes to become known as a healer, and become good friends with many in Aegis, perhaps even marry and have a family. As a pacifist, he will obviously make sure he never hurts or kills anyone if he can help it, and will instead heal those who need to be healed. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Amam quickly pulls out his book of spells, he scans through it until he sees a spell that might aid him. He chants the words of the spell and a ray of light shines, blinding the men and stopping them from attacking for the time being. He runs out to the scene and faces the bandits. "Please my friends, do not hurt a fellow Elf. He has surely done no wrong? Let me pay you any debts he owes and give you what you need to leave, no further blood should be spilled this day." The bandits look at one another and then address Amam. "This Elf has done nothing to us," he smirks "but we need to feed ourselves. Pay us 200 minas ((that is the currency right?)) and you may go on your way." Amam quickly reaches into his bag and pulls out a pouch. He takes 200 minas out of it and hands it to the bandits, making sure neither draw their arms. "There, now please, leave us be." he says to the two of them. The second bandit laughs and draws his sword. "I think I'll kill the two of you anyway!" he yells, and prepares to strike at Amam. Amam quickly pulls a potion out of his garb that he had just in case of such an event and throws it at the feet of the bandit, smashing the glass bottle as it hits the floor. The two bandits stumble back, weakened and unable to attack but at the same time unharmed. He beckons to the other Elf to follow him and runs off back into the forest, not glancing back until he was a far distance away. He then turns to his fellow Elf and says, "Come with me my friend, I shall get you something to eat and to drink, you seem to have had quite and ordeal." The Elf looks at him and nods, but then reveals a wound on his arm, made by the blade of one of the bandits. Amam looks at it and smiles warmly. He places and hand over the wound and looks in the eyes of the wounded Elf, willing him to place trust in the healer. He closes his eyes and his hand shines brightly, the wound slowly healing and the skin closing off the mark, soon leaving no mark at all. Amam takes his hand away and leads to now healed Elf back to his house. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? "Ah! You are just the person I wanted to see! Do you happen to have any sticks here? I will need them along with this list of alchemical ingredients." Amam hands over a sheet of paper with about ten different items on it and looks back to the shop owner, who is look at the list, bemused. "I... I shall have to check in the back of the store for some of these items, but I should be able to help you. What do you need them for anyway?" he asks. "Well," replies Amam, "I am a healer, an enchanter, and an alchemist. These items are all ingredients for my potions, I require them in order to make potions for my healing." The look on the face of the shop owner saddens slightly, and he looks to Amam with a slightly pleading look in his eyes. "You are a healer? Please, come and help my daughter... she is sick and I am not a rich man. Many healer charge too much and I cannot afford to pay them! Please! I will pay you back as soon as I have made the money! I do not want to lose my daughter, she is all I have left!" Amam looks at the shop owner and feels a sharp pain deep down. He remembers losing everything all to well, and he knew that he would do anything to get his sister back. "My friend, I will help you daughter, there is no need to pay me. No one deserves to lose everything. Let us visit her..." The shop owner looks at Amam with delight and smiles. He leads Amam out of the shop and to his house, where he lets him in to find and help his daughter. "I wonder what is wrong with his daughter. It seems my healing abilities will be required now more than ever. I only hope I can be of service to the people who need me..." Amam thinks to himself. He then heads upstairs to find the daughter. A screenshot of your skin: This Link Other Information: [[ I know it might be considered powergaming to play a character that can heal and cast spells and the like, so I will be very strict about my RP when healing and casting spells. The healing spells with drain Amam's energy depending on the wound that needs to be healed. The pain inflicted upon Amam will be equal to half the severity of the wound being healed. He cannot bring people back from the dead without assistance from someone trained in the art, and the spells he can perform are as follows, all of them acted out RPly of course: - Open the clouds to reveal a light that blinds enemies temporarily, similarly to a modern day flashbang but without the bang - Heal, with the boundaries mentioned above - Repair a damaged object, this too will have limitations such as the fact that certain enchanted weapons or those forged by a Master Dwarven Smith etc. etc. will be impossible to repair by a mere spell. - Grow tree/crop/grass. This can be RP'ed with bonemeal if necessary - Return to the place you most desire. This is effectively using a Soulstone, but with different lore for my character - Lock doors/chests etc. with magic ( I'm under the impression that LWC is used on this server and I will almost definitely donate anyway. This is just one way to RP one of the perks) - I guess as I learn more about this server, this list might well increase so I won't add too many Also important to note is that Amam is an able gatherer of resources (though he can't farm) but is unable to build well at all. This pacifism does not apply to creatures of darkness, so I will be able to attack mobs I guess. That is all, I understand this is long so thanks in advance for taking the time to read it! Amam ]]
