Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm currently studying political science and international affairs in Washington, DC. I like politics, hiking and all things technology related. I've been playing minecraft for about a year now I'm hoping to get on a real server, having played on several smaller servers friends of mine have hosted. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Probably 20 hours a week. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: Role playing is when you take on an identity in a game other than your own but open to your creativity as to how to shape that character's personality and other traits. Your character is completely of your own making, however your character cannot possess knowledge that is not learned in game. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming is pretty much using information you obtain out of character while in character. An example of this is knowing a player's name prior to learning this in character. Powergaming is using abilities that while you may be able to do in game, are inappropriate for your character in RP. An example of this could be if your character is elderly and you have them sprinting around the map or performing a task without rest. What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect that this server will be a true RP server and that the rules will actually be enforced. I hope to get a greater grasp of the lore through the actual role play. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Los Santos RP, I never really got into it though, however I am much more involved with minecraft. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: scout739 In-Character: Character Name: John Fredericksson What is your Race?: Human- Northerner Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): John, born Johannes Fredericksson, was raised in a small cottage to the South of Winterfell with his parents Frederick and Helen. His upbringing was rather simple, growing up in a lumberjack household until the seige of Winterfell forced his father to its defense. The fall of the north also brought about the death of his father and forced his family out of their home as refugees. He has very little experience with combat and is better using a sword to cut grass and slaughter animals than to fight. Surprisingly for his rural background John is literate and spends time not spent outdoors reading for a better understanding of the world around him. Since the fall of the North sent his family into turmoil, he has as been wandering the forests of Oren surviving on what the forests provide and seeking refuge from conflict in their vastness. -Age: 26 -Appearance: Fair-skinned northerner. He generally dresses in heavy clothes, having grown up in the north. His tool of choice is a good quality axe as he is most comfortable in the forest. -Personality: John is generally quite quiet and enjoys having time alone to himself. He prefers to avoid conflict whenever possible, and if avoidance is unlikely he looks for the most peaceful solution. Your characters ambitions: He would like to establish himself as a lumberjack and possible carpenter in some small village or town to finally stop his travels and settle down. While he is a fine leader, he does not seek power, but accepts whatever responsibilities are given to him. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? While John truly wishes he could help the struggling elf, he has not trained with swords nor bows and would be unable to help the elf without ensuring his own demise. Thus he avoids the conflict backing away as quietly as he can and proceeds to a nearby village to warn travelers of the presence of the bandits and the location to avoid. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? "Good day fine sir, would you happen to have a good quality iron axe in your wares?" If the gentleman indeed has the item I would then proceed to haggle with him over the price. After settling on an agreeable price I proceed with the trade, thank him for the sale and be on my way.
