  1. Kaar lay down on the floor to contemplate on a vision he had recently had. "Strange, I'd never realised the Hammerite island must look all that gorgeous from above like that.." [This is small IC&OOC thank you to gabriel101x1 for the video for the Hammerites on behalf of the group and the leadership.]
  2. The old shaman winks at his friend Lock'Eed and disappears again into the yonder realms of the spirits as if descending down stairs into the ground.
  3. Out-Of-Character: Minecraft Account Name: makitalo2 Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: No, unfortunately I live quite far away and can't afford it with the current economical situation. I know, it sucks. How old are you?: 25 years old, come April I'll be 26. Time Zone/Country of Residence: Finland, my time zone being CMT+02:00. Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I'd like to think so, as it's more of a native tongue for me than my official one. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I guess I'm just the average student. Studying ceramics and glass art, I tend to try and approach things through a more analytical and thoughtful manner. And on something utterly different, I've always loved roleplaying and have run and played quite a many campaigns of DnD in my life. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Well, depending on the business of the new schedule at the university and my girlfriend, I have no clue. But, I'll take my chances and say that it averages on some hours daily. Most likely we're looking at around 2-6 hours daily, as I tend to ease up and relax by playing games a lot of the time. What do you know about role-playing? Give a definition of what it means to you.: As mentioned, I've played DnD quite a lot, so I'd really not even know where to start at this point. Simply put, role-playing is for me the act of creating a character and with care and time crafting the characters own biography, personality, morality, ambitions in life, and the like. After this creation has been done, I try not to merely control the character, but to actually act through him/her and see the world as he/she would see it and think and act accordingly. In your own Words, describe what metagaming and powergaming are. Metagaming is in essence taking out of character information and applying it to in character situations, which for obvious reasons is nor should be allowed. An example of this would be, say, know your friends in character schemes and to act in character yourself as if you had learned these when your character had not. Powergaming is quite entwined with metagaming as it often includes metagaming behaviourisms. Powergaming entails the idea that one attempts to progress towards a speficic goal, e.g. leveling, without regard for anything else but the goal itself. What do you expect this server will be like?: I have no idea yet, but heaving heard I assume it will be a lot of great role-playing moments with some memorable situations of both sincere and humorous nature. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Well, I've been working as an administrator on another role-playing server and haven't quit it, but LotC has a lot of my good friends on it and I wish to be able to actually play the game as opposed to run it. I hope this will prove to be a chance for me to enjoy the game again as much as I used to. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I'd say yes. I always have a bit of doubt, but I'm quite confident I've read all of the rules, and hope that I understand the general spirit of it so as to not even run into situation where I'd be nearing the grey line of misunderstaning specific rules. How did you hear about us?: Through friends and some sites which I can't recall. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? I think I have, but I'm not quite sure. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: makitalo2 In-Character: Character Name: Kra'Lek What is your Race?: Orc Biography: Kra'Lek is 32 years of age, according to human standards at least. Coming from a shamanic lineage and being of not a higher rank in the orcish society (due in part to his nomadic tribe) have kept him well in shape and overall in good health. He is of nomadic orcish origins, and the origins of his tribe and people are unknown as the nomadic lifestyle and the tribal fealty do not render such things as public knowledge to others. He bears the mark of magic, which he has set down to find again who he is and what is his purpose in life. The nomadic traditions and lifestyle suited him well, possibly even to an excessive amount. Eventually this realisation lead him to wander off on his own to see places far away, without the actual intent of reaching a specific place but a state of mind and experiencing the journey. Kra'Lek is partly troubled by his past and the sometimes hostile intent to-and-fro his kind. He sees this motion as sometimes necessary, but often as a mere futile struggle based on xenophobia and power struggles. He is not entirely without blame himself either, nor is he entirely free of this suspiciousness but hopes to find a path between it all but will not back down from his ambitions and his path. Your characters ambitions: Merely to travel around, seek solace in peace and solitude. To find his own path and to understand who he is, why he is, what does he seek in life, and where will he eventually end up. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Slightly suspicious of others, and having witnessed the barbaric behaviour towards his kin, Kra'Lek would have to hesitate for a moment- but impulse would drive him to aid the elf, hoping it would be the strange elven wanderer of a brash nature he once encountered when still traveling with his tribe. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? Depends on the situation, but I might ask specifically for what I'm seeking and be prepared to haggle, especially having lived within a nomadic tribe where resources are scarce and precious. Or alternatively reply with a generalism such as "Merely looking." A screenshot of your skin:
