  1. *MickiMatsu attempts to write signature, the pen breaks and ink spills all over where the name should be... He Continues staring at the signature, and claims it's a drawing of a Spider, good enough* (MC name: MickiMatsu)
  2. Out-Of-Character: Minecraft Account Name: MickiMatsu Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: No, I didn't get to go. How old are you?: 23 years old. Time-Zone/Country of Residence: GTM+01:00, my country is Denmark. Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, I've got quite a good grasp of the English language. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a Dane and am still studying for a higher degree education. I speak three languages which are English, German and Danish (my native language). I had experience playing on a roleplay server of Minecraft before, and I assume I did quite well there and had a lot of fun roleplaying experience there, both of a more serious and comedic nature. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: From anywhere between 8 to 16 hours, perhaps more depending on availabe free time. And of course, I do play other games now and then not to get bored with any one game and to keep the experience fresh. What do you know about roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: To me it means being self-aware of being a fictional character I've created or been inspired by, and playing it out through interaction with other players and my surroundings (including ofcourse social situations and the like. My preference is to play by using clever dialogue to entertain other players. Building things also means much in Minecraft roleplay in particular, to keep your character and what you create consistent to your role and personality. Whether the building style differs does not matter (as in different visual styles, themes, colour schemes on several builds) as long it makes sense within the context of your character, and also follows the server rules, and most importantly, looks good. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are: Metagaming can be thought of as an act where out-of-character information is used for in-character roleplay, e.g. knowing that a group of people will raid due to an OOC forum post and preparing for it, yet their characters would have had no access to this information during play. And of course refer to things from real life and bring them in game with no real connection to your or other players characters. Power gaming is something that I see as being the complete disregard for your surroundings, other players, and rules whilst directly trying to achieve a goal in a manner which isn't necessarily illegitimate, but often is borderline abuse of mechanics or so. What do you expect this server will be like?: After reading a lot on the forums, hopefully full of people who stick to roleplaying with other players and don't focus too much on going around killing people at random to "steal" everything. More along the lines that players talk and try to interact with other players to add some depth to their own character, as well as giving other players the chance to flesh out their own creations and alter egos. All in all I assume the community members to provide everyone a good time by simply being a character you can relate to by knowing them better, be it in a good or bad way but nonetheless in character. Ofcourse I assume there is some OOC interaction also, but I would assume mainly in-characer. And hopefully people do not take in-character attacks, insults, taunts or misunderstandings too seriously and overall conduct themselves in an mature way. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I played on The Kingdoms (thekingdomsmc.com) before. I have not completely left it, but I am pretty much inactive there now, as there has been some frequent changes to how the server works and some unfortunate real life accidents have caused a lot of data to be gone and so a lot of the old RP elements which made it good are now gone, e.g. the infrastructure, RP landscaping, etc. Personally I was well received there however and made a great deal of friends who even now play with me and I hope to join on LotC. My character was geared towards being more of a strange mysterious character who you had to meet and understand upon contact rather than know beforehand through a lenghty description, which would ruin the point of my character. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I read them, and I both understand and agree with them. How did you hear about us?: A friend of mine told me about it, and said it could be a good alternative server for me to roleplay on. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?: I did not vote, since I've not tried out your server yet, and probably should do that before voting it over other ones. I like to gather thoughts on things first before making decisions like that. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: MickiMatsu In-Character: Character Name: Duellica'Matsu What is your Race?: I am human, but at heart I wish I'd be a spider rather than a human. This does not mean that I personally want to play a spider, but that my character wishes to be one. Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): My age is unknown, even to myself. I appear young on the outside, but at the same time somehow indistuingishably old. My voice is young, but I speak like I have had experience within my field of expertise for decades. It is not all clear, as my facial features are covered with the mask resembling a spiders face. I am a spider worshipper. I worship the spider queen, and I run the Cult of the Spider Queen. Unlike actual spiders however, I am not agressive or hostile by far, I am peaceful and very kind. I am however also completely obsessed with the Spider Queen and the Cult, and I value my cult and beliefs more than material valuables such as minerals and currencies. I am also not entirely serious as a character, but more of a slight comical relief, to entertain people with dialogue within my character and actions, and also showing the (unaware to my character) irony of worshipping the obviously deadly spiders that roam the world. It's the sheer stupidity of what I am, yet also the charm of being so determined to serve the (probably non-existant) Spider Queen that makes my character usually likable to other peaceful adventureres, and adds a touch of sillyness that isn't over the top to a roleplay world full of diverse races and people. My character wears a regular human shirt and pants, but on my face I wear a spider mask, dubbed as the official spider worshippers "MASQ" (Manifestated Aknowlegdement of the Spider Queen.) On first appeareance I may look like a hostile creature or hybrid of some kind, but looking closer, on my back specifically, a clear string holding my mask unto my head is visible. My character is nice to people, and treats them well and respectfully, means no harm when gloryfying the Spider Queen in public, despite some who may take offense from it indirectly and feel it is an attack towards their own religion. I can be approached by anyone, and Í may come around as either welcoming, or arrogant, depending on how I am greeted or under which circumstances I find myself in. I am very capable of building structures, but I will probably start with making a shrine of appreciation for the Spider Queen, which again may look alarmingly hostile and dangerous, and perhaps more like a statue or dungeon entrance than anything, only to be revealed as a peaceful shrine, despite its outside and inside appearance seeming like the complete opposite. In the end, I am a self aware character, who speaks to other characters in a respectful tone, and with constant roleplay on my mind to stick within my character of a spider worshipper. I will never attack someone out of revenge or greed, or even attack anyone at all, and I will never arm myself with more than a wooden sword in public, despite it being dangerous out in the wild. Mostly to show how peaceful I really am, and how I wish no harm upon others. But I will never kill a spider unless I need its resources, and for other various logical reasons. Your characters ambitions: I have no personal goal, other than letting the word spread that the Spider Queen exists, and that the spiders of this world wish no harm, which ofcourse they obviously do, but due to my beliefs and inability to believe in anything else I will never be convinced otherwise. I will first build a shrine, then I hope to erect various buildings to accompany it, perhaps a temple or housing for bypassers, who need rest and food, and then take the opportunity to enlighten them with the Existence of the Spider Queen. I do not wish to get in any conflicts ever, and I will avoid joining any unless they are friends of the Cult of the Spider Queen in which case we may give in to a few favours. In the end however, my ultimate goal is to add a smile to random people I come across and have the chance to interact with, and give the odd one an expereince that I believe only a spider worshipper would be able to give them. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?: I just look, and I may pass by as it is likely none of my business if the elf did anything to trouble the bandits earlier and may have had it coming, or if the bandits were ambushing an innocent elf. My personal business to let out the word of The Spider Queen is much more important to me, and I completely disregard if it will actually lead into a dangerous chase of bandits (or an enraged elf..?) hunting me down in the end. I am arrogant when it comes to a strangers troubles and do not care about the outcome nor do I care to try and scavenge any wares and loot dropping from either party, as I am not in the need of collecting a strangers possessions. In fact, I may just try to interrupt them through dialogue, only to school them of the peaceful ways of The Spider Queen and her followers, not caring (or rather unaware of the possible outcome) that it may just lead to grabbing the bandits attention or possibly the elf (who may have mistaken me as being hostile due to the mask or odd and untimely intrusion) which will end up in a chase, and possibly result in a beating I'd rather not wish upon my poor self. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?: "Hello Sir, does this establishment sell any Arachnid leg bread? Or perhaps some refreshing Black Widow coffee?" The Shop owner will most likely tell me they don't have these "exotic" wares, and probably offer me alternatives to what I just asked for, to which I will likely respond by merely staring blankly and pondering out loud why these "common" (to me) things are not available in a seemingly popular shop. I will however most likely keep returning there and make the odd request of items that are most likely not available. A screenshot of your skin: Here is a screenshot I uploaded of my current skin which has the following: Bare arms in a plain regular human shirt, a thick leather belt, and a mask of the face of a spider, but I am still considering whether to change the colour of the pants or not. Also I do not wear a uniform, or armor. Other Information: I don't think I have much more to add. I hope if I am accepted here, that I will be well received as well as I will like the community, and hopefully end up making a good time for everyone.
