The Tailor's Guild has been a thing for quite a while now - however, it was recently shut down due to inactivity and some re-working that had to be done. It won't be long before it's up and running once more.

= May =
New Player Data
A substantially lower proportion of accepted applicants entered the server as Humans. Orcs and Elves combined were just as popular. Dwarves and Halflings were also quite popular this month, and even some new Kharajyr.
This month, dwarves were almost majoritarily without a subrace. Orcs were quite equally distributed between Uruk, Olog, Goblin and no-subrace. The most popular elvish subrace was the wood elves, followed by almost equally popular dark elves and high elves. No farfolk this month, most humans were without subrace.

Just over ¾ of applications were accepted this month! Barely anyone on pending were ultimately denied, and a whole ½ of applicants were accepted from the get-go. We’ll be happy to see so many new players on the server.

Only 3 of the 108 recorded timezones were from the austral-asian area… Sad! American timezone made up ¾ of recorded timezones, unsurprisingly.

Team Data
For the majority of the month, we had a 9 member team (not including managers), with a couple members on hiatus. For this amount of staff, the quota remained at 5%, though should have been a bit higher… we will be looking for new members soon!

Those who did not meet quota were on hiatus for part or all this month - and informed their managers of this. Pieman only just surpassed Imi in application reviews (Vaynth doesn’t count anymore… because she’s a manager!).
Team Projects
Vaynth, our new manager, is working on re-starting the Tailor’s Guild - this is a group made up by player volunteers which work to make skins for new players and are subsidised/rewarded by the staff with a standard minas per skin. The other projects are near completion.

= April =
New Player Data
Almost half of this month’s applicants were accepted as Humans. However, what stands out is that there were 11 new players who joined as orcs, making it the third most popular race for this month. No Khas joined the world of Axios in the month of April.
In terms of subraces, most dwarfs were without a specific sub race - the rest being mountain dwarves. Most orcs joined as uruk and without sub race, followed by goblins and a couple ologs. Unlike in the past months, there was a more skewed distribution of elves, with mostly wood elves joining the server. The least popular human sub race this month was farfolk, which is similar to the previous months.

Nearly 75% of applicants were accepted this month. Furthermore, the amount of applicants has started to return to pre-blacklist levels. Once again, ⅔ applicants put on pending were able to modify their app to an acceptable level.

For april, it seems that those of the Austral-asian timezone have been less interested in LotC, which to be fair has a playerbase which is mainly america-centric. A little over 25% of accepted applicants were of the european timezone. It is possible that since applicants are not required to provide a timezone, that these numbers may be off.

Team Data
For the majority of the month, we had a 12 member team (not including managers), with a couple members on hiatus. For this amount of staff, the quota remains at 5% as can be seen below.

The only members who did not make quota are all on hiatus for personal reasons - and informed me or their managers as to why. We hope that they will be back when all is resolved. Jandy was once again the one who contributed the most in doing applications, we are sad to see him go (although that’ll leave many apps for Vaynth to do). Luv, manager, has also decided to step down and leave the team - we shall be choosing a new member to fill the position soon.
Team Projects
Due to a lack of communication and technical issues, Luv’s project was dropped as they stepped down. Leslie reportedly is very close to completing theirs, and will likely be ready to present it by the end of the month.

New Player Data
This month, half of accepted applicants joined as humans. The remaining were mostly elves, making up more than half of this portion. Dwarves got a boost in popularity and at least each race was represented this month.
No forest dwarves this month and most orcs appear to be goblins. The majority of humans chose a subrace, through not much more than half. Amongst the human subraces - farfolk was clearly the least popular. Elvish subraces were quite balanced this month - an equal number (almost) of accepted applicants choosing each subrace.

A distribution almost the same as last month. In march almost ¾ of applications were accepted either immediately or after being placed on pending. Again, only a small proportion of those put on pending were actually denied.

In March we see essentially the same distribution of timezones as in February - mostly concentrated in the American time zone with a nice proportion of europeans. Once again, barely anyone accepted from the Austral-asian area.

Team Data
As the team size was of 12 non-managerial members this month, the quota was set at 5% to ensure at least 60% of applications were covered by quota. As can be seen, the team members with the most contributions were Vaynth, Pieman and Jandy (once again). It was a bit of a slow month this week - but there were enough applications to go around.

This month, only Jlyoko and Goldensaint2 were unable to complete quota. Due to this, they have been warned and we hope to see an improvement in their activity next month. It must be considered however, that there is a bit of competition for apps with so many people on the team. Fireheart will be leaving the team for a break due to personal reasons, we hope to see him back soon.
Team Projects
This month, progress was made on projects started by the managers last month - it is most likely that these will be completed by the end of April. See the February Log for a quick summary of what the projects are and who is leading them.
As well as this, Rella101 has created a discord server expressly for new and applying members to be able to interact with racial and settlement leaders - and to essentially assist them onto the server and into RP.

Thanks however for the update, this type of information is pretty important.
Last month, we had the most we've had in some time with 255 apps, and this month we only had 102 - the major difference is the blacklist... which I would say is a major factor.

Application Team Log
= February =
New Application Moderators
We have taken on a large load of new Application Team members. This brings the team up to 12 members (which is the optimum number for now). This now allows each manager 4 members to oversee and train.
The newest members were again chosen between veterans and new blood, as per the advice from the managers and my personal choice - these are the picks;
Rella101 has made great efforts to assist new players in the Wandering Soul chat and asking GMs to TP her over to whitelisted players as to guide them into the server. This and her written guide on the forums made her a good pick for the team.
Pieman101 received support from team members and has demonstrated a desire to help new players by hunting the wandering soul chat for lost newbs, another interesting choice.
Imi is an old veteran of the AT and has been welcomed back onto the team. This was an easy pick.
Cordial was suggested by managers with praise and has been given a chance to working on the application team as well.
Trintea was another choice for new blood on the team. Being a very friendly person, she will certainly do well in helping new players.
Z3m0s is an veteran AT from my own timezone, increasing the coverage in the Aussie area for those newbs down under.
Rammer was suggested by management as well, as a member of the community who knows their lore quite well and will be able to direct the new players.
New Player Data
This month, the majority of accepted applicants joined as humans again (>50%). The remaining were mostly elves, though a much smaller proportion. There were no halflings this month. Orcs were the third pick, followed by Kharajyr and Dwarves.
It appears that orcs were evenly distributed, while elves are as usual mostly wood elves - though more people applied as dark and high elves than elves without a subrace. Most humans applied without a subrace, followed by highlanders. The only dwarf to join the server this month was a Cavern Dwarf.

Due to the blacklist from Mojang, the amount of applications dropped drastically, with a total of 102 being lodged in February. Even more of these were accepted - with only 28 being denied this month. The great majority of pending apps also went on to being accepted which is also desirable.

In February, it appears that almost no-one from the Austral-asian area joined the server, and an overwhelming majority joined from America. This is clearly expected, but it is strange to see such a small proportion of Europeans.

Team Data

As can be seen, the team members with the most contributions were Vaynth and Jandy (once again). This month though, there was a severely lower amount of applications available - so quota was not strictly enforced..

The new members to the team were added half-way through the month and were not expected to meet quota anyway. Jlyoko and GoldenSaint2 likely were unable to meet quota due to the combined effects of the added people to the team and the blacklist - which has caused some to go on hiatus for a while until the server is back up.
Team Projects
This month, thanks to the manager overhaul, we have three documented projects led by the managers. Leslie will be moving forward with adding some ‘beginner lore’ to the wiki and on a thread in the Whitelist forum - this on top of finishing up the team feedback survey she passed around to team members during February. Coolio will be working on a racial showcases for new players to have a more learned-choice when it comes to choosing the race they apply with. Finally, Luv will be working on giving the AT an extra character slot to play Cloud Temple monks or some form of mentoring character for new players.
Once again, no player retention this month - this time due to the fact that the blacklist would muck with the results… Once everything is back and running, I will endeavour to get some player retention stats up again.
