Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm currently a sophomore in college studying computer science. I've been playing video games for 14 years and roleplaying for 9. I also practice parkour and have competed in various gaming competitions.
How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Since I'm a college student, the time can change. However, I expect to spend at least 20 hours a week on the server.
What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: To me, roleplaying is being able to forget about "real life" and sit back and enjoy the life of a character. I consider it a major portion of my life as I also enjoy games such as D&D 3.5, Pathfinder, Tephra, and many other roleplaying games.
In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming is when people mix roleplaying and events in real life, such as when someone lets events in real life, such as arguments with another player, affect their in-game relationships. It can also refer to simply using information obtained in OOC IC. Powergaming refers to a player who engages in little to no roleplaying and focuses on stats or material possessions in game. Powergaming in the RP sense can refer to the use of “godmodding” by having an 'all powerful' character. This can refer to both an characters skills and actions. Example: Jeff Wigglesworth breaks free of his shackles, conjures Excalibur, and slices his enemy in a single action! Or alternatively: Jeff walks up behind you, steals your valuables and runs away! Both of these are negatively impacting on fun because they don't give other players time to react.
What do you expect this server will be like?: I hope the server will be full of people focusing on roleplay and not things like meta- and powergaming.
What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on a number of creative and roleplaying servers since minecraft alpha, but none of them were ever made public. The group I played with are all (some already have) applied to start playing here. This is because the administration on our last server came to be a burden (only a handful of players for lots of work).

Character Name: Cora
What is your Race?: Human
Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Cora has been an orphan as long as she can remember. She never knew her parents and never knew any other name from “Cora”. Since no one wanted to take care of a poor orphan girl, she constantly traveled from city to city trying to find her next meal and place of shelter. During this process she met Dontialis, another orphan who lost his parents at the age of 7, when she was roughly 8 years old herself. This happened when she spotted a guard looking at Dontialis when he was about to try and steal a loaf of bread. She quickly grabbed his hand and pulled him away before he was able to commit the crime. They instantly became friends and banded together to help look out for each other in the harsh streets.
While traveling one day, she spotted an old bow in a pile of trash in an alleyway. Seeing that the bow might still be worth something, she took it and headed into the market. She ran around for what seemed like hours trying to find a merchant who might be interested in purchasing the bow. Right before she was about to give up, she spotted a man with a bow on his back carrying a number of pelts and she was struck with an idea: maybe if she could learn how to use the bow, instead of sell it she could earn even more of a profit! From this day onward she practiced with her bow everyday trying to master the art of the shot as best she could before trying hunting for herself. Now, at age 19, she travels with a small group of misfits and acts as their hunter and scout (applying with a bunch of friends ^^) and tries to live her life day-to-day.
Cora tends not to try to make friends with people as she is naturally suspicious of everyone around her. She cares deeply for the few friends she does have and would jump in the way of an arrow to protect them. However, even with her suspicion, she can make friends with people easily if she is in a good mood. Her mood is generally very neutral as she always tries to keep a level head to make decisions, as being overly happy or angry can make someone make mistakes.
Her attire consists of a simple white shirt with frills underneath a gray bodice with dark leather shoulder guards. She wears a pair of sun dyed leather pants with texturing going down the front that reveals the front of her shins. She wears a small pouch around each of her thighs for easy access and carries a small backpack. She also carries her hunting knife on the front of her belt.
Your characters ambitions: Cora simply looks to get by in her day-to-day life while having a good time in between. She currently has no long-term goals or ambitions other then having a good time and making sure she has enough to eat.
Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Sneak up behind the bandits, listen to see what they are fighting over, then decide to get involved or simply sneak past and ignore them.
Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? She glances around before realizing the shopkeeper was talking to her. "I'm looking for some flint, do you know where I can find some?"
