SacredAssassin

I am 16 years old.
Time-Zone/Country of Residence:
GMT-5/Canada
Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:
Yes, I am fluent in English, as well as French.
Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:
I am a sixteen year old male living in Canada. A few of my many passions are for music (I play in a jazz band), literature (I am in love with some of Shakespeare’s poetry and plays), and RPGs (Runescape, Zelda, Skyrim). My favourite television show is My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Being on Minecraft since March of 2011, I’ve had a fair share of both the creative and survival aspects of this game, but yet to truly experience the role-playing approach in all of its glory, from what I hear regarding Lord of the Craft.
How much time could you be on the server weekly?:
I’m a very active Minecraft player, and I usually spend over 2 hours per day on weekdays, and over 5 hours on weekends. I can be on the server for approximately 10-30 hours per week.
What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:
Roleplaying is the equivalent of travelling across unknown lands and listening to the subtle whisper of the waves along the shoreline, through the vastness of space and time itself. It is the act of immersing yourself in an alternate universe, experiencing it as though it is reality, or more so, an escape from reality. You are an inhabitant; one with a specific personality, ambitions, and appearance. Your behaviour changes to suit your character’s traits, and your actions are based on only what your character should know, striving to make things feel as realistic and logical as possible. The real world no longer applies here. This is the land of creativity, where the mind thrives among the luscious seeds of imagination and wonder.
What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:
In the past, I’ve been a part of a few plays and films where I’ve had to act, think, and speak like the character I was assigned. I also read a lot of novels and stories, so my mind has gotten into the groove of creating its own image and sound of all the characters which are introduced, and I find that this helps a lot because I can easily come up with lines that a certain person would say or do.
In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:
Well, Meta-Gaming in role-play is using/acting upon information from which you’ve received from Out-of-Character moments, other players, and not what your character should know. This type of play-style is not good for role-players.
Example of Meta-Gaming:
Jacob is roleplaying as the character of Gunthor, who is currently off to war against the disgusting and foul orcs of Krugmar. Jacob hears from his friend on Teamspeak that the orcs are going to set up an ambush at the base of the large mountain Gunthor will be passing, so instead of going in that direction, Jacob leads Gunthor through a small trail going around the mountain instead, for no apparent reason.
In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:
Power-Gaming in role-play is the act of performing actions to try and benefit yourself, without taking into account the necessary guidelines in order to do so.
Example of Power-Gaming:
Jacob is roleplaying as the character of Gunthor, and sees somebody in the wild wearing full diamond armour. Due to the fact that diamond is extremely rare, Jacob immediately attacks and kills the person, without engaging in chat, and properly role-playing.
What do you expect this server will be like?:
I expect Lord of the Craft to be a hardcore roleplaying server, where all players are into the groove of acting as if they were the characters themselves. People will live among their race, and perform tasks for logical reasoning, not simply due to their own personal desires. There will always be something to do, and new areas and additions will be occasionally made to the land. Of course, this will be a place devoid of cheaters and rule breakers, immature children (sometimes adults), people who do not do a proper job in roleplaying, and those who use Meta-Gaming and Power-Gaming to their advantage.
What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:
I have played on Battlecraft, Herocraft, Odyssey, Keystone Creative, and a few small servers which I have forgotten. There have been a lot of good memories playing on these servers; however they all are beginning to feel dull, due to things always staying the same. I have never been banned on any of the servers I have visited; my history is 100% clear of any type of offense.
Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:
Yes, I have read and agreed to all the rules.
Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules:
Yes, I do.
How did you hear about us?:
I’ve heard about this server from Minestatus, as well as my friends on Battlecraft. They say some really amazing things about you guys, and I would be honoured to play with them.
Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?:
Yes, I was vote #3739.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):
The past; the warm heat of the summer’s day, under the cool shade of the familiar apple tree, the sweet friendships that were made, the apologies forgiven. Such fond memories often bring waves of longing and nostalgia, effortlessly trying to relive those same experiences once more. But for myself, I can try no harder to forget.
My mother looked deeply into my deep, blue eyes, smiling with joy as she carried me in her slender arms across the wooden room. Sitting on a rocking chair, my father grinned to his heart’s contempt, as she came by, and gently sent me into his broad, strong hands. He heartily glanced up at her, and said graciously, “It’s a true miracle, that I now have a son.”
My parents cared for me wherever we went, and I couldn’t have been evermore happy as a child. On my sixth birthday, my parents gave me a beautiful bow, hand-crafted by my father, and tied with string sown by my mother. I would spend days practising my archery skills, aiming for apples hanging off the tree resting in the forest near our home in Malinor. The times were calm and sweet; however I would soon become aware that change is something impossible to escape.
Little to my knowledge, dark forces began to converge from all corners of the world, and the fight for Aegis was soon to be fought.
I sat down close to the ocean nearby, watching the azure waves crumple under the rising moon. Suddenly, I heard moans of the dead off in the direction of our home, accompanied by faint screams of pain and fear. It was not long before I was soon in a ship with a few other elves, as we watched our kingdom become engulfed in flames. My parents were nowhere to be seen, and my heart ached with sorrow…
It has been a long time since then. I am now 121 years old, travelling from kingdom to kingdom, in a constant search for further wisdom, and stopping evil wherever it may arise. Peering out the window of my wooden ship, I now see an endless display of colour and new opportunity.
Ah, may this be what I have been hearing?
I make my way up to the deck, feeling the salty breeze of the ocean against my young, firm skin.
I no longer have any doubt. I’ve finally made my way here.
The lore now speaks highly of this place; the fabled lands of Asulon.

Open-Response-Questions
Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?
Seeing the two armored warriors, raising their steel swords against the halfing, I realize that this situation will soon turn ugly if I do not act upon it soon. I run forward and appear before the enemies, speaking with a loud and threatening tone, “Stop harassing this fellow, now!”
The two men turn to face me, revealing their green, orcish skin. “Wuahaha! Elf try help poor? Let’s kill ‘im, Rorch!”, shouted the first one to his companion.
The pretentious imbecility of these fiends lights a spark of hatred within me. Unsheathing my deadly blade, I gaze upon them, whispering menacingly, “Then prepare to die.”
Commence RP battle.
Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?
“Hello sir. Do you sell any kind of armour?” I ask.
“Why of course, I have leather, iron, and gold sets. Which one would you prefer, my dear friend?”
“Leather, I find it to be the most comfortable.”
“That will be 200 minas.”
Exchanges minas for leather armour.
“Have a nice day, sir,” I reply.
Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:
The wilds are a dangerous place to keep valuables, and whoever foolish enough to store these items in this hut should know the risk.
Takes the iron bars and golden sword.
Preparing to leave, I leave a sign by the chest saying, “Thank you for these gifts. Next time be more careful.”
Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?
“Greetings, my friends. My name is Seregon, skilled-rogue of the elves. I have been travelling for days, trying to find my way to the kingdom of Oren. Would any of you please be so kind as to helping me with directions, as well as offering a small portion of food?”
You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:
As a warrior of the elven race, I gladly offer my support to eliminate evil, regardless of the reward. I follow the town guard to our rally point, where five other men await for command. As we are about to leave, I give a few words of support for the group, “For the good of all races, let light shine upon those dwelling within the shadows of evil!”
