  1. Hey so I've been away from the server for a long time but I've come back so I'm looking to get my magic restored, my character Ionia had in fact already become a master telekinetic before I left.

    MC Name:

    gabriel101x1

    Character's Name:

    Ionia Sullas

    Character's Age:

    294

    Character's Race:

    High Elf

What magic(s) will you be learning?:

    Telekinesis

Link a MA of a magic your character already uses that is in the same archetype as the magic you are self teaching:

    https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/96161-acceptedionia-sullas-re-magic-application/

How did you learn this magic(s)?:

Ionia learned telekinesis from Kalenz over a period of over 70 years (about a year and a half IRL)

MC name of OOC overseer (Note: they must either have a TA in this magic on any character or be a member of the MT):

It was SupremacyOps before I finished my training

Offer an explanation of the magic(s) you are learning:

Telekinesis is the arcane art of magically manipulating objects with one's mind. A telekinetic alters gravitational forces surrounding an object, using their mana to manipulate gravity in order to push and pull the object in any direction they see fit. Manipulating objects using such techniques takes immense concentration, limiting the weight and number of objects a telekinetic may lift at any one time. Additionally due to the difficulty of maintaining this concentration, only solid inanimate objects may be manipulated by a telekinetic. These have too many moving parts for a telekinetic to be able to concentrate on their form as a whole in order to be able to move them.

Provide evidence you've a proper means of learning this magic(s):

I spent 1.5 IRL years learning this magic with Kalenz and then by myself after our studies had completed, unfortunately I don't think I have the RP screenshots anymore.

Do you have a magic(s) you are dropping due to this app? If so, link it:

    No

Do you agree to keep the MT updated on the status of your magic app by using the Magic List Errors topic?:

    Yes

Are you aware that if this magic is undergoing an activity trial and fails said trial, that you will lose the magic?:

    Yes

Have you applied for this magic on this character before, and had it denied? If so, link the app:

Ionia gasped, feeling air return to her lungs, light flood into her eyes, sound into her ears. Blinking, her mouth dry, she looked around realising she had awoken in depths of the Cloud Temple as had many a traveler before her. This wasn’t her first time at he Cloud Temple, but it was her first time at this particular one. As she ascended the steps from the temple’s bowels she could hear the faint bustle of the monks on the floors around her. The ends of robes scraping along the sandstone floors accompanied by scuffling footsteps as they went about their day. Reaching the top of the stairs she was greeted by one of the monks who graciously gifted her some bread and water before sending her on her way.

Exiting the temple onto the terrace outside she held up a hand to shield her eyes as the morning sun engulfed her in its warm embrace. She shivered, the way someone does when adjusting to a new temperature, she’d missed the sun. Ionia paused, but why had she missed the sun she thought, and why was she cold before; she frowned. Ionia turned, looking back at the temple behind her. The new Cloud Temple in this land was certainly a spectacle, towering above its surroundings, a monolith atop its mountain perch. She smiled, running her hand over one of the pillars, hewn from the familiar sandstone she had come to know back in Asulon. She sighed, turning back to the path and making her way down the steps to where she assumed the main road would be.

As she descended the steps Ionia gazed at the land around her, spotting various buildings and other structures in the distance, she wondered how the rest of the Mali’aheral were doing, the early arrivals from the ships from Anthos must have begun construction on the new Silver City she thought to herself. When she reached the crossroads at the base of the temple she stopped a passing stranger, asking for directions to the new Haelun’or encampment, this garnered her a strange look but they pointed her in the direction and she thought nothing of it.

Walking along the road alone Ionia passed many a caravan, but more curious were the taverns, mansions and walled towns. She marvelled at the speed at which people were able to construct things these days, it seemed as though it were only yesterday they were evacuating Anthos, and yet here they were in a new land whose buildings already looked years old. Soon she could see a haze of white spires in the distance, she immediately new what is was. It was home. As she neared the walls of Haelun’or she found herself gasping in awe. How was it possible she asked herself, they had finished construction on the city aleady?! Had they recruited more builders? No surely not she countered, not even with more hands could they have built such a marvel in a matter of weeks since the first ships arrival ahead of the rest of the fleet. Perhaps by magic then she thought, though surely not any type of magic she knew. Shaking her head she made her way up the steps to the main gate. Ionia frowned, noting the wide-open portcullis at the front. She had never known the Mali’aheral to have an open-gate policy, in neither Lin’everal nor the Elcihi'thilln in Asulon. As she ventured into the main square she looked about tentatively, awed once more by the beauty of the buildings surrounding her, curiously she noted to herself the architectural style was quite different from their last city, she didn’t mind the new look though. Ionia cupped her hands around her mouth and gave a shout, “Hello! Llir!”. There was no response..

Ionia waited for a moment, hoping for a response, when she didn’t receive one she endeavored to find where everyone was, wandering through the city she passed scores of houses, each with its inhabitant’s names engraved above the door as was tradition. Strangely though she didn’t recognize any of the names on the plaques. She brushed the thought aside though, there must be a few newcomers to the state she thought to herself. Continuing through the city she passed a few more buildings, a clinic and a tavern, along with more houses. She peered through the window of the clinic, but nobody appeared to be home.

It wasn’t before long that Ionia’s world would soon be turned upside-down. Approaching a Mali’ame who similarly was wandering the streets Ionia struck up a conversation. She was taken aback to find the elf acting very strangely, begging her not to hurt him, asking her to let him go. Confused, Ionia quizzed the elf on why he would think such a thing, he seemed just as confused as her after her response. Citing recent political events and telling her she mustn’t be up to date with things Ionia asked the strange elf what year it was, as a feeling was nagging at the back of her mind.

The year is 1648… Those words hung in her mind as the realization swirled around her head. Everything made sense, the elf’s strange behavior, how the cities in the new land were so advanced, how the Silver City had changed so much. She couldn’t believe it, she had been gone for nearly 200 years. Snippets of memory flowed through her mind as she tried to process this revelation. Ionia remembered the fall of Anthos in 1457, the short stay in the Fringe before they set sail to the new promised land, and then…. Nothing. It was as if she had fallen asleep and woken in the cloud temple the next day. Wandering through an alien land she knew nothing of.

Soon the Mali’ame left and she found an actual resident of Haelun’or; a kind tavern-keep named Cinh'llytn, whom she explained her story to. As she tried to figure out what had happened she was saddened to hear many of her family and friends were no longer with them, some dead, and others even branded traitors to the state, those whom she had trusted with her life. It was as if she was in a foreign world, without the people she knew it hardly felt like home to her. However Cinh informed her there were still some of those she knew who still resided within Haelun’or. She still had some friends, and she was determined now to seek them out, in hopes of restoring the gaps in her memory, if not just to see a familiar face.

Cinh'llytn was kind enough to grant Ionia a bed to sleep in at his tavern whilst she got her bearings in the city and tried to find herself more permanent housing, being frustrated to learn that the longstanding family home of the Sullas’ no longer existed. As she entered her room in the tavern she found a mirror; immediately making her way over to it Ionia inspected her face in the reflection, brushing her skin with her hand. Though 200 years had passed her by she herself had seemingly not aged a day…

    OOC:

Hey! So uh it’s been a while guys, about 4 years now since I last logged onto the server, this was a bit of a short account of my first day back of RP. So I’m back now, at least for a bit, hopefully more. There’s so many new faces around here that a lot of you probably have no idea who I am. I used to play Ionia Sullas, the daughter of Celia and Lucion Sullas back in Asulon and Anthos as well as a few other minor characters that are less well known. Hopefully I’ll be seeing you all around and we’ll have some fun together.

  3. As for animation- let see.

I'm currently using. Z brush, Adobe Flash & Photoshop CC, Autodesk Maya- and I used ot use Softimage.

...I miss it's rendering time. :why:

Personally though I consider myself a traditional animator- 2D is my love, but I appreciate the advancments 3d can contribute to my envoirments and processing. There's a few show sout there that give great exmaples where the two mediums can cooexist quiet well.

I'm currently in my 3rd year at uni.

As for my skills..hmmm I'm my own worst critic, but I don't think I suck, at least my profss have high hopes for me. I should elt me work speak for itself though.

Here's a few of my work from my 1st and 2nd year.

I don't like putting my profile work or completed stuff on youtube cause.. well.. it's youtube. :notrust:

But you can see what I like to work with. Oh gosh that aweful puppet aimation. *shudders* I'm NEVEr using that stuff - again!

I really want to learn to use Z-brush sometime, but my cheapskate Uni only has mudbox instead Q_Q, and I haven't gotten around to getting Z-brush myself.
