  1. Out-Of-Character: Minecraft Account Name: WreathOfHeath Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: No. How old are you?: Nineteen. Time-Zone/Country of Residence: EST. U.S. of A. Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, I do. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: Currently a High School Graduate looking for a college for engineering/architecture. Got through High School with straight A's, great social life, and general happiness. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I currently have a job with varying hours, but I'd be able to get in at least an hour weekdays, more on weekends. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: I come from a server in Garry's Mod (Taco n' Banana, if you've ever heard of it) that took R.P. very seriously. I was an active member there for almost a year before I stopped. Roleplaying, to me, is a way of self expression like no other. It's writing, acting, and a social experience all at the same time. I role play to have fun and write a story, and don't eagerly jump from character to character but rather develop in depth progressions of my creations individually. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming is the use of knowledge not garnered IC (or in-context), but from "Global chat" or a friend. Say one's buddy were to tell him where to find a hidden stash of diamonds under the map in an instant-messenger. Since one didn't learn where the diamonds were as their character, they technically have no IC knowledge of said stash, and to go after it would be Metagaming. Powergaming is performing an action on another person without their consent. Say two characters were fighting. If one character were to attack another IC, they would have to say, "Steve swings his sword towards Barry." If Stever were to say, "Steve slices his sword at Barry's chest, cleaving him in two," that would be powergaming. What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect LOTC to be a large, widespread map filled with many player-created wonders and wonderful roleplaying opportunities throughout my stay. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on an afore-mentioned Garry's Mod server called Taco n' Banana, which centered on serious roleplay within the Half Life universe. I left because the community was too tight-knit for my liking, and I began to notice various cliques and factions springing up exclusive to people who knew each other OOC. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes. How did you hear about us?: I was browsing through MC servers one day and saw your server. It piqued my interest. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? Yes, I did. I was vote 3,230. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Heath. In-Character: Character Name: Fedor Tolskoy. (I don't know what the deal is with surnames.) What is your Race?: Dwarf. (Again, I don't know if you have to earn your way into certain races or not.) Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Fedor was born to Drama Tolskoy, and raised within the great hall Kal'Urguan. Most of his childhood he spent learning the art of tool-making and mining techniques at his mothers side, his growth grinding to a halt at four foot. But at age fifty, his father saw fit to take him out of his mother's protective bosom and throw him into the art of war. After a life of sedentary mining and rock-studying, Fedor was less than ready for the brutal, unforgiving Dwarven military training. After a decade of practice (although in this span he learned little more than to polish his weapon) he was thrown into the ring against his fellow dwarf children. Bested and belittled at every turn, Fedor brought great shame to his family, and was punished by banishment until he could prove his merit as a warrior. After several cuts and bruises in a duel with a very angry mountain-goat, Fedor accepted his fate of exile and settled down a ways away from Kal'Urguan and began a life of mining and construction. Not wanting to mock the old Dwarf tradition, Fedor kept his beard short and tidy, as well as growing soft and unfit in his years of recline. After a few decades of these less than exciting activities, Fedor decided he couldn't live with himself if he left his family's shame unmended, so, with naught but his trusty pick in tow, he set out into the world for adventure, eager to make a name for himself among the great history of Aegis. Your characters ambitions: Fedor is ready and eager to combat his foes, although his abilities may not be ideal, and seeks to earn fame and glory for his family. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Fedor, seeing an opportunity for combat, jumps into the fray, using his fragile pick as well as he can in lieu of a traditional weapon. Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? "Hallo' thar' shop keep! Although I ain't got tha' coin to pay far' the fine goods ye' got here, if ye've h'ard any mention of trar'ble around this 'ere village I'd sure like ta' know about it!" A screenshot of your skin: My link Other Information: I'm not sure if all of the thing I have wrote are canon or not, so excuse me if there are any fallacies present. Getting into this server would be great, but don't take that as begging, simply an affirmation of the dedication I'll put into getting in. Thanks for reading!
