What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Xx_Gh0st_R1d3R_xX In-Character: Character Name:Sa’Thrym What is your Race?: Elf. Dark Elf. Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Sa’Thrym is a 145 year old Dark Elf. He is about 1.6m tall with deep blue skin and fair white hair. He is strong, but not buff and his boyish face makes him look younger than he actually is. From the moment Sa’Thrym was born in Aegis, he was the pride and joy of his parents, who tragically died when he was 3 years old. He was naturally intelligent and athletic, but shy when around the other children in the village, for there was one particular young elf, Zek was his name, who was obnoxious, arrogant and the leader of the gang of bullies in the village. This caused Sa’Thrym to be disliked and rejected by the rest of the village children, for fear of being left out along with him. He was bullied and taunted by the others and one of his only peaceful places was down by the river’s edge, training to accurately fire his bow and become a master of the sword. The only other village child who would dare approach him was a young girl named Laela. She was also a reject like Sa’Thrym because of her pale/brown skin and bright green eyes. For she was a Wood Elf. But she dared not tell them for fear of even more ridicule. They had a natural connection and quickly fell in love. Then Gomak found out. They were bullied endlessly and mercilessly. It became, that a army of his cronies swarmed around Sa’Thrym and Laela for hours on end. The only privacy they had was at the river’s edge together, where they slowly spent more and more time together. Then Zek saw them one day from his hut and decided to mock and taunt them by himself, for he knew that neither would dare touch him. Or so he thought. Sa’Thrym saw him approaching and tried to warn Laela, but it was too late. Gomak began to insult them with all he had. Sa’Thrym kept his chin high and tried to show no weakness and let his rage silently built up. But he snapped when Gomak hit and spat on Laela. He grabbed Zek by the scruff of his collar and punched him hard in the jaw. But the only advantage Sa’Thrym had was the element of surprise. Once Zek had recovered from the initial attack, he easily knocked him down onto the ground, where he continued to reign blow after blow onto Sa’Thrym, who meekly tried to protect himself. Zek then turned around to where Laela was standing! But as Zek dropped his guard, Sa’Thrym gathered what little strength he had and launched a viscous two-footed kick into Zek’s chest, knocking him into the river. Unknown to Sa’Thrym was that Zek could not swim and began to drown. But Sa’Thrym thought that he was trying to trick them into coming into the river to save him. This thought quickly left his mind as THE body of Zek floated to the river’s surface, face down. Realising what they had done, Laela and Sa’Thrym fled into the nearby mountains. Sa’Thrym, who had suffered greatly in the fight, had to limp and be supported by Laela, who stood loyally by his side. Realising that he was slowing Laela down, he tried to convince her to continue without him. But she would not give in to his requests and stuck to him even more. The trek was a long and hard, but finally they made it to a town. The name was unknown to them but it seemed to be busier than the small stores and inns gave it any right to be. And the most activity seemed to be happening around the docks, where a fleet of enormous boats floated. Realising that they were their best opportunity to escape the group of elves that had been hunting them down for the past 3 months of the trek, they snuck aboard. Once there, in the new-found continent of Asulon, his first task was to find a doctor to cure Laela of an illness that she contracted along the journey. After a thorough examination, the doctor looks up at Sa’Thrym with piercing grey eyes and tells him that Laela is had been poisoned, and that there wasn’t anything that he could do to save her. Sa’Thrym was shocked after only expecting the doctor to give her a potion and bid them goodbye. But now he was faced with the prospect of losing her, something he couldn’t bear to imagine. Laela died later that month, with Sa’Thrym loyally at her side, as she had stayed loyally at his. Sa’Thrym is an intelligent elf who is slowly gaining confidence around others, and is loyal to those he trusts. But he is forever suspicious of those who he doesn’t for every one of them is a suspect in his search for the killer of the one he loved. Your characters ambitions: Sa’Thrym hopes to find a group of friends that he can trust, and settle down with. He also wants to hone his skills with the sword and fully master it’s power. He is trying to erase the painful memories of his past, and a new life with new friends would be an incredible help. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Sa’Thrym would take a thorough look at the situation and decide to sneak up on the bandits from behind, avoiding unnecessary bloodshed, but knowing that the odds were against him. He would then rush up with his sword drawn and draw it along the first bandit’s leg, causing him to fall to the ground, before striking him with the hilt of his sword, instantly causing him to fall to the ground unconscious. He would look up at the second bandit with all the intimidation and rage in his eyes that he could muster. The second bandit, already fleeing, would never know that Sa’Thrym had no intention of harming him. Sa’Thrym would then take the small elf to the nearest inn and pay the owner ample Minas to shelter and feed the boy and return him home. Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? “I heard that this was the place to buy the finest armor and weapons, with a practical price! I have come to see what you have to offer?” “Why certainly young man, let’s see if we have anything that fits your price range”, reply’s the shop owner. And on that thought, you and the shopkeeper disappear into the shop together, away from the pounding rain. Half an hour later, they re-emerge from the shop, having a serious conversation. “Your armor and weapons are the best I’ve seen in a long time”, Sa’Thrym states, “but your price range is far greater than I anticipated”. “Quality comes with price”, jokes the shopkeeper, while silently cursing Sa’Thrym for wasting his time. “Remember to come back when you have a larger budget range!” And with that, he disappeared into the shop again and leaving Sa’Thrym outside in the pouring rain. Sa’Thrym would then take the young elf to the nearest inn and pay the owner as much as needed to shelter and feed the elf and return him home.
