Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):
Laslon grew up on a tiny farm quite a ways from the city of Al'Khazar. After the fall of Oren Laslon and his family had to flee like most of the rest of the nation. They found themselves getting an equivalently sized farm on the outskirt of Salvus' border of control. This all happened while Laslon was a young teenager, the move being the first time he had seen anything of the world apart from the few miles of wood around the farm, his father always going alone to the market at Al'khazar.
Growing up Laslon had always wondered what the world was like, but his father was adamant that he would not go out to be influenced by the evil of the world. This never stopped the curiosity though and Laslon would push the boundaries set by his father the extremes, going on long excursions into the wilds much the disappointment of his father, and his rear end when he returned.
Laslon is an incredibly average young man in all ways except his intellect. He is 5"5' with brown hair and brown eyes. His mind had always caused him trouble, asking lots of questions as a young lad, he would spend hours letting his mind wonder about grander things, as he toiled hard on the his fathers farm. This hard work day in day out for the minimal result in product had made Laslon think that there must be something better.
Since the move to Asulon, Laslon's appetite for the world had grown ever more insatiable, going further and further from the farm each evening once the work was done, trying to catch glimpses of swordsman and the Elves. Due to the isolation of his farm this never really happened. Travellers being the most he ever saw.
Laslon found it quite easy to learn new skills and would ask his father for training in everything he could think of, but his father, being a small country bumpkin, didn't have much to teach except for slight training in the merchanting, even smaller training in the sword, using small wooden training swords, and of course farming. He learn't how to make his own weapons and items just by looking at them and trying to figure out their components. He eventually figured out, by looking at the wooden training swords, how to make his own stone sword spending his evenings honing the stone until it resembled the shape of the wooden one. It was hard work and the day came when Laslon knew he had grown to big for his small farm. He could not wait for the day he would be 18 and he could fly the nest, without his father being able to say anything.
Laslon is incredibly determined, once he sets his mind to something he will not give up on it until he has proven himself. This proof is not for anybody else but himself, he does not care what others think of him he only cares how he perceives himself. He can be quite quick to anger however and this has ended him the cooking pot a fair few times, after answering back to his strict father. Laslon also has found it hard to make friends being so far away from civilisation. Laslon is quite arrogant thinking that he is better than this farm he had grown to loathe.
So the day of his 18 birthday draws closer and Laslon secretly starts gathering supplies ready for his journey. He does not know where it will take him but is loving the excitement of the prospect of leaving this all behind him.
Will his self taught skills hold up in this big scary world only time will tell.
Your characters ambitions:
Laslon is fresh out of his farm and has no idea what life will bring but he is relishing the opportunity.
Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?
(N.B in my first app. I didn't want to act out the other peoples parts.)
Laslon comes from behind a tree to see an Elf barely holding off two aggressors. He quickly drops his bags, pulls out his homemade stone sword and shouts, "Leave him be." as he rushes towards them. The bandits both stop and turn around facing him and laugh. Ignoring him they turn back to their prey, *big mistake*, he thought to himself as he swung his sword up and over his head and clouted one on the head, his sword was not much of a sword and more of a club, one bandit collapsed with a thud. The other however turned and with one quick glance at his fallen companion leapt at Laslon, sword presented menacingly. This is when Laslon felt like running, he had never been so scared in his life, the initial adrenaline had all but vanished.
Laslon slowly backed away and he could tell there was fear on his face because the the big grin growing on the bandit's. Before long he had backed up as far has he could go with a tree against his back, he knew then that his journey into the world would be short lived. Then out of no where the Elf, who had picked up the fallen bandits sword, plunged a sword straight through the chest of the bandit towering over Laslon. The thief fell to one side as the elf dropped the sword and help Laslon to his feet.
"Thank you, good sir!" Laslon said to the Elf "You saved my life, I go by the name of Laslon."
"No thanks is necessary , it is you that should be thanked." The Elf said with the upmost humbleness, " I am Tipol, how can i repay your kindness."
"I feel that there is nothing to repay, one good deed followed by another." Laslon replied. Tipol went to pick up Laslon's bags and handed them to him, and they preceded down the road ,leaving the battered bandit on ground, next the dead one, to fend for himself when he woke, talking about themselves to one another.
Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?
"Good day sir! I don't suppose you have any good joints of beef, I have been dreaming of of a nice juicy steak for days now." Laslon asked the shopkeepers as he looked around at the produce.
