  1. Out-Of-Character: Kiril Kravchenko Minecraft Account Name: Kraeugolnikov Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: Nope. How old are you?: 21. Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Querétaro city, Mexico. Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I certainly believe I do :) I've been studying it since elementary school and have a 650 score on the TOEFL. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I was proudly born in the USSR and raised in Russian. I went to the Russian embassy school in Mexico city and was brainwashed by the public system of education. Basically, since I graduated highschool, I've grown to despise in many ways the harm that was done by the Soviet regime to my country. Now I live in Mexico, study international relations and generally enjoy myself :) How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Actually not too much. A couple of hours a day, probably. I am finishing my undergraduate studies this semester and have to apply to the MA and do all the beaureucratic things implied. But I do love Minecraft, so I always find some time for it. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: Roleplaying is acting as someone you are not but would like to be. Playing cops and burglars as a kid was actual roleplaying. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming implies taking the game experience out of the game. If I were to hear a conversation between players of a rival clan outside of the game saying that there will be a suprise invasion on my clan's base and I warn my own partners in crime about it, I am metagaming. Powergaming, on the other hand, is taking a lot of the fun out of games. Instead of playing to enjoy the process, it implies gaming for the sake of a goal. In an RPG I'd say it would imply just leveling to have the most powerful character as well as going through the storyline without taking sidequests. In the world of roleplaying, powergaming means being unilateral in your actions and dialogues. For instance, instead of talking to an enemy (or, more likely, exchanging fearsome threats), just assuming that you are better, more powerful and automatically win. In political terms, it is being a huge roleplaying despot :) What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect it to be civilized, griefer-free and with an awesome social component that most servers lack. I must accept I do aspire to be the Emperor that unifies the entire land under my rule..) What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on Greencubes.ru, but had too much lag. Mikeland (sheen.id.au), but I got tired of the grifieng. A friend and I built a flying island and it got destroyed on the next day. I guess those are the biggest servers I've played on consistently. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I most certainly have. How did you hear about us?: A friend of mine told me about it, I checked out the Wiki and fell in love :) Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? I will after I can objectively grade the server based on my own experience. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: xlaw (display name - Kraeugolnikov) In-Character: Character Name: Kray von Schwarzen What is your Race?: Human Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Kray von Schwarz is a rare individual. His face is always covered by the shade of his long black robe, and is, it is said, covered in scars from the many battles he has had with wild animals. No one knows exactly where was he born, for many remember him since the day they first saw the light, wandering through their home villages and asking for a coin or a piece of old bread. But the wanderer has decided to settle, at least for some time, somewhere in the woods of the South. Some say they have heard of mercenaries riding into those lands to join a mighty army. Others say it's all lies. The truth is, that the journey that Kray had started from the first years of his life, as a street urchin following the death of his parents, has come to an end. He feels now the need to have a place to go and, strangely, huge, almost maniatic, political aspirations, for during his travels he has learned the secrets of persuasion and justice. In a land far away, South of the southernmost Oren outpost, the twin towers of Daemon and Aemon, in the darkest of all caves, Kray met a tinkerer once. He was a man who hid in the shadows so that his face and the color of his skin would go unknown. His voice sounded as that of an Orc, but his manner of speaking was closer to an Elf. They talked for a long time. For three days and two nights they did not sleep. The mystic told Kray the secrets of blacksmithing and alchemy and revealed that his face would never again see the light of the day because of an accident he had before learning what he knew. Those secrets, he said, must never be revealed to any living creature, but one inheriter that should be chosen by Kray when he feels the spirit of Iblees will come for his soul soon. Now that Kray has decided to settle, he can start practicing and achieving masterdom and thus struggle to become the greatest of alchemists in the land of Asulon. Age - 47 Personality - silent and respectful. He does not talk unless it is needed. Your characters ambitions: To earn, to rule and to conquer. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Kray runs up to the scene shouting maniacally to try and scare the bandits off. In case the bandits don't run, he has already raised his wooden staff. Indeed, the bandits are not fully intimidated by the stranger. While the first one keeps fighting off the elf's sword, the second one turns around to block Kray's blow to his face. They fight for a while, blocking each others weapons, until Kray finally hits the bandit in the head. The bandit falls to the ground, stunned. The elf says "Thank you, my friend. I could not have beaten them both without your help." when the first bandit falls down after a powerful kick in the back. Today Kray helps a stranger and tomorrow that stranger's a friend. Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? ((OOC: IMHO you should change the phrasing of this question in the template to something like "write a scene on the subject", because I personally thought this was being asked just to see how are my dialogues in roleplay:))) "Greetings to you, merchant. What goods do you offer the cheapest today?" "Quick! Come with me! You must help me!". Buyer and seller run down into an alley just a couple of feet away. Kray sees a woman in the end of the alley and before he can ask anything, someone puts a bag on his head and hits him unconscious. When he opens his eyes, Kray is tied down to a chair in some sort of basement. A rat is biting into a piece of rotten meat in the corner. The woman stands in front of him, with a slight smile on her face. "You look like an old man, and old men have families. I want yours to pay me for your life", she says. Kray stays silent, looking her straight into the eye. "I am talking to you, stranger. Won't you answer to a lady?". Kray von Schwarz swallows and says: "In my hometown we used to recgnize women like you for their distinct smell. The smell of rotting dog flesh after the nightfall arrived. You will not get anything from me, so better just kill me right now". The woman starts hitting Kray until he falls into unconsciousness once again. When he, at last, opens his eyes, he hears the sound of the door breaking down, shouts, and swords hitting each other in a fierce battle. He knows he will be incidentally rescued by the Guard of Renatus. Kray closes his eyes again. Of all the roleplaying servers I have found on the internet until now, this one definitely looks the most elaborate. Cheers:) ))
