Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: My name is George and I like gaming. I have a nice character which means I am not mean to other people,don't "flame" and stuff like that. I am kinda funny and don't mess around and I also like knowing new people.I make good friends and I am a good friend. I also like playing basketball.
How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Depending on my homework and after-school classes I could be on for 5+ hours weekly,usually after 9 o'clock at night.
What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:Truth is I haven't tried Minecraft RP very much.I really want to learn about it because from what I have generally read and from what I read in the forums here, this server is really good. I have played many other RP games and know the basic drill.Also, I am a fast learner so expect me to learn what to do at your server fast and I certainly obey the rules.I have played for much time Garry's Mod on an RP server and it was very nice.
RP to me : When you make a background story for yourself,create an imaginary character and get into a game with many other people who have done the same thing. You act like if you truly were the character you created and tell your story to others. It is like you enter another world in which you are the character you created and your self-ego is replaced by your character's.You also have a pre-determined lore of the world your character is gonna live in,which is determined by the server's preferences and which affects the history of your character.
In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.
Metagaming is like cheating in a less "cheating" way. It means that when you play a game you use information about that game gained from outside-of-the-game factors that usually put you in a more advanced place in the game you are playing giving you an advantage over the others playing that game.When talking about RP,it is when you learn stuff that you couldn't possibly learn with your character that you are roleplaying thus making you know things that other players may never learn if they dont metagame too. In my opinion this should not be allowed on an RP server cause it ruins the theme and the whole idea of RP'ing.
An example: In the server I played in GMod there was a rule that when/if you die your character's knowledge resets.Meaning that if i died right now,when I would respawn I would be prohibited to yell or investigate the people who killed me,because I wouldnt possibly be able to know who killed me because after I have died my character's mind would reset.
Powergaming:I think powergaming should be prohibited on servers. It makes one's character to get the edge over the others.It means that you state that your character does stuff with another character,which for them to happen the other character must accept and go along with it, but you don't ask anyone and you just do it because you can. It is like being a god on the game.It is often used by players who can't do things by themselves.
What do you expect this server will be like?: A good RP server.Well polished,with a nice selection of players since there is an application form for them to submit first,with friendly admins who are willing to help new players learn the basics,and in general a friendly and nice community.
What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played in a lot of servers much time ago thus I cannot state them all. But i remember another RP one in which you got to choose a class and level up while building houses mining and the other things you do at Survival.I didnt leave any of them because I really liked the servers I played. I just stopped playing minecraft completely.
Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:Yes I am totally agreed with the rules that go by in this server. I also am glad to see that griefing.both player’s and world content, is a bannable act because in other servers griefers would only get warned.
How did you hear about us?: I searched in the Top 10 Minecraft servers site and though you were at number 6 the main idea of LotC seemed intriguing to me.

Character Name: Tyrael Newgate
What is your Race?: Human
Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Tyrael’s parents,Nora and Jonathan Newgate, met under weird conditions. After Aegis was destroyed,they both survived and met while working on making boats to sail away towards Asulon.They knew that they were perfect for each other on first sight.2 years after having discovered the unknown land named Asulon and having settled down they conceived Tyrael. The family was neither poor nor rich. They would go by and provide the basics to their child but couldn’t satisfy all their needs just by farming.That was when Joanthan decided to practice lumberjacking. While Tyrael was growing up Nora would show him the ways of farming but Tyrael just wasn’t meant to be a farmer.He self-consciously asked Jonathan to show him how to cut trees in the best way.Tyrael turned out to be an exceptional lumberjacker,surpassing his father’s skills.
Then,while Tyrael was at his 15 years,on a sunny morning while he and his father were away gathering wood,bandits attacked the farm they were living. They destroyed all the plantations,did much damage on the house and killed Nora who was farming at that time.Hearing the screams she made,Tyrael and Jonathan ran towards their household to see what happened.When they arrived they saw some townsfolk around their stone fence and a doctor inside holding Nora. Tyrael burst into tears when he realized that his mother was dead and Jonathan was depressed for 2 months.
After 4 years when they finally repaired the last of the house and stood on their feet again,times were hard. Money wasn’t enough and living there was hard. Jonathan thought that it would be good if he taught Tyrael the ways of swordsmanship. Tyrael practiced day and night and would want to win every duel,that was his goal.He became very good while not exceptional.Then Jonathan decided to tell Tyrael that it was time for him to go and experience the outside world. Tyrael then became an adventurer. Him being good at gathering wood and knowing the basics of farming,only thing that he had left from his mother,he established a cosy home and stayed there while constantly going on adventures like seeking people who were referenced on WANTED! Posters.That way he made money with which he could repair his equipment and eat. He then moved in a nearby town named Arethor.There ,at first he was staying on the Slums.He quickly got reknowed for his skills at bandit-hunting and lumberjacking.Tyrael lived a good life after that but he certainly did keep all his hobbies and he did them a lot.He made life long friends from a variety of cities and kingdoms,while he was at the age of 25.After some years of settling down though,a dilemma would grow in his head,whether or not to go adventuring again.With the murder of his mum still in his mind he would think that it was time for him to find her murderers.
With him having gone through all these in his past Tyrael developed a unique personality.He would be always joyful,hiding the pain he had suffered because he wouldn’t want to talk about his past.He would never be pessimistic about the dangers in the world and would only see a bright future ahead.When assigned to work,he would be responsible and not lazy and would put his best to make it happen.He likes reasonable people and has reason himself.He would make many friends and people would like him for his popularity and his character. However,having his life scarred by the murder of his mother some years ago,a fact that wouldn’t get out of his mind,whenever he saw bandits he would berserk and lose his sense while always attempting to kill them,at all costs.He wanted revenge but that revenge would be unquenching.Whenever he heard of bandits he would become angry and sad because he would remember what happened.
With his experience in lumberjacking and swordsmanship,he is very comfortable wielding a sword or an axe and effective too.He also has potential in blacksmithing because he likes the process of crafting weapons despite his father never finding time to teach him in the ways of a smither.
Tyrael has blonde long hair and blue eyes. He is tall and muscular because of all the jobs he was assigned.He also has some minor scars from the fights he has been through.He wears clothes that allow him to feel free and that make him able to perform every movement whilst providing some armor.He also wears a hoodie at all times because that makes him feel intimidating.
Lastly,Tyrael developed some weaknesses through all these years of struggling and adventuring.Despite him being a very good swordsman he isn’t really able to dodge archer’s attacks and is often vulnerable at arrows.Also he cant fish with ease because of his lack of patience.In addition,in his early years his family would not let him read or see anything about magic.They said that magic”Reminds me of the destruction of Aegis,of the undead and the terrible creatures”and the conversation would end there thus meaning that Tyrael would never even try to practice the magic school.Last but not least, because of his big body he finds it hard to hide in the shadows while sometimes he might succeed.
After a couple of years,Tyrael decided to leave his good life back and become an Adventurer again.
Your characters ambitions:His ambitions would be to finally find his mother’s murderers however impossible that would may seem to him. Also he would want to be a very good lumberjacker,better than he already was and contribute as much to the community and himself.He would want to have a good life full of action adventure and friends. Also,a very big ambition of his would be to increase his reputation in the city of Arethor so that he finally would become a middle class citizen and leave the slums. He would also want to make much money so that he could satisfy his needs and support his ambitions. He would want to establish a good house so he could have the life he wanted.He also wants to learn how to be a blacksmither because from times to times people told him that he would make a good smither.
Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? While in the shadows he remember his father’s quotes,telling that humans and elves were always best friends.Then he also remembers the event with the bandits and his mother.He realizes that in order to avenge his mother he had to kill these two.
He makes a distraction by cutting off a stick from a nearby tree and snapping it.Then the bandits come over to his place full of query ,forgetting about the elf who whilst injured could still put up a fight.Tyrael then jumps out of the brushes,draws his sword and starts fighting.He struggles at combat with two opponents,and the elf realizes that.He gets up and picks his bow from the ground and draws an arrow.Then he signals to Tyrael his plan.Tyrael understands and starts walking away while fighting,because the elf didn’t have a clear shot on any of the bandits because of the trees.When Tyrael finally gets the bandits out of the trees the elf loses no time and fires his arrow at the first bandit which pierces through his upper back and kills him instantly. Then the elf collapses unconscious. Tyrael continues the fight and remember every tip given by his father on sword fighting.Then he finally finds an opening in the bandits defenses and with an acrobatic move that even his father would be amazed he chops the bandit’s head off.Having realized that the cottage near them was totally empty and its sole purpose was to plan set ups,he runs immediately to the injured elf,places him in his back and starts walking towards the city where he could hand him in the hands of a doctor.When the elf finally gets better and them two both being at the city of Arethor he thanks Tyrael and tells him that he should be going.He also says that his name was Barhador.Tyrael understands but makes the elf promise that they would meet again.The elf nods and makes a smile and then starts walking towards the exit and towards Elandriel,his town.
Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? Tyrael was walking for days when he found this market.He wanted to find some food to eat.He also realized that he was near Elandriel,the capital city of the elves.
Tyrael always was a bit cautious. Noticing the empty and quiet environment around him he gets ready for a possible set up or for a possible surprise. “Hello sir. I would like you to sell me your most expensive item because I have gained so much gold in the past days and I don’t know how to spend them”, he lies to the owner,just to see his reaction. He notices the man’s body movements and sees his eyes spark as he hears the word “gold”.The shop owner makes a smile and starts shouting some words that wouldn’t make sense in a sentence. Then a loud noise is heard and from the inside of some crates that were supposed to hold the food Tyrael would buy and 6 bandits come out including the shop owner who draws a butterfly knife and points it at Tyrael. When tyrael realized that he was surrounded he started thinking of the possibility that he would die there. But.luck was on his side and fate didn’t want him to die that day. Through the entrance of that market,Tyrael notices a common silhouette running towards him with two others beside. As they get closer he realizes they are elves and after a few seconds he recognizes one of them.It was the elf which he had helped and given him first aid.It was Barhador and he was there to help him! They start the fight .Barhador and his one elf friend stand back and provide support with their arrows killing 3 of the bandits. The other elf draws the attention of the other 2 bandits.He kills one of them but the other bandit with a swift move cuts the elf really hard making him unable to fight.Barhador then fires arrows at that bandit and pins him down,covered in blood.Tyrael focuses on the shop owner who after seeing what happened in a matter of seconds starts panicking and seeks for reason in Tyrael’s mind. Tyrael would love to stop the fight but that man was a bandit and he just couldn’t resist.He kills him in his place and goes back to the elves where they tend the injured elf and then start talking about the experiences they had in the time of their absence. That was the starting of a good friendship.
