Give a definition of what it means to you.: Roleplaying basically is the act of acting as another, from another time period, and understand, and think with their point of view. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming is the use of out-of-game information or resources to affect one's in-game decisions,or any out of character action made by a player's character which makes use of knowledge that the character is not meant to be aware of. (Metagaming while taking part in relatively competitive games, or those with a more serious tone, is typically not well received, because a character played by a metagamer does not act in a way that reflects the character's in-game experiences and back-story.) and Powergaming, in Role Play, is making one's character as powerful as possible What do you expect this server will be like?: Wonderful would be an understatement. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Aether In-Character: Aether Character Name: Aether What is your Race?: Dwarf Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): As Aether grew alongside the mines, he wished nothing more but to finally be a great miner, but with respect. As a child, he grew to enjoy spending time in caves, exploring, always with pickaxe in hand, just in case if he ever finds but a glimpse of any ore. As a young teenager, he started to work at a local mine, within the kingdom, searching for common ore, such as iron, coal, and stone, when needed for building. One day, at his small mine where he worked in the kingdom, Aether found 5 diamonds, and gave them to a poor family, within the kingdom. And from that small experience, he wishes nothing more but to help others. His appearance, is, brown hair, dark brown eyes, an unshaven beard,Two" torso belts", per say, and a paler skin. His personality, is, he enjoys others company, when on quests, but when building, whether it be to his home, or other, he rarely needs to depend on others help. He is a "Penny Pincher", but to a friend, always glad to help them, when in times of trouble/need. Your characters ambitions: To start from the ground up, work his way up through the ranks, from a peasant, and maybe one day, be a Noble, and have respect within his kingdom. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?: Try to go a longer route, and let the three settle their disagreement, unless a bandit sees me, and runs after me. Whilst the theif comes towards me, I arm my sword, and try to kill the two bandits. If the Elf and I win the battle, I'd offer the Elf what food I have to spare, and ask, "What was the reason they troubled you? Did they give you any pain?" Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?: "Good day, shopkeep. I am about to venture into the Wilds. In your idea, what should I purchase to aid me?" As a child, he grew to enjoy spending time in caves, exploring, always with pickaxe in hand, just in case if he ever finds but a glimpse of any ore. As a young teenager, he started to work at a local mine, within the kingdom, searching for common ore, such as iron, coal, and stone, when needed for building. But, he gained his local authoriety as a "Great Miner" when he ventured into the mines, and brought back 15 diamonds, and 50 gold, in only an hour's time. Once, when venturing deep into the local mine, after going down so deep, Aether discovered a large, cold tunnel. As he ran down the tunnel, afraid of what might come out, he followed a light. Whence reaching the heart of the light, he hid behind a rock, hearing voices, but once taking a glimpse, he seen what was only described as a Dwarven myth, and nightmare. An old Dwarf mineshaft, now inhabited by the Dwarf's enemies, Orcs. It was nothing more than Hell, filled with Lava, bedrock, and never ending halls. Alas, it had Diamonds, Gold, and many, many other ores. Aether's first instinct was the sneak past, gather as much as he could, and escape, but he knew it would be too risky. He ran as quick as he could back to the village, brought it to the King, and all the Lords, where Aether led a group of scouts to show them this horror. Brought to the Kings attention, The King then told Aether, and many of the Dwarven soldiers to flood the place with lava. Destorying the ore, yes, but saving the lives of hundreds, thousands, all in the Kingdom. Aether was known as a hero, and written in the scrolls of History for ages to remember. But, now that he old enough to go on his own, he is out of his parents' home, he sets out to find himself, discovering. Saving the lives of dwarves, and helping the land or Aegis just a tad more than it's already, wonderful beauty. His appearance, is, brown hair, dark brown eyes, an unshaven beard,Two torso belts, per say, and a paler skin. His personality, is, he enjoys others company, when on quests, but when building, whether it be to his home, or other, he rarely needs to depend on others help. What does your character do?: As Aether runs to the altercation, he asks what the issue may be, to settle the fight to a more peaceful term. If the Elf killed one of the Bandits, and has to pay a fine, or give the bandits an item, I'd help out the Elf, make his easier, giving the bandits some sort of ore. If it is just a mugging, I join with the Elf, Killing the two Bandits, and asking the Elf if everything is fine, if he is hurt, whether he needs food, whatever the case may be. Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?: To reply to the man at first, "Hello, what do you have to offer me, today?" Depending on what the shopkeep has, I might help the man out, buy something small, just to help out his life some. His appearance, is, brown hair, dark brown eyes, an unshaven beard, darker coloured armour, and a paler skin. His personality, is, he enjoys others company, when on quests, but when building, whether it be to his home, or other, he rarely needs to depend on others help. He is a "Penny Pincher", but to a friend, always glad to help them, when in times of trouble/need.
