Give a definition of what it means to you.: I have been on a small role play server, and have seen videos on youtube of people roleplaying in minecraft. To me roleplaying means to put yourself in the character's perspective, be it one you or someone else has created. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming is when you use information you learned that was (ooc) and use it as something you know in-character. Powergaming is when a character is giving himself/herself an unfair advantage by stating that he/she won a battle or roleplay/game event with another without giving the other player a say in the events. For example, if I was to say "Ehlana captures Amra", that would be powergaming. The proper way to go about it would be to say "Ehlana attempts to grab Amra", This gives 'Amra' a chance to roleplay a reaction. What do you expect this server will be like?: I have watched let's plays with my boyfriend of your server and I am very impressed with the community working together. I was able to see a lot of the Elven race which I plan to become a part of. I am hoping to be able to enjoy roleplay with people who know how to roleplay. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Ehlana In-Character: Character Name: Ehlana What is your Race?: Elf Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Ehlana is an adventurous, loving, elf. She is 5ft 10, with long dark hair and green eyes, aged at 150 years. While wandering the deep forest 20 years back she came across a human father hunting with his son in the woods. Ehlana didn't know it then but in 7 years when the son had became a young adult, they would meet again. 7 years later Ehlana had wandered off in the forest on a cold winter day and startled a man she vaguely recognized. It was the boy from the forest, but he has matured into a young man, a few inches taller than her. There was something about him that made her heart flutter, as she moved closer for an introduction. He called himself Amra and he was now 17 years old and she was 137. She had never felt the feelings she had with any of the elves her age, but this human, he was just the type of person she wanted to partner with. They talked all through the night in his cabin by the fire. The next morning she arose with Amra's arm caressing her shoulder. They looked into each other's eyes and Ehlana gave him a quick kiss and said "I will meet you tonight, I owe my family an explanation" Ehlana rushed home to her family who were waiting on her return. She explained that she spent the night with another, but couldn't admit yet that he was human. Her mother demanded that she is able to meet this mate of hers and decide whether he is a good match for her daughter. Ehlana promised to bring him the next night, and finally admitted he was not of Elven race, and quickly followed with, "he's human". Later that night she was taking a slightly different path that was the most direct route to Amra's cabin. Meanwhile, Amra was in the cabin cooking some steak in the furnace for them to enjoy when she got there. As Ehlana could just see the light from his cabin window, she heard a noise behind her and turned quickly while still moving forward. She let out a quick yell as she fell to the bottom of a hole 20 feet deep. She shouted out "Amra... AMRA!!" She then heard the cabin door slam as he walked toward the hole she fell in. She heard him call out "Ehlana...where are you?" She shouted out "I'm here!...I fell in this hole!" She looked up to see his face looking down on her, he rushed back to the cabin to grab a shovel and dig her out of the hole. They walked arm in arm back to the cabin, where she would tell him what her family said. Amra said why wait till tomorrow, lets go tonight! Ehlana knew that it was late enough that the forest would be filled with monsters of the night. Despite the danger, they knew that they would make it together. So he made 2 new stone swords and they headed toward her village through the forest. They started out very strong fighting there way through, but when they were separated for a split second, one came up right behind Ehlana and just as she realized a zombie was behind her she turned only in time to see Amra's blade slice through the zombie's neck. They hugged each other in relief as they saw her Village was just a little ways ahead of them. Her parents were still awake when Ehlana knocked on the front door. The mother smiled at Amra, and said "It's nice to meet you so soon, I can see you are very serious about my daughter." Her father contributed "Yes, so it seems, I would like to have a talk with him before I'm satisfied with him." So Ehlana and her mother continue inside the house and her father and mate walk towards the pond to have a private conversation. Ehlana's mother makes Ehlana promise to be careful, for the land of Aegis can be a dangerous place. When Ehlana meets with Amra again he seemed to have a grin on his face, and her father tells her they are free to go and he blesses their relationship. They decide to spend one last night in her village and they would head off to their home tomorrow. 5 years later Ehlana was living with her husband, Amra, they had a normal life. She would spend her days working on the farm and tending to her animals and home, and her Amra would come home with enough food to feed them for a few days. Ehlana dreaded war because she knew a day would come and her Amra would be taken away to fight for the King. Ehlana watched him in the mornings before going off for his daily work he would make an axe, a pickaxe, a sword, and a shovel to bring with him, and he would make a hoe for her. Ehlana watched carefully and tried her best to remember how he made the tools. Two Years later. The day had come and Amra was needed for war. Ehlana made him promise to come home to her, and so he gave her his word. The war had destroyed Aegis and she was separated from her family in the struggle to find new grounds. She heard news that her Amra was said to have died in battle. She refused to believe this was true and planned to journey towards Asulon, where she hopes to find her beloved Amra. She made a trip back to her cabin that she was living in with Amra and managed to make a sword, axe, and pickaxe to bring with her on her journey. She journeyed for years with no sign of him, and knew she would need help to find him. She started making signs with hopes that somebody would have seen him and lead her to him. Your characters ambitions: Ehlana wanders the world meeting new faces and sharing her only true goal, to find Amra. She hasn't had any luck so far, no one has heard of "Amra". Someday when Ehlana and Amra are reunited she hopes they can go back to their normal life together and make a new farm with all kinds of animals. She is friendly to all those she meets however also timid around new people, until she feels she can trust them. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? If Ehlana saw an elf struggling in combat with a couple bandits she would first climb up to the safety of a tree. Then she would shout out to distract them, while still not revealing her location. Then as they turn away she would begin to attack with what ever she had available, be it snow balls, or the preferred arrows. When the bandits charge at her which would be the plan, she would switch to her sword and finish off the bandits. Ehlana will risk her life for any elf or human she finds that could possibly be one of her family or her beloved Amra. Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? Ehlana would respond with "And good day to you, sir", "What do you have for sale? I'm willing to make fair trades." Then Ehlana would ask "Is there something you are interested in buying from me?" Then she would ask "Have you heard of a man named "Amra" he should be 30 years old now?...He was in the war...You see, I'm his wife and I've been searching for him for 5 years now." Ehlana excuses herself as tears well in her eyes. She has a hard time talking about him because she is struggling not to lose hope that she can find him. In another scenario where Ehlana is not "emotionally unstable" XD , she would ask the shopkeeper about the wanderers that he has seen.
