Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: Nicharathas How old are you?: 13 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: U.S. Eastern Standard Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a 9th grader who loves Minecraft. When I grow up I want to be an architect. I have a dog, and spend most of my time on the computer. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: 20-25 hours What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is a lot like acting. You have to become a new person entirely. You have to transform yourself something else entirely. It requires lots of research. You must be able to act like you have lived your entire life like the character you are role-playing. You must always be in character. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I have played Dungeons and Dragons a little. My main experience is that I am an actor. I have been in many productions. Acting is one of my favorite things, and I do it all the time. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta gaming is when you use information from outside the game to affect how you play the game. For example, if you decide whether you should go into a cave or not, googling it to see what is inside is meta-gaming. It isn't actual role playing because the information you gathered isn't anything your character would know. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: Power-Emoting is when you force other players to do something. For ecxmple, if you walked up to someone and said, "I just stole 1000 gold from you," and walk away, that is Power-Emoting. It doesn't give the other person time to react. What do you expect this server will be like?: I think this server will be a great mix of acting and Minecraft. I will use my Minecraft skills to gather resources, and then I will use those resources to make an interesting character. I will do a lot more interacting with other players than on most servers. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I played on Killion Detention Center and Pawncraft, both for a very long time. I played on Killion with many of my friends, and then Killion became way overcrowded, and super laggy. Pawncraft wasn't a great server, and I didn't know much about servers at the time. My favorite servers are definitely themed ones, and Pawncraft was very plain. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: Yes How did you hear about us?: I have seen your banner on the forums a lot, and while I was server searching, I decided to check it out. Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: I have applied before, but it was over three months ago, and I can't find my applications. In-Character: Character Name: Eldror Moonstalker What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) : Elf What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Dark Elf Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Eldror had a difficult childhood. His father was a member of the town guard, and he was the youngest of five boys. All of his brothers amused themselves with wrestling around the house, climbing trees, sparring, or practicing archery. While his brothers would be out playing, Eldror would amuse himself with his blocks. By the time he was 20, he had build himself a small house where he could flee his now very dangerous brothers. Eldror's father thought that as Eldror became a man, he would realize that playing builder is stupid, and that fighting, and building strength is what real men do. But at Eldror became older and more secluded, his father became harsher and more stubborn. Eldror's only support was his loving mother, who found it in her heart to love both him and his rambunctious brothers. But, whenever his mother came to his aid, Eldror's father would beat her relentlessly. Eldror still has nightmares about it. Eldror's mother was very religious. She would constantly lecture her children about the greatness of Valulei. Eldror's brothers shrugged her off, but Eldror would listen to his mother endlessly talk about Valulei. She always wished someday that Eldror would build a great temple in dedication to his mother. She would tell Eldror that his brothers will never make a change that lasts forever, but a building, that can do real and permanent good. By the time Eldror was 30, all of his brothers had joined the watch. His father had forced Eldror into it, but Eldror would always hide when the call came. One night, after a long shift, Eldror's father and brothers came home. Eldrors father advanced upon Eldror. "You have skipped your duty for the last time, boy." And drew his sword. In an act of bravery, Eldror's mother threw herself infront of her son. The sword pierced her heart. Eldror couldn't belive his eyes. His mothers blood covered his hands. His father began to advance upon him. Eldror ran for his life. His father did not chase him far, as it was a cold night. Eldror spent the night with friends of him mother. The next day, he made a decision. He built a small house with the little money he had, and started a new life for himself. Now he is 50, and has a fine life. He likes to travel the world, looking for interesting bits and pieces. Now, he is a tall, 6'9", light grey skinned Dark Elf with long black hair. He is shy at first, but once you get to know him, he will open up to you. He mistrusts most strangers, but he will do business with anyone. He just wants to build. What are your Character's ambitions?: To build a temple for Valulei that would make his mother proud. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): A pickaxe because he can mine up interesting building materials. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Building A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format, if you do not know how to acquire one, copy and paste this link into your browser: ( http://tinyurl.com/Lotcscreenshot ): Other Information about your Character: He admires the aesthetic of the Dark Elves, and loves to construct buildings in their style. Open-Response-Questions Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP. Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? If a halfling is having problems, they do not concern me, and I walk by without concern. The halfling can deal with his own problems. I am no match for two fully armed warriors, I am just a traveller with little fighting knowledge or experience. Let alone my gear, which is of the worst quality. In the end I would just make the situation worse for both me and the halfling. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? "I am in the market for some obsidian. It is very rare where I come from. Do you happen to have any? I can't tell you if I have sufficient coin for your wares, but if we can work out an arrangent, I will be more than happy to do business with you. I am constructing a large household that is mainly constructed of stone brick with obsidian accents. They provide a beautiful contrast to the stone." Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: "Hello? Who goes there?" I wait for a response. There is no noise from inside. I advance slowly and cautiously, with my sword drawn. I suspect a booby trap laid out for an unsuspecting traveler like myself. I look for another entrance, but the only one is a small window. Not wanting to get myself in trouble with bandits and thieves, I walk away, leaving the chest for someone more brave than I. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? "What do you sell here in this trading camp. I am ravished of hunger and thirst." I look for a food vendor, and buy some dried meat to settle my stomach. I ask the vendor who the leader of the camp is, and follow him there. The leader greets me warmly. "Welcome Dark Elf to out camp. "Hello, I would like to know if you could help me find my way to the nearest sea port. I got turned around some miles back." I follow the directions he gives me with a full belly. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: I offer my assistance, warning them that my fighting skills are not very developed. I can always use the coin they give me, even if I am not much of a help. My presence may add to the guard's numbers, and aid in scaring the bandits. I don't like evil, but I am not the one to combat it. I will always provide aid to those with the strength to fight, but I am not one of them. Anything else you would like to say?: I want to be an architect when I grow up, so this role will be fun for me to play. I may not understand all the workings of the world, but I would like to understand them more, and immerse myself in this intricate web of people.

I am sorry I didn't see the new format on these forums. Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: Nicharathas How old are you?: 13 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: U.S.A. EST Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I would say I do have a good grip on the english language. I use shortened form of words on servers due to the fact it is faster, but I understand an elf would not say "lol". Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am an 8th grader with a dog. I play the piano and love minecraft. I am smart and nerdy. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: 3-4 hours each weekday. 8-12 hours each weekend. I may have temporary conflicts, but these are my average times. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is essentially acting. I know that on a server, you have to talk, move, and fight like the character you are portraying. You can't ever break character on a roleplaying server because it messes up the entire atmosphere. Also, in roleplaying you need to take cues. If someone walks up to you and says, "Hand over all of your money" you can't say "Would you like to buy a pick?" Denying someone else's reality just messes up the entire feeling that makes roleplaying great. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I am an actor. I have been the lead in many of our school's plays, so I know about roleplaying in that sense. While I played World Of Warcraft, I tried out a couple of roleplaying servers, and they were very fun. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Metagaming is when you use information that your in-game character doesn't know, but you learned in real life to benefit your character. For example, if my charter was in a desert, and I found online that an orc village was nearby, and I went to the village, it would be Metagaming. It messes up roleplaying. yoau should have to discover the village. If you discover it, you get a feeling of satisfaction, and you don't mess up the server for everyone else. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Powergaming is when you come up with things that your character can do, or does on the spot. For example, if you walk up to someone, and you say "You are my slave, because I have this wood axe," is power gaming. It is like denying someone's reality, and it also messes up the experience for everyone. What do you expect this server will be like?: I think that this server will be like a mix of World Of Warcraft and Minecraft. I left World Of Warcraft because I didn't like Blizzard making all of my decisions. And even with certain decisions that should have been left to me, if I made the "wrong" choice, my skill level decreased. I do miss being able to complete great quests, and slay crowds of people like I could in World Of Warcraft. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I played on Pawncraft for a bit. I left it for one of my friend's private sever. I have played on many private servers owned by me and my friends. They were all boring, and collapsed within a week of being created. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have read all rules, and they seem fair. I don't know what a soulstone is, but I am sure to catch on. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I will always abide by these laws, and if I question whether something is legal, I will not hesitate to ask. How did you hear about us?: I saw you on many websites that have lots of big servers. I finally decided to click. Your logo and name always stuck out. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?: I voted on Minecraftservers.net because that is what the link on minecraft forums lead me to. In-Character: Character Name: Nicharathas Eldonwyrm What Race are you?: Elf What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Wood Elf Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): I am 7 feet tall. I have a handsome, long face. My hair is a light brown, and goes down to my shoulders. I am 127 years old. I am very outgoing. I love all races, and am eager to meet new people. I am a hater of evil and criminals. I will not hesitate to help a beggar or someone in trouble if I can. I am a traveling bard. I love to play the lute. I travel from inn to inn, playing for the crowds. It is a good life, and the money isn't bad. When I pluck my fingers on my beloved lute, kings from the world around stop and listen to my music. My mother was a famous bard. I always loved it when she played for me as a baby. One day, when I was 75, she went on a trip. I was accustomed to these. They generally took a week. After two weeks had passed, me and my sister became very worried. Our father was a terrible man. He was abusive to us and our mother. Whenever she left, he always wasted the money she earned on drink at the pub. After a month of his daily beatings, me and my sister escaped. We had been searching for my mother for a year, surviving by taking up her trade and performing for food. I lost my sister in the middle of the forest after ten year of searching for my mother. I still vowed to continue on my quest. I still play from inn to inn, and manage to continue migrating from place to place in search of my mother. I have found clues, but that is the most. I fear she may be dead. For now, I continue searching for her. I have become a man in the process. I am acquainted with basic arms. I am not a warrior, but I am prepared to shead blood if I ever encounter my mother. What is your Character's ambitions?: To find my mother, slay her captures, and become as famous a bard as she. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Bow What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Singing A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): (I am sorry it is so small, but the picture had to be under 27 Kb.) Other Information about your Character: I think I would use either a note block or a jukebox as my "lute" Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I would slowly creep behind a pillar. I would un-sheath my bow and arrows. I would pull back my bow and slay one of the poor boy's harassers. Then, I would charge on the next, and fight him with my sword. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? "Oh, just wondering around, looking at the shops. I love all of your wares. You know, I am playing tonight at the inn down the road, I hope to see you there. But I am in need of some food, do you happen to have any?" Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: I take everything in the chest. If it is an abandoned house, then no one will be missing the valuables. I probably need it for armor. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? "I just had the best haul today! I managed to steal 150 coins from a beggar!" If they respond with praise, I would leave immediately knowing this is a camp of robbers. If they respond with anger, I would tell them my strategy of deciphering whether people are good and evil. I would hope they would let em stay the night. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: I would immediately help the guard. I would do it even if there wasn't money involved. Battle narratives can be great songs. I also hate bandits, and protecting our towns from them is very important.

Out-Of-Character: Minecraft Account Name: Nicharathas Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: I did not attend minecon. I was not familiar witht he server at the time, but if I had seen in, I would have checked it out. I love the Lord Of The Rings. How old are you?: 13 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: The U.S. EST Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I do, I use shortened words on non-role playing servers, but I understand people in magical medival times would not say "lol". Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a smart (nerdy) 8th grader that loves minecraft. I live in Baltimore, Maryland and have a dog. I enjoyed World Of Warcraft for three years until I discovered minecraft. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: About 3 hours a day on weekdays, and 8 hours a day on weekends. Of course I have vacations and projects that could cut down on my time, but that is the general time frame I could be on. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: I know that roleplaying is pretending to be something, or someone that you are not. It is similar to acting, but you can never be out of character. The only backstage on a roleplaying server is when you log off. In roleplaying, you act, talk, and move like the character you are portraying. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming is when you use information you aren't supposed to know to benefit your character. For example, if I saw somewhere online that my character was near a castle and went to said castle, I would be Metagaming. It isn't true roleplaying because the character you are portraying doesn't know the information. Powergaming is when you force someone else into a roleplaying scenario in which they don't want to be in. For example, if I went up to someone and said, "We are getting married" without giving them a choice, it would be powergaming. It messes up roleplaying as well because it may not make any sense for that person to take part in the roleplaying with another character. What do you expect this server will be like?: I think that this server will be similar to World Of Warcraft and Minecraft, a balance I have been yearning for for the past year. I think that it will have a great community due to the white-listing aspect. I also think it will be a great place for me to gain friends. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on Pawncraft. I left it because one of my personal friends created a small server. I have played on multiple servers with just my friends, but they were all boring. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have read all rules. They seem quite fair, and roleplaying encouraging. I don't know what a soulstone is, but I am sure I will catch on soon. How did you hear about us?: I saw you on the websites that have popular servers many times, and I decided to click on it eventually. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? I didn't vote on mine status, but Minecraftservers.net because that was the link on the minecraft forums. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Nicharathas In-Character: Character Name: Nicharathas Eldonwyrm What is your Race?: Elf Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): I am an open young elf. I am 23. I am handsome, but not very strong. I am a peace-loving person. I love building things. Architecture is my specialty. My father was a great architect. I have always admired his work. He designed great palaces for elven kings. He always told me, "Nicharathas... someday, you will be just like me." After his unexpected death due to the plague, I was greatly saddened, and decided to dedicate my life to building beautiful structures. Your characters ambitions: To build a great palace that will last for the ages. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? I use what knowledge I have with a sword to aid the elf in defeating the bandits. As a fellow elf, I am willing to help him. If he was another race, I would help them too. Bandits are petty thieves. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? I am in need of some glowstone. It is a rarity in my lands. Do you happen to have any? It would fit perfectly with a house I am building! A screenshot of your skin: (See attachment) Other Information: (I assume this is out of charter) I hope to be an architect someday in real life, and I find Minecraft to be a great platform for my ideas.
