Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: MrHappyTinkles How old are you?: 15 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Hong Kong SAR GMT+8 hours Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes I do. English is my first language, and I am one of the main writers of my school newspaper. I occasionally have spelling/grammar "hiccups" however. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am artistically inclined, usually friendly, and optimistic. Despite my age, my peers often state that I'm a mature, easy-to-get-along person. I play lots of Minecraft, and have good experience with many servers, especially RP servers. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: To be honest, I'm not very sure. I'll probably be on often during the weekends, and sometimes during the week. The frequency of my visits will increase when I become more acquainted with the server. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is taking the role of a character. You take the character's personality and way of thinking into you, and you apply it to situations and events. Choosing a character is a commitment. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I've been on many a RP server, both on Minecraft and out. My first serious RP life started on WoW, on an RP server. I've also been a very active member on the Yogscast.com RPG server that was shut down in October. Currently, I'm on a semi-RP server run by a huge group of friends from the Yogscast RPG server. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: It is to use your out-of-game connections and relationships between real people to gain advantage over players. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: It is basically taking the role of an overpowered character that dominates others in a game, and goes as far as to fabricate abilities or powers to assert force over foes. For example, putting up a fake "safe zone" in a game of tag. What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect a rich, well-developed world filled with RP-eager players, beautiful builds, well-written lore, and strong companionships. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I've been an active player on the Yogiverse RPG server before it was taken down. It was a great server, but often flooded by exploiters, immature players, and hostile folk. Despite all the negative influence, I've managed to forge powerful friendships that have persisted through the closing of the server. Currently, I frequent a server populated by those friends, and we continue to live our character's lives in this semi-private server. I've also visited many other RP servers, but I cannot recall the names. I left most of them due to either bad moderation, bad communities, or grieving. As well as this, I've been an admin on a rather private RP server, and was head loremaster. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have read, understood, and agree to the said rules. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: Yes, I do. How did you hear about us?: Many users on the Yogscast forums and other communities have mentioned the Lord of the Craft. I also have 2 other friends who are also applying. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?: No, I have not. In-Character: Character Name: Tharik What Race are you?: Human What Sub-Race are you? Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Tharik would loot the contents of the chest, and quickly scrawl a note saying "Apologies, its already looted…". The ingots would be useful for practical uses, and the sword could be sword or used to defend himself. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Tharik would quickly assess the village's economic and military value, and proceed to respond: "Tidings, friends! I am but a wanderer, exhausted from travel and nothing in my belly. I'll be more than happy to pay for food and possibly a place to stay for the night." If the village proves untrustworthy, he would snoop around the outskirts of the town for possible scavenge, then leave.
