Roughly 8 years ago, I was part of a roleplaying forum. More recently I've experimented with Dungeons and Dragons. It sounded almost like going outside the bounds of the rules that have been set forth. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Once more, I wasn't entirely sure about what Power-gaming is. I had figured it was a very tunnel-visioned approach to gaming, having one goal, or a series of goals that are done in an extremely methodical manner. I was pleased to see when I looked it up that I was on the right track. I've not left any of them fully, but am looking for a more in-depth gaming experience. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes, I have. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I agree to all of the rules. (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): N/A Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): At a young age, my father taught me many things, hoping to help me find a true interest in something. Something I could pursue and improve upon. Few things truly caught my interest, and fewer still were something I could continue for the rest of my life. The two that really struck in me were the bow and puzzles. Puzzles of all varieties kept me entertained in so many of my early years, and when I wasn't further challenging myself with puzzles, I was training with my bow, endlessly trying to better myself. The puzzles however, opened up new interests in myself. They made me view the world in a more objective manner, seeing things as they are, and keeping a level head at all times. As I grew older, I started to explore and adventure more, often trying to get myself lost to see if I could get home again safely. Living on the outskirts of the forest made this difficult at times, since I would always go as far into the woods as I dared before turning around and finding my way home. Today, at the start of my 200th year, I start a new life. One full of exploration, learning, and understanding. Today I set forth to see the world. To see what is beyond the forest and experience everything the world has to offer. I start this day being very secretive of myself, however, for to me, one's identity is all he has, and to give that away is to give up one's life. Today I'm not taking on a new identity, but enhancing the identity I've forged throughout my years. Out of character: Ellavorn is a tall, muscular young elf with green eyes and long blonde hair, reaching halfway down his back. He wears a circlet given to him by his mother nearly all of the time, removing it only when absolutely forced to. He wears simple clothing made of a light cloth, green and brown in color. What is your Character's ambitions?: Ellavorn aspires to see as much as he can, to be at historical events, and live a life of learning. He want's to take up a profession, and live life as many others have before him. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Ellavorn's favorite tool by far is his bow. He also has a fondness for rope. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? He always keeps a cool, calm head. He calculates situations to find the most appropriate course of action. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): Other Information about your Character: I believe everything that needs to be said, has been said. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Ellavorn would attempt to confront the warriors (not hostily) and try to resolve the problem without any bloodshed, but if need be, would defend the halfling if things were to escalate. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? I'd like to see what you have available. I'm hoping to find something to catch my interest. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Depending on the condition of the hut (how long it appears to have been abandoned) take the iron, and if necessary, the sword. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? I would ask if they could spare food and shelter for the night, and explain that I would repay them in any way I could for their hospitality. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Depending on his mood, and whether or not he was already occupied with something, ask for a bit more information before offering his services.
