  1. From more 'higher' angle: As for coordinates, 're in charter info (can't miss) ;-)
  2. Welcome aboard Elizabeth, send me your ic name and any questions you have. _________________________________________________________________________ As for the most important thing: Sorry guys for my long absence in village life, have to say last fiew weeks with exams and stuff were rough and took too much of my life, never again  ... Still, now I have all the free time i want and I will be definitely spending it more on the game and our little village. _________________________________________________________________________ It's great to see that you guys kept thread alive, especially Grogos, gj. Me today _________________________________________________________________________ And for the accomodation. Here are the screenshots of the houses, make sure to pick the right one for you. Also I would like to see some rp ideas for who will live with whom (or maybe single) and your proffesions. Remember that it will depend only on you how the inside of your house will look (as long as it is historical that is,). ...now I will take my first full-time sleep for quite some time (can't remember when was a last time) see ya  _________________________________________________________________________ (Ah and also check out our regular battle equipment: The basic element -> Chainmail, with/ or without iron helmet. And of course some sword, axe and bow.
  3. Grogos have a point. I would love to build more variety of buildings, but we are still not big enough. Longhouse would be really usefull. Yet I say its a thing of the viking-like village. Each and every poor nord looking village have one. Having long house would definitly make our village less original.
  4. look in the chests, i found some stuff next to the moat.
  5. Dirt would be just fine if we could seperate it from any grass (so it would stay a dirt). I don't know what are the exact mechanics of that... As far as I know most of our members are from europe. That's right, everyone: Say when (more or less) you are in the village.
  6. Welcome friend in celtavs society  Would you like to live in the village? If so send me your ic name and some background about your character (it's optional  ).
  7. Bakery is a good idea, check if there will be enough place within the palisade for it, with all the future houses. I think path is no problem, still I don't know how to keep it the 'gaul' way - just dirt- Anybody got an idea? Anybody..?
  8. Work is going smoothly, If anyone has a questions: ask them here. (What is supposed to be done,etc...) Now is a time for houses inside,
  9. Thanks for the offer, we really appreciate it. But the charter is finally done, hope you will check it out. We got a little delay because of me, but everything is back in its trail.
  10. The final version of our settlement has been posted in: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/57143-vinr/ welcome!
  11. Thanks for the hard work guys, the charter is finished and posted in 'Wild Charters'. http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/57143-vinr/ Everybody sign in. finally done
  12. Click me for mood. VILLAGE CHARTER MC Name: Sheunhaa RP Name: Koriakix Village Name: Vinr LORE Koriakix opened his eyes, and raised from his knees. All of his joints were on fire but he never felt so light in his life. He muttered the last words of his prayer and turned to his follower. “These woods will be hard to clear,” Uamignatix said grimly to his chief. “Maybe we should look elsewhere?” Koriakix put a weary smile on his face and gestured at the hardened trees around them. “No, my friend. They will provide us a strong palisade and houses.” He studied the sky for the signs from gods. For a moment he thought about his responsibilities and the seed of doubt begun to grow. But then he saw it, a red bird of gods far, far in the sky. It appeared only for a blink of an eye, and he knew. “We are staying,” Chief said. Why are you/your character starting this village? What is its purpose? Vinr originates from the idea of Rarog Burgh http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/55016-rarog-burgh/ , a village strongly connected to the nature and worshipping of supernatural forces. The idea is not merely mine. It is a combined group effort of five individuals. An attempt to recreate the rich customs of Celtic and Slavic cultures. After many adventurous journeys, our characters found themselves in need of a place they could call home. Community based on warrior-hunter principles, with rich culture and folk religion. That led to the birth of Celtavs (a mix  , ain’t we smart), and the decision of choosing my character to become a chief of the new society. The time has come to find a place suitable for forthwith settling. My character wanders alongside his friends through the north wilderness, in the search for the right woods. As a chief he is nothing but an embodiment of our fellowship strong desire to form a settlement. [below lies the effort of all our members, and credit goes to them all too.] What type of political system is enforced in this town? Currently we have: Chieftain- Elected by all grown men of the village. He has a final word in every dispute or decision, except trials. Council of Warriors: the men of the village -When a chieftain dies, they elect a new one. -Trials: Only the "council" can decide sentences, this also includes banishing. The chieftain must submit to their verdicts, except if he is the subject of a trial. Then and only then, he can refuse to fulfill it. 2#.After the death of the previous chief, in most celtic and slavic cultures, the new one was elected by the elders of village. And so: Our village in future (with the gods and peoples help) will have a slightly different system: :ugeek: Council of Elders_____- holds responsible ->________Chief *Judical Branch*______________________________*executive branch* *Elects the Chief*_____________________________*+legislature* The council of Elders- All of players must play an old fellows. Its authorities will be exactly the same as ‘Council of Warriors’. Elder in our village isn't like noble. He must be experienced and smart, judge fairly no matter the case, but aside the esteem there is nothing more to show them. As for now we can’t have the “all geezers village”. What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.) Everything in culture. Where would you prefer the town’s region be, and how large? Including a screenshot of the land would be nice (of game or map). Location: x: -1015 z: -3145 Screenshots: Any other details (architecture, races, culture, etc): Race: We prefer only humans. It would be too hard to explain the presence of elves and dwarfs. But that doesn’t mean we dislike other races. They will still be welcomed in the village (if one stops by) but there will be that feeling of uneasiness among residents. Culture: People of Vinr are proud and courageous. Though they remain neutral to other factions, the great emphasis is placed on fighting abilities. The culture is oriented around warrior/hunter structure. Also there will be the possibility for an open trade with other countries and races. Still the people of Vinr will react with great suspicion to anyone who will approach their village. Once someone would enter the village and become a guest he will be treated with respect and hospitality as the tradition demands. (Grogos, Burgh_charter) The professions are traditional, like: hunters, smiths, fishmongers, etc. Everybody will be equal, the only thing that will be different is their position in village (some will be more useful or held in higher esteem). Whoever wants to read: Gender relations: We RP the status of women and men as equal, as it was in both cultures. Of course there is division of things that are feminine and manly. Like fighting was mainly for men and tailoring for women. Still it is possible for woman to gain fame and influence in a "men occupied” profession. So basically in our village women are on equal standings with men. The Attire (skins) Mixture of Slavic clothes and Celtic – anybody who wants can have a small portion of blue tattoos like Celts. Real life examples: Something between and or A mixture of Celts: and Slavs: Warriors more like Celts(tattoos required) Fiew of our skins: *Religion: There won’t be a stoic hierarchy of priests and other religious men. Only two religious roles will be held in the village: Druid (we will need a druid…) who will live in the hut near the circle of stones where once a year festival is carried. And the servant of Cichol (mysterious man in service of mysterious god) A quick peek to our gods: Language: The old Celtic and Slavic sounded like that: Gaulish: "In-sinde se—: bnanom bricto n,—eainom anuana sanander na:—brictom uidlaias uidli[..] tigontias so" Preslavian: „iskoni bě slovo i slovo bě i Boga u Bogъ bě slovo” So we will stick with old fashioned English, with a lot of poems. Example: Architecture: Architecture is based on Celts and Slavs homes. Meaning little stone and a lot of wood and dirt. Here are some samples: In the center of the village will be big round table with campfire for feasts like in the Asterix&Obelix. Grain fields, mill and mine will be on the suburbs outside of palisade (in the future), as for animals like cows and chickens – they will be inside. Pigs on the outside- Boars… Players who have agreed to sign this charter (5 name minimum): 1. Bism- Koriakix 2. Sacrevarius- Uamignatix 3. Grogos- Wit DiamondVip 4. Oseric Ivansen Cyrielle- Judoc Suibhne 5. Raphaelv2- 6. BriarMoss44 - Drust 7. Hannibal - Variathus 8. RixRip - Bradan (guys send me your ic names)
  13. Okay everyone, we've started rising up the village in the spot that sacrevarius found. Soon I will post a charter, after a little chat with grogos about his new vip. But I think we will simply pay in minas for it  . Yet whoever wants may join grogos and sacrevarius to help.
  14. I will gladly become a chief if everyone is okay with that. (write your thoughts please) and that's another thing: Since the passing of our friend (and probably another too) we have to make sure who is going to stay. 1.Me -yes
  15. Now here is what I hear from you: 1.Oddn please make up your mind fast, we wasted too much time. 2.Ayresalex since you decided to leave, please refrain from posting Subudai Recruitment Posters... Aside that we will always welcome your creative criticism on the thread. 3.About the Subudai: We agreed days ago that we will decide (by voting) to join Subudai AFTER <_< we plant our little village. (Which will most probable happen) (- joining Subudai I mean...) Seems fiew somebodies ;-) didn't hear it. As for the others, I think we should nevertheless proceed with building the multicultural village. Even if ours nords have run off... It's not like we will give up just because of such a trivial thing.
  16. Well... good luck. It's great... and all... Don't really know why you are writing it... but hey, take care
  17. [The last announcement.] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5zNK--DUDg&feature=fvsr  Play me for the atmosphere. "Hear ye, hear ye, Nords, Celts and Slavs! The gods deemed them worthy, ye shall too. They spoke oaths untold, Promised peace, Pledged their friendship, And no grudge to bear. No shall abuse a truce, Betray the trust, Bring Sawains fury, Nor silent Cichol wrath. As to what may hap to their fates, They care not. Respect thine elders, Thy fate in their laws!" ((The council of elders has been created: Grogos, Oddn, Sacrevarius. All of them agreed to play an old fellows. -guys send me your ic names so I can write them down in charter.- Remember that elder in our village isn't like noble. He must be experienced and smart, judge fairly no matter the case. And aside the esteem there is nothing more to show them!)) [for those that don't remember: Council of Elders_____- holds responsible ->________Chief *Judical Branch*______________________________*executive branch* *Elects the Chief*_____________________________*+legislature*
  18. Then it is Vinr. Charter will pop up tomorrow (got a big bad exam) be sure to sign it then! Now everyone work your asses off to gather more wood! now seriously: 1. build palisade 2. pier and main road 3. houses Do it in that order.
  19. Now everyone... So I can start working on final charter, please choose a name: 1.Heimdall 2.Venjā or Vinr 3.Winerica or Winetborg 4. ?Jomsburg? [send me a message if you have a new proposition and I will add it here] cheers , i'm off to drink :-D
  20. It's good but a little to much tattoos, and make it more "tribe" clothing, here are some examples: [rarog tribe girls  ]
  21. Sorry guys my bad... there is a minus. 4:65:-3786
  22. I agree, but: Mill, mine, round table, chief house- too soon. Wait for more people, then we will enlarge our palisade and then there will be enough place for all this.
  23. Great, ask them what culture they wanna be. Slavs or Nords, and explain all the other details (all in your hands  )
  24. First we make a palisade- just like the one sacrevarius did- follow the pattern. When it will be safe inside, we will start by main road from gate to the little harbour, Then after that we will build houses. In the meantime we will post a charter and make all the formalities (after we select a name so make your proposition ya all!)
