  1. the location is: 4:65:3786 awesome buildings ayresalex, we definitly will build this but after the village will get bigger... only 25:25 plot remember.
  2. I propose: Venjā= Proto-Celtic *or Vinr=Old Norse 'kinship, kinfolk, alliance, tribe, family'
  3. Love it , I think the floor should be normal dirt and ocasionally brown wool/ or other (fur) Also I started working on the palisade, anyone care to join me? We have structure of command, architecture, culture: We are Nords and Slavs, every member can decide his origin (but there is no divide between them) -also when we will post a charter write your ch a short bio (nothing big) next to 'sign up' which will state your ch origin. And all that is left is a name of village. Each and every citizen write your proposition for it. And then we will all vote for the best answer.
  4. Yeah, that looks like a good idea. Jomsborg was home of jomsvikings, the fiercest warriors in that times. We can try to widen that perspective... :ugeek:
  5. And to avoid the most common problem in the lordofthecraft, we will all be more or else equal (our proffesions and age will decide who will be hold in high esteem- but nothing else) thus there will be no counts, and elder will just be what his name states: elder.
  6. Okay let's be reasonable people, one at a time: Fisrt let's talk about the structure of command. I thing the best and most original will be having a single chief, and something similar to 'ring' where the eldest men of the village will make important decision regarding villagers life. Chieftain- Elected by the elders of the village from all grown men. He has a final word in every dispute or decision, except trials. Elders: the eldest men of vllage (right now about three as our population is low) -When a chieftain dies, they elect a new one. -Trials: Only the elders "council" can decide sentences, this also includes banishing. The chieftain must submit to their verdicts, except if he is the subject of a trial. Then and only then, he can refuse to fulfil it.
  7. Hello to all six of us. I've started this thread to discuss the final shape of our village. First of all: We've decided to join forces- meaning Rarog Burgh and Town of Norvensdak- and thus creating the village that would combine both forms to one. Or, if we will go in that direction, create something that will suit us best. :We should decide on the name (old one or new one) :The culture: we've got Slavian/Celtic one and Nord one. We can always mix them. :The location, near the central kingdoms or far. Near the water or inside the forest, etc... :and everything else that would come into our heads. Everybody posts your proposition and opinions. And let the debate be fruitful. [here are the links to both charters for easy navigation: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/55016-rarog-burgh/ http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/51866-town-of-norvensdak-315/ after the decision we will simply remove them and post a new one.] [[i propose that after the debate, if we won't have a consenus, we will put the things to vote: Grogos and Oddn (as founders) 1,5 vote, and me, ayresalex, Ceilteach, Sacrevarius- 1 vote.]] :?:
  8. Hey, you never thanked me, :| btw village place should have lots of pigs:

Disappointed that their mission was a failure, they set off for a journey back home. They hoped they would soon leave firm Renatus lands and welcome virgin forests of the west. They were hungry and tired, but it wasn't the reason for the bitterness they felt. Their task was not accomplished. They took off.

    Count myself in,
  15. 1.Out-Of-Character: My friend recommended me this server saying that “(…)everything I looked for in Minecraft is here.” Since he never let me down, I really hope my application will be accepted. 2.Minecraft Account Name: Sheunhaa 3.How old are you?: 22 years old 4.Time-Zone/Country of Residence: UTC +1 hour/Poland 5.Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, 6.Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I’m an open person who enjoys meeting new people and making new friendships. But aside that, from time to time, I like to shut off from the outside world and just play on my computer. 7.How much time could you be on the server weekly?: About 20 hours. 8.What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: The Roleplaying is focused on playing character in the way that is concentrating from his point of view, making his actions and choices based entirely on the character’s feelings and knowledge rather than what a player thinks he should do. It is important to know the limitations of character’s knowledge and act accordingly. It is crucial for character someone is playing to develop awareness of the way other characters perceive him. 9.What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I’m a veteran of Warhammer RPG and Star Wars RPG, mostly as a player. 10.In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Metagaming- It is based on affecting ingame decisions and actions by using resources that are out of a game. For example, when facing an obstacle, rather than overcome it myself, I use internet to search for any helpful informations. Or ask out of character about it. 11.In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Powergaming- When a player’s actions, while interacting with other player, make it impossible for that other player to decide what his character would do in a specific situation. For example: A guardsman looking for a thief, notices a poor beggar. He comes before him, and type: “The Guardsman arrests Beggar for suspected theft”. If the Guardsmen wouldn’t try to powergame he would left a room for a beggar to interact: “The Guardsman try to size the Beggar, accusing him of theft”, so that the player playing beggar would be able to act accordingly to his character traits. 12.What do you expect this server will be like?: Everybody will stay in character, and the world will look ‘natural’ (in fantasy reality). 13.What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Sacred Labyrinth- couldn’t stand desolated landscape… Visionary Craft- After finishing underwater city, I’ve discovered that I can’t go to Nether nor ‘transport’ water. (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): none 22.Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Bism was a little baby when his family like others moved to Asulon. He never had any memories of Aegis. Untroubled, he had a stable childhood as a son of wealthy Oren merchant who was rarely at home. Bism was a blue eyed and fair-haired boy, and until his sixteen birthday never experienced how harsh and foul world is. If he hadn’t took off, he never would have. But boring and monotonous live was too much or rather too little for him. As many youngsters before him Bism went on adventure. Yet despite the odds he didn’t end up in the sewers, butchered and robbed by some random outlaw of some sort. He simply lost his belongings and was forced to stay in a little town somewhere far away from home. During his first year in the new town he had desperately tried to find a merchant job, since he was well educated in that profession. All in vain. Town was too small, and his skills wasn’t that of the top notch. As he turned seventeen his sense of failure made him sarcastic and presumptuous, but also made him realistic. He took the first vacant position he found, and become assistant of Gardener. Which he owed to his good appearance and the mistress of the noble house he now served in. But the job was as good as any other, and at last he finally had something to eat as well as a place to sleep. Not so long later, he relieved his old teacher and become fully realized gardener. He learnt to treasure and love his gardening skills as the first ones he obtained not from his tutors teachings but through his own experience. Still the moment of happiness hadn’t last long. A terrible war has break out, and the town found itself in the middle of the siege. All the grown men were called to arms, including Bism. He never knew exactly what was it that he was fighting for. The war was long, but somehow he survived along with the town. However at the war’s end he found his noble master dead, mansion destroyed, and his garden burnt. Having no attachment to the town, he began his new adventure. He took off again, at age 20. This time as a mercenary. 23.What is your Character's ambitions?: Become a master gardener in a rich house. 24.What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Hoes, 25.What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Bism can make grow anything anywhere, and is pretty confident in that matter. Also he is experienced defender, and will be a great help during siege. 26.A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/854/nowyobrazu.png/ 27.Other Information about your Character: He is not accustomed to darkness as he always stayed in the cities and towns, not in the wilderness. He respects nobles, unlike many of his fellow merchantmen. He can’t swim. Never seen a sea. Open-Response-Questions 28.Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? “Perhaps you can show me more usable equipment?” Bism looked over the shiny wares. “I’m not heading for the Townhall.” “Of course,” Merchant quickly placed on the stall few pickaxes and shoves. “Please look at this fine tools,” “That wasn’t what I had in mind” “I understand.” Merchant again turned to his sacks. “Then what is it, that interests you?” Young man stared at the back of merchant, thinking of the dreadful blackness of wilderness. “…torches.”Bism pressed his lips together.”I will be in a great need of them.” 29.Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? “Good day to you.” Bism greeted traders back with his nicest smile. “It is a great fortune to meet fellow travelers in this unfriendly forest.” Everybody stared at his unusual clothing for walking through woods. “Might I ask you,” He continued. “If you could share with me your food and warmth of the fire? I don’t have much, but I assure you, enough to pay you generously for your help.” Not long did Bism waited in anticipation as the traders discussed the matter. The eldest trader nodded in the agreement and welcomed him in the camp. “Since you put it so profitable, we have no reason not to.” Still Bism couldn’t help but notice the amused look on his face. “Then tell me traveler,” One of the traders asked Bism as they sat around the fire. “What was your reason to went in this forest, since your equipment states obviously that you are unprepared for it?” “A strange story.” Bism scowled. “Not one to be proud of. I took off the right route to gather seeds from the grass. After a while I found myself in the forest, lost and hungry with no sense of the direction. I have been traveling so for few days, trying to find a civilization.” Bism took a first bite of a bread they gave to him. “Fortunately I met you before I came across next tussock of interesting looking grass…”
