  1. Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: My accounts name is ikicifi (no capitals). How old are you?: I'm 17 years old, 18 in September. Time-Zone/Country of Residence: I don't actually know my timezone, but I do know that I'm on the east coast of the U.S.A. Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I believe that I do. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm an avid gamer who's been playing Minecraft since alpha and thoroughly enjoys open world games. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I can't say for sure because I have quite a few things on my plate at the moment (School, girlfriend, family, and friends) but I'd like to be on a few hours at least three nights out of the week, which I think would work nicely for my character idea. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: I know that role-playing is the act of taking on an alternate identity, whether it be in LARPing or through a video game, and effectively creating the illusion that you are in fact your character while you are partaking in the act of role-play. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I've only ever role-played in single player rpg's such as Fallout or The Elder Scrolls series. Needless to say, I'm intrigued by the idea of a more dynamic world that consists of other actual people, instead of a scripted interaction. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: I recently learned what this is. I would say that it's using information gained outside of character that is then transferred into your characters mind and used without any prior way of your character gaining that knowledge. In lay-mans terms: meta-gaming is to role-playing as screen-peeking is to split screen multiplayer. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: I also recently learned the meaning of this word (as I stated before, I'm new to multiplayer role-playing). Power-gaming is when one makes decisions about how something plays out and doesn't give others a chance to put their say in what happens. What do you expect this server will be like?: I'm hoping it's like an actual working community of different races and creeds where factions, guilds, workers unions, and what have you roam the land and embark on adventures. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I played on several Reddit servers, a competitive capture the flag server, and hosted my own local server where me and a couple friends built the land of Waltermirevania. I left the ones I didn't host because of griefers and I stopped my server because that computer that I ran it on blue screened and the world file was corrupted in the incident. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I indeed have. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I do solemnly swear! How did you hear about us?: Someone posted a screenshot of one of your Elven cities to the Minecraft Sub-Reddit and I was very impressed. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?: I don't know what Minestatus is, so no. In-Character: Character Name: My name is Gilder McCore What Race are you?: What kind of question is that? Are you blind? Do you not see the massive pointy ears? What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): My mother was an Elf so naturally that's what shows, but my father was a Human, which explains why my hair isn't bleach blond like all these other Elfs. I guess that makes me an Elf Mutt. Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): So you want to hear my life story. *ugh* Great. Take a seat, it's a long one. I was born in the Kingdom of Oren where my father ran a shop for hunters and gatherers. We lived in that cruddy shack for all of my childhood. God how I hated that place. The high class snobs doing the kings business would come by now and again just to sneer at our poverty. When I started to mature past being a child, my mother, Fraela, decided it was time for me to see what it was like to live like a true elf and took me to the Elven nation of Malinor. My eyes just about shot out my skull when we were within eyesight of the place. I had heard stories from hunters that came to my fathers shop of this land and it's massive trees, but I never would've guessed just how big they actually were. Needless to say, I was more than ecstatic to be in my element, and I was ready for the forest life too. Those hunters showed me many things in my time living in that scrap-wood shack, and even took me on my first hunt where I killed a menacing green ambush monster and used it's hide to make my lucky cloak. By the time I was coming into myself as a man, my mother had gone back to my father in the kingdom and I was well settled in as a hunter of the lands, happily away from people and their petty squabbles and their useless class status judgments. Of course I occasionally have to deal with the unpleasantness of interaction with people, but it puts food on the table and coin in my pocket. I'm not saying that all people are trash though. I do find some people bearable at the most and enjoy breaks in the deafening silence of the deep forest to talk for a bit, but not too long. I don't want to start hating the people I've learned to tolerate. OOC: A half Elf Half human hunter/woodsman with a generally negative disposition towards people (figures of authority especially) but does long for companionship every now and again. What is your Character's ambitions?: I just want to make a living off my particular skills, and maybe build a nice home to call my own. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): I'm gonna have to go with a bow on this one. They serve me well. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Shooting down one of those horrible green monsters before it even has a chance to hiss at me. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): http://imgur.com/a/91yFt OOC: I don't know how to make the picture appear in the post, so here's a link to a picture of my (self made) skin. Other Information about your Character: I'm also pretty good at selling things. I picked it up from my father. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I'll walk right on by. It's not my problem. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Bugger off unless you got some food. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: I don't have use of iron and I definitely won't use a sword made of gold, but I sure as heck could sell it. I guess I'd set up a temporary camp in the area and wait around a few days to see if anyone claims it. Maybe I'd do some hunting to pass the time. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Hungry and lost in the wilderness? Hahahaha, that's a good one. I'm right at home in the wilderness. If I did come across a trading camp, I'd make use of their services to the best of my abilities. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Send the guards on their way and let them know that My arrows will turn any bandits to shish-kebabs if they want to stick their ugly heads in my face.
