Out of Character:
Minecraft Account Name: Chaosrising5
How old are you?: Twenty-four
Time-Zone/Country of Residence: GMT -5, United States
Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I’ve spoken it all of my life, and I dislike writing that includes poor grammar unless that is the original intent.
Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I spend most of my time using my computer and playing games. I also work on the computer, so I suppose you could say that my life is centred around the computer. I enjoy reading and have a very active imagination.
How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Easily thirty hours a week, and that is a fairly conservative estimate.
What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: I’m the type of person that likes to immerse myself in new worlds and in the shoes of the characters. I have an overactive imagination and find it easy to envision the situations my characters are in. Roleplaying to me is simply choosing their actions instead of being a bystander; I get to write the story instead of reading it. I have always thought to myself while reading “Don’t do that!” or “No, go the other direction!” and while roleplaying I can actually make those decisions for myself. I can become whatever I wish. No height is too high. That is roleplaying to me.
What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I’ve played on only one other Minecraft server and through several years of roleplaying various X-box games. These included many different R.P.Gs, several shooters, and a few strategy games.
In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-gaming is simply using information your character does not have as if they did. For example, if I asked someone where I could find a nice house for sale out of character and then used that information to go purchase the house that would be meta-gaming.
In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Power-gaming is forcing actions upon others or not allowing them to react to yours. If you attempt to run someone through with your sword and say *lunges forward with sword, impaling user1* you are power-gaming by not allowing them to react to your actions, and therefore dictating how they react to you.
What do you expect this server will be like?: With the large number of people that are usually online I expect a very active environment and a large amount of action to be going on at any given time. I can imagine wars between kingdoms sparked by jealousy, bandit raids on villages simply at the whim of nobles who only wish to see how long they shall last, poison being slipped into the beverage of a king; all these things potentially going on at the same time, along with many more. Of course there are rules, though, so I expect an enjoyable environment along with all of those things.
What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on Tales of Mel-Lenxia, but that server was shut down by the owner.
Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Absolutely
Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I promise to abide by all of the aforementioned rules and laws.
How did you hear about us?: I was searching through a list of Minecraft RP servers and came across your fine server, much to my delight.
Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?: I have, my vote number is: 2845

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):
I have only one goal in life, and that is to show the world exactly how disgusting and greedy their neighbours are. They may say they are selfless but such a thing is ridiculous. None of us have ever committed a single act for another person alone. Every action is committed in hopes of some sort of gain, or to protect something we have already gained. The heroes of this world that are lauded for their selfless deeds are just as disgusting to me as the villains they slay. In my two hundred and fifty years of life I have come to realise that good and evil are simply opinions, and majority rules the definition of both. I’m sure you’re wondering how exactly I came to see the world this way. Well, I’ll explain it to you if you have such a terrible need to know…
I’ve never had a true friend. Ever since my earliest days I’ve been an outcast for no reason except that the fools wanted someone to taunt. I had an odd way of thinking, so they automatically assumed it was bad… As I grew older my parents started to think the same way and just bought me books to babysit me instead of acting like parents. As long as I was out of the way I was out of their mind, and at first that was fine with me… I enjoyed the peace afforded by being immersed in another world, a land of untold and infinite possibilities unlike this bland plane of existence. After a while you start to realise that the people around you don’t even notice you. Most people greet each other when walking down a hallway towards each other, but few notice that I am there now. They simply continue on, dismissing me as unimportant… For many, that was their last mistake. Going un-noticed is a very convenient gift, I have found. With the correct outfit and attitude you can gain access most anywhere, and get just about anything you want.
In any case, when one is left alone for a long time strange, unhealthy thoughts begin to spring up.. The natural walls we create to avoid seeing the negativity in the world start to lower as we consider things, and eventually you see the world in a new light. Sadly that light is often considered evil or dangerous to others. That is my story. A simple one, but I am glad that I have lived it. It has shown me the truth of the world… A truth I intend to spread.
What is your Character's ambitions?: He wishes to show the world exactly how disgusting and greedy their neighbours are while achieving power so that he may one day truly influence the world’s thinking.
What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): The hoe
What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Infiltration
A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format):
Other Information about your Character: Illkaras does whatever is necessary to get power. The only thing that holds back his actions is the chance that he will be caught.
Open-Response-Questions
Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?
Illkaras would survey the three individuals, weighing the potential for gain from either party. If he did not think that the Halfling had a sum of money to compensate him for his trouble in disposing of the warriors he would most likely continue on, but if the Halfling appeared to be wealthy he may take the time to stop and eliminate them, hopefully delivering the halfling’s gratitude, and therefore money, right into his hands.
Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?
Assuming the merchant had nothing of interest Illkaras would simply ignore him and continue walking, but if he had something of interest Illkaras would probably engage him in conversation and discuss the item’s price. If it proved to be reasonable he would buy it, if not he would more than likely steal it.
Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:
Illkaras would consider it a sort of fortune and steal the contents of the chest without a second thought, except maybe for the potential traps that could be in the area.
Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?
Illkaras would attempt to coerce them into giving him what he needed and slip out after ascertaining his location and perhaps… “borrowing” some other things.
You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Being a crafty fellow Illkaras would join them, but if the bandits began to overwhelm the town guard he would slip away and either return to the town or leave it entirely.
