Morlorn wasn't born into a perfect life, he was born at a temple in Oren with a war nearby, yet he couldn't recall what war it was. Morlorn guessed it was the War Against the Undead but he couldn't be sure. His father was a warrior, rushed and nearly always angry due to being a field commander, and always pushing everyone around. His mother was a healer, calm and graceful in her own way. Due to the war, his father was never home but his mother was. He lived up at the temple where his mother worked. Unlike what his father would teach, his mother taught him to respect all races: short or tall, white or dark. He was born pure Northerner, of wealthy folk, he was taller than average with dark brown hair, blue eyes, and light skinned. One day, his father come to the temple and nearly took down the temple shouting at what he saw. Morlorn loved to create and be inspired by things, and enjoyed writing. His father wanted a strong, tough son, not a writer. After his big lecture, Morlorn ran to his room, and thought hard about why his father was so angry at him. Later that night, Morlorn heard screaming, and looked outside to see Aegis burning. It was chaos and destruction. This was one thing he was not inspired by. He saw everyone running towards the docks, left the temple and followed the roaring crowds. After days of fear for his mother on a boat, with little for his father, they reached Asulon. Shortly after arriving, he was told his mother had died, and they knew nothing of his father by a peacekeeper. He thanked them and moved on. He found Asulon inspiring, every tree and crevice an idea waiting to be explored. One day he encountered a bandit, who tried to steal his minas. Morlorn refused, and the bandit attacked. Thankfully, his father taught him one last thing before he went to war: how to handle and use a blade. Morlorn's father was a great swordsman and soilder, even before the war, and taught Morlorn the secrets of the blade because he feared Morlorn would need such skill in the future. Morlorn dodged the bandit's first blow and struck the bandit in the right shoulder. The bandit struck back hitting Morlorn's left leg before Morlorn stabbed the bandit in the arm. The Bandit retreated. After the shocking encounter, Morlorn searched for help, and eventually found an inn whose keeper was willing to help him recover from his attack. So there he stood, staring into the moon and the stars on the front deck of the inn, at 48 years old, hoping to find inspiration and his father. He packed his equipment into his satchel, and set his sights on the Cloud Temple. What is your Character's ambitions?:Morlorn's ambitions are to find his long lost father,but is willing to help anyone in need of assistance, due to that he feels by help others, he will impress his father, and respect his mother. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): The sword is Morlorn's favored tool because it is light, quick, and quite mobile. To him, it is the perfect weapon and the one he learned to use best. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?Writing has been Morlorn's fascination for years, and he has become quite skilled at using the quill and paper combination due to it. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?Morlorn, concerned for the safety of the half-ling, acts normally by walking past, but then turns around yelling "you two, yeah you stupid mongrels, leave the poor guy alone!" with a very intimidating expression on his face. The thugs, angry about the insults storm over, blades and axes unsheathed. Morlorn signals for the half-ling to run, who nods in agreement and trots off. Morlorn now begins to focus on the two angry warriors heading towards him, sprints as fast as he can away from the warriors, and is able to escape due the warrior's armor weight. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character's response?Morlorn's initial response is "Sorry good sir, but I am not interested in your wares" but then notices the man has a fine iron blade on display. Morlorn, needing a new sword, quickly says "Wait, how much for the iron blade?" The man replies "Sorry, but the sword there is just for display". Morlorn pulls out a sack of 300 minas and says "Will you sell it now?". The man, a little surprised by Morlorn desperation, takes the sack of minas and gives Morlorn the blade. Morlorn whispers "thank you" and continues on hearing the man mumble "I should sell all my wares, even the ones on display" and greets his next customer. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Morlorn would reach for his sword, but stop before touching it thinking that "this belongs to someone, I should leave this where it is". He would turn out of the hut and walk away in deep thought about what would become of the fine blade and bars but continue on with his journey. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Morlorn, in common tongue replies "Please help me. I have been stranded in the woods for days, and have had no food or water for what seems like years. May I seek shelter here?" A grey haired dwarf replies, "How do we know you're not just going to steal our wares and kill us all?" Morlorn, a little angry at this response, lifts his torn shirt to show signs of starvation, scratches, and a large rash. The dwarf, now quite convinced of his honesty, says in a quieter tone "Come now, let's see what we can do over a mug of ale, eh?" Morlorn nods, and enters a ruffled tent with the dwarf to get some supplies and a good rest. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Morlorn, wishing that they could do a much more democratic solution finds the leader of the operation, and asks "Why not find why the bandits are there, and find a much more peaceful solution?" The leader laughs a bit and replies "They're bandits you fool! There be no way we can reason with them!" Morlorn, angered by the response, walks to the bandit camp and talks to the gatekeeper. "Why don't you just move the camp into the forest?" The gatekeeper responds, "There are are no traders in a forest, now move along". Morlorn shakes his head and the gate keeper issues the command "arrow". A bandit on the wall fires an arrow into Morlorn's shoulder. Morlorn shocked by the response runs back to town, only to finds himself the subject of laughter by many citizen of the town. It was chaos,destruction.this was one thing he was not inspire by.he notice everyone running towards the docks,and following the crowds.After days of fear for his mother,a little for his father,they reach Asulon.Shortly After arriving,he was told his mother had died,and they knew nothing of his father by two peacekeepers,he thank them,and moved on.He found Asulon inspiring,every tree and crevice an idea waiting to be explore.one day,he encountered a bandit crew,who tried to steal his mina's.Morlorn refuse,and the bandits attack. thankfully,his father taught him one last thing before he went missing,how to handle and use a blade.Morlorn made quick work of the clumsy bandits,but with a cost.he received a large wound on his face,which soon heal into a scar.after the shocking encounter, Morlorn continue his search for his father.So there he stood,Staring into the moon and the stars, at 29 years old,hoping to find inspiration and his father.
