  1. Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: Wobrote How old are you?: I am currently 17 years of age. Time-Zone/Country of Residence: GMT/England Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I do indeed. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I enjoy gaming, spending most of my time on Minecraft. However I am currently studying for my A-levels so I don't get as much gaming time as I would like I don't have many hobbies but I dabble on the piano and do a bit of cross-country running. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I won't be able to put much time in on the weekdays, but on the weekends my playing time could range from 3 - 6 hours, or more depending on my mood. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: I'm not too experienced in the art, but as I understand, it is implementing the game with aspects of your imagination. For example if you were to play a game like Oblivion, as well as playing the game properly, you might decide to make your character eat 3 meals a day and not partake in various quests that go against the morals your have established. This allows you too take a more personal role in the game. However I must specify that it isn't this mechanical, you experience the character as you, using your imagination as a tool to provide an elaborate gaming experience. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: Very little, but I have implemented games like Oblivion with aspects like I mentioned above. Now, although I have little experience, I am still very eager too try out and enjoy this style of gaming. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: As I understand it, Meta-Gaming is where you use knowledge gained out of character to influence your in character experiences. For example using a style of attack against your opponent that your RP character isn't aware of, exploiting a weakness that you found out, outside of the game. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Power-Gaming is when a playing declares an action on another playing without giving them the chance to react, for example player A decides that player B will be tied down, and player B has no say in the matter. It is also doing stuff that is not appropriate for the role play situation, for example if you were playing a prestigious night of the round table, you wouldn't suddenly take off your clothes in front of the king! Another example is when players use it too over-power their character, for example if player A was in a battle and then suddenly decided he/she was going to hit his opponent with a large fireball, even though his character had had no previous magical experience, this would be largely over powered and would create an unrealistic gaming environment. What do you expect this server will be like?: I'm not totally sure, as it is a delicacy that I haven't had the delight to taste. But with such a lengthy application process, I can imagine that the community that is accepted is fantastic, and a pleasure to roll play with. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on ALOT of servers, but the ones I have spent the most time on include: Pwego's server, Minecraft Worlds, I spent a bit of time playing on a Skyrim RP server and most recently I have been playing on the Reddit survival server. I have also spent a lot of time on various faction servers, really enjoyign the competitive aspects of the game. As to why I left these servers, some became boring while others ceased to exist, other reasons include corrupt staff and glitchy interfaces. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I promise to abide too these rules. How did you hear about us?: I read a post on Reddit recommending you! Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?: I wasn't aware I was able too, but I will do after completing this! Have you posted this application on our minecraft forum thread yet? If not, just finish it up on here and then copy + paste is over there. (http://www.minecraft...-p-s-e-r-v-e-r/): Yes In-Character: Character Name: Tahl What Race are you?: Elf What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Wood Elf Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Adopted at a very young age, Tahl was taken in by the baker of a small rural village on the outskirts of Normandor. Tahl had dirty-blonde hair and unusually blue eyes, his coppery skin however matched his brethren's well. Tahl trained under his foster parent, learning the trade and thus gaining a good understanding on the workings of wheat, this also left Tahl with a muscular physique and deft hands. Now and again Tahl would inquire as to who his real parents were, but the baker would always turn away and leave Tahl without an answer. Fortunately this didn't bother Tahl, as he just wanted to get on with his life and settled with his bakery work. However this work was not enough to feed Tahl appetite, and he started to try his hand in the art of the blade. Now, it is known that Wood Elves aren't as proficient in the blade as their cousin races, but Tahl fought hard to gain a keen understanding of his weapon of choice, training hard and in secret (due to not wanting to undermine his foster parents teachings). It was during one of Tahl secret training sessions that he gained the acquaintance of Gizzaard, a wood elf who'd previously been exiled for the village. Tahl found Gizzaard drinking from the lake that bordered his favourite sparing ground. Gizzaard's family had been brutally murdered by human raiders, and his thirst had forced him to this humble lake. Gizzaard's first reaction too Tahl's appearance was one of anguish, as Tahl was still holding his blade. However Tahl had no mean intent, and raised his hand to Gizzaard, starting a friendship that would hold for many years too pass. Tahl brought Gizzaard to the baker and there they both continued to live and grow into adulthood, sharing tricks and teaching each other skills. When the boys began their adulthood, they decided to leave the village and embark on and adventure to explore the rest of Asulon. What is your Character's ambitions?: To broaden his skills and gain a better understanding of the different cultures that Asulon holds, all the while maintaining a companionship with his friend Gizzaard. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): The blade as it's sharp edge has taught Tahl discipline and control. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Tahl has trained in the blade for many years and thus has a keen understanding of its inner workings, this helps him in battle and in hunting. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): Other Information about your Character: Tahl will be adventuring with his friend Gizzaard, who is applying to the server alongside me (under the name gizzytausend). Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Tahl and his companion would probably try to avoid the fight in their current state, as they aren't likely to be able to vanquish two armed warriors. However once the fight is over, they would approach the halfling and offer them some fish and bread. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Instead of trying to purchase said goods, Tahl and his companion would probably inquire as to where his goods were sourced. For they have a keen understanding of the forest, and are always looking for an opportunity to earn some money. Thus aiding the merchant and themselves. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: At first encounter Tahl and Gizzaard would ignore the contents of the chest, due to being brought up on the morals that stealing is wrong. However if they were to return in the future and the contents of the chest were unchanged they would decide that they materials would have better use in their hands. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Tahl and his companion would ask the traders if they had any food too spare by displaying signs of hunger and desperation. They would then attempt to signify that they were lost and inquire as too where the nearest town was. On parting they would give the traders something for their help and hospitality. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: The duo would offer their help but try too avoid the front lines of battle. This is due to the fact that they are not proficient in mass attacks and prefer to be more stealthy with their attitude, using their environment to their advantage. They would also refuse to accept the award if victorious, the town has been their place to stay, and the least they can do is fight for it.
