His father had been a farmer before he was born, but he had died from a plague when he was only a young lad. His mother was left to raise him by herself. He never got to know his farther the way he wanted to, he never got to hear the story of his life, and he never got to watch his father grow old. his farther was. His mother, a widow, had no way to feed her child due to the great famine that had gone through the land. So they were forced to sell there farm to a wealthy family. They had no hope left, they were poor, they had no house, and they were starving. Until a glimmer of hope shinned through the darkness. While traveling the side of the road they came to a small village. As they entered the village they encountered the village chief. He gave them food and shelter. Things seemed to be looking up for them. But they had no idea of what would happen next. As they left the next day they chief tried to stop them from leaving, they refused and a fight broke out. At the end of the struggle his mother and the chief lay dead in the center of the village. So Letholdus was left to live on his own, as a wandering soul looking for a place to live. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I would attack and defend the halfling until the warriors were killed by my sowrd. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? His mother was left to raise him by herself. He never knew who his farther was, for he was killed in a great battle. His mother, a widow, had no way to feed her child due to poverty. She sent him away to train to be a solider, and that one day he might return to her. Having nothing left, the army seemed to be the only way to help his mother. He trained knowing he was helping his mother, but Letholdus barely survived the training. The brutal life of a soldier was not what he expected. He survived training and was deployed immedately to the Northern front. The Northern front was a fight against the wick Trolls of the North. They had lost many troops from bitter fighting. As soon as he arrived his unit came under attack of a legion of Trolls. His unit fought back to back. All seemed lost until Letholdus pulled out his sword and fought to hold off the Trolls while his unit escaped. By the time rienforcements had arrived all they found was him and 5,000 enemy troops. The King had given him a sword forged from drwafs and blessed by the elves. He returned home a hero, but he was deeply depressed learning of the death of his mother.
