  2. Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: fuse123 How old are you?: 15 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Britain, GMT Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, It's the only language I speak. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I've always held internet gaming as a way of stress relief. I'm against drama and am more inclined to be a friend to those I meet online, which has allowed me to get some great experiences out of RP and regular gaming communities online. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: It depends on how much I enjoy it, but probably at least an hour every few days. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying, to me, is a show you put on for yourself and for others. This is accomplished - convincingly - by descriptive actions, memorable character development, and interesting interaction between players. Some of the best roleplay I've ever been involved with has taken place in a single room, rather than across huge worlds. Mainly that was do to the limitation of the game, though. With The Lord of The Craft however the landscape is open to the player. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I have roleplayed on various games, mostly Garry's mod and Minecraft. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Metagaming is when you use OOC information in character and it may change the outcome of your character's development. You can learn this information in different ways, e.g. TeamSpeak, the Forums, or Real-Life, and using it in character. An example of this is, if I saw someones IGN and called them by that name instead of their roleplaying game I'd be Meta-Gaming In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Powergaming is when you actually enforce something upon another player, and not giving them a chance to either counter it or take note of your action. Powergaming doesn't make the game fun for anyone except the person who is commiting the act. An example of powergaming is if I was arresting someone in-game, and I emoted "Player 1 tackles the criminal to the floor, smashing his head on the cobbled road, and restraining his hands". That would be powergaming, as I did not give the other player the chance to react and counter it. What do you expect this server will be like?: A very well organised roleplaying experience which lives up to it's name as the #1 Minecraft Roleplaying Server. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I played on an SMP server that got hugely griefed and is no longer running. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: Yes. How did you hear about us?: A friend recommended me. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?: 23 Have you posted this application on our minecraft forum thread yet? If not, just finish it up on here and then copy + paste is over there. In-Character: Character Name: Kilgin What Race are you?: Dwarf What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Cave Dwarf Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Kilgin is a 126 year old dwarf who's long brown hair, usually hidden by a helmet, matches his eyes. Kilgin grew up in Aegis, as his father was a miner in Kal'Urguan and his mother, a farmer. As Kilgin grew older, he was inspired by his father's skills with the Pickaxe when mining. He spent most of his younger years in the Mines with his father and eventually became an extremely talented miner. At this point he knew what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. Kilgin earned some reputation for his hard work and began to make a living from it. As his parents were too old to work, he had to care for them as well as himself. He was not earning much minas so he looked for something to do when he wasn't mining. Kilgin spent almost one elven week searching when he found a shop that sold food. Kilgin worked there until the corruption of the undead siezed Aegis and the dwarves fled to Asulon, where he moved into Karik with his parents. Kilgin became close friends with some of the other dwarves in Karik and they went on mining expeditions together. At this point, Kilgin had earned enough money to move away to Kal'Dwain, home of the Mining Guild. Kal'Dwain is where he would stay until he heard of the fall of Karik, where he'd left most of his friends and his parents. Kilgin had heard that Karik had been attacked by a dragon, and as he arrived at the gates he heard a deafening roar from within the city and as he stepped back, he stepped on a small note. The note read "Brothers, a dragon has taken over the inner city. We have moved west to Khaz'a'Zharr. Come quick brothers, we shall rebuild!" After reading this, Kilgin was shocked and headed west across the river. He had arrived at Khaz'a'Zharr where he saw wounded dwarves lying in a small hut, their wounds being treated. As Kilgin went deeper into the city, an old dwarf approached him. "We must rebuild" he said. Kilgin nodded and shouted "For Urguan!" What is your Character's ambitions?: To help bring back what the dwarves once were. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Pickaxe What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Drinking A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): Other Information about your Character: There's nothing more to add. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Kilgin would stand back and hide behind the nearest rock and wait until they're gone. If they leave anything of value behind then Kilgin would take that and slide it quickly into a pouch on his belt. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Kilgin would say, "'ail! Ah'm lookin' fer some bread, 'ow much wud foive loaves cost?" the merchant smiles, and says "Well, five loaves of bread would cost you exactly thirty five minas, sir." Kilgin would smile back, happily and say "Aye, sounds loike a gud enough price fer me!" Kilgin would then exchange 35 minas for 5 loaves of bread before discussing the recent rumours and happenings with the merchant. After this, Kilgin would leave the stall and return home. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Kilgin would completely ignore these items knowing that they're not for him and that they're somebody elses belongings. No matter how tempted he is, he won't steal. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Kilgin would say "'ello every'un, do any uv ye 'ave any fud? I've been wanderin' on an empty stomach fer quite a while now." If they do give Kilgin food, then he would happily thank and pay them for it if he has minas on him. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Kilgin may scout the roads once or twice, but would much rather tell a friend about the reward and the bounty. Kilgin only fights if he or his kin are under huge threat. Bandits aren't as bad as an army about to seige the town.
