  1. Thurdan makes his way to the podium with a brisk pace. He clears his throat before looking upon the gathered high elves.

“We, the mali’aheral, embark upon a new era. Past actions have brought instability and disarray. Yet, the dust has settled and we must bring new life to it. I Thurdan Orathon wish to lead you, as a part of the Triumivirate, to co-ordinate, with each and every one of you, the rekindling of our purpose.

The mali’aheral have the capacity to progress, yet we sometimes lack direction and this can lead to stagnation and lethargy. Many of us, including myself, have had moments where we are unsure of what to do next. I plan to combat this put implementing what I would like to call the “Triumvirate’s progressive agenda”. This agenda will outline specific areas that are need of progression. The items will be ranked in order of what most benefits the mali’aheral, which will based off your opinion. Resources will be allocated accordingly. By doing so the mali’aheral will have a clear idea on what needs to be progressed, and more importantly be able to uphold maehr’sae hiylun’ehya.

There are some who look upon the Silver Binding and see it as a blunder. However, we have ensured good health and will continue to do so through the protection of the men of the valah for many decades to come. Now that our health has been firmly safeguarded, I wish to grasp this prime opportunity to enter into a time of unprecedented progression.

Actions of the past have sought to exercise domination upon fellow mali, which have ultimately lead to distancing and resentment between the mali’aheral and the mali’ame. If elected, I wish to pursue the renewing of bonds between the mali’aheral and the mali’ame and mali’ker. By doing so, we can put our resources together to effectively and efficiently make progression.

I ask the mali’aheral to not despair, even though we may see our current efforts as pointless or in vain. A new beacon of hope must be installed and I Thurdan Orathon, believe that I can serve you as this beacon by being elected to the Triumvirate as Sohaer. Through your vote, a new noontide can be brought into fruition. We can only bring this about by returning to stronger emphasis upon maehr’sae hiylun’ehya and I will generate this sense of importance”

After finishing his speech, Thurdan pauses and looks upon the gathered mali’aheral once more before stepping away from the podium.

  2. ((MC Name:)) bluesky574

    Name: Thurdan Orathon

    Age: 50

    Gender: Male

Origins of your birth: Towards the end of our time Asulon.

How long have you resided with the blessed Mali’aheral?: 44 years.

Why do you wish to become a citizen of our cihi?: A better question is why would I wish to remain? I have lived among the mali'aheral and their various settlements for the larger part of my life and do not wish for that to come to an end anytime soon. There is no other place I wish to be.

How can you declare you are Mali'thill?: I have the physical traits of a typical mali'thill; pale skin, blond hair, blue eyes and relatively tall. My mental state has not been corrupted, and I my actions are not impure.

What does maehr'sae hiylun'ehya mean to you?: This creed encapsulates how we are supposed to live. Our lives are dedicated to adhering to this. It is our most important value. The creed is what we turn to in times of despair and confusion.

What is your personal vision for our blessed race?: To continue as we have always done, adhering to maehr'sae hiylun'ehya.

Are there any other details about yourself you wish to relay to the mali’aheral? Example: professions and positions: Tilruir'sil of elsillumir.

  3. Thurdan strides to the pulpit, as he steps in front of it, he gazes about the room for a moment before beginning his speech. “Leadership is not a quality, it is an action. Karin’ayla Sohaer and fellow mali’aheral. I, Thurdan Orathon, Tilruir’sil of Elsillumir, stand before you today speaking as to why I am the most deserving of the position of Okarir’tir.

Long ago, almost two decades now, I sought the need to enlist myself in the Sillumir. At the time, never in my wildest dreams did I think that someday I was destined to become the Okarir’tir of Haelun’or. But here we are now, a short time after dispelling a group of vile and vicious individuals who sought to destroy this blessed nation. The ordeal has undoubtedly brought instability and confusion to those of silver and red. This unsteadiness will be put at ease by my decisiveness.

Unlike the candidates who spoke before me, I have almost twenty years of consistent service to the order behind me. This fact alone proves that I am fully dedicated and loyal to the Sillumir. During my many years of service, I have arisen to the position of Tilruir’sil. I am one of the, if not the highest ranked members of the organisation. To give the position to someone who would attempt to cruise in out of nowhere would send a discouraging message to Sillumiran who wish to someday climb the ranks into this position.

I have seen many Okarir’tiran come and go in such disappointingly short periods of time. The Sohaer can testify that selecting a Okarir’tir is a lengthy process. Permanence is what aim to bring as the Okarir’tir. I can assure you Sohaer that you will not have to repeat this process again any time soon with my appointment to Okarir’tir.

I could delve into a list of promises, but as I mentioned at the beginning that leadership is about action, not words. However, there is one thing I will promise. With my appointment to the position, I will ensure that the Sillumir will be the most effective, disciplined and highly trained individuals the order has ever know. I will bring a new era to elsillumir.

In these new lands the correct selection of the Okarir’tir could lead to our survival and our continued progress. Whilst a poor candidate could lead to our down fall. Through my decisiveness, experience, dedication and permanence, I will ensure the longevity of our blessed race as Okarir’tir,” he concludes. Thurdan once again scans the room before moving away from the pulpit and resuming his seat.

  4.  The year would be roughly 1435, as we left Aegis in 1351, spent around 65 years in Asulon, around 10 years in Kalos and Elysium, and around 10 years on Anthos so far.

I’d just like to point out that we were only in Elysium and

Kalos for 5.8 years and we have only been in Anthos for 8.8 years.

I also took the liberty of calculating the amount of year we were in Asulon for future reference, as well as Elysium, Kalos and Anthos.

    28th of May, 2012

    http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/55880-time/?hl=year

-A year is 8 IRL days long.

-We had been in Asulon for 44 years.

From the 28th of May to the 28th of August, 2012, 93 IRL days had passed and 11.6 IG years had passed by. Between these two dates, a year was 8 IRL days long. (93 days/8=11.625)

    28th of August, 2012

    http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/68937-daynight-cycle-is-now-60-minutes/?hl=year#entry548257

-Each IG day is now 60 minutes, making each year 12 IRL days

    long.

-We had been in Asulon for 55.5 years. (44+11.5=55.5)

Between the 28th of August and the 15th of December, 2012, 110 IRL days had passed and 9.2 IG years had passed; each year was 12 IRL days long. (110 days/12=9.167)

    15th of December, 2012

    ttp://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/77710-asulon-final-event-25-unveiling/?hl=year

-We left Asulon and entered Elysium.

-We had been in Asulon for 64.8 years. (44+11.6+9.2=64.8)

-Each year remains 12 IRL days long.

Between the 15th of December, 2012 and the 23rd of February, 70 days had passed and 5.8 years had passed; a year remained 12

IRL days long. This was the period which we were situated in Elysium and Kalos.

Between the 23rd of February, 2013 and the 9th of June, 106 days had passed and 8.8 years had passed; a year remained 12 IRL

    days long.

Do note though, the calculations were based off days, not time.

  5. Daulban stands up from leaning on the wall of the throne room and begins to speak

  6. As Lyron sailed around the D'Haran wastelands, he could sense that something wasn't right....

By the time he had reached what was left of the water gate he couldn't believe his eyes. After many days of brewing, it had finally happened. A tear began to well up in his eye and it slowly rolled down his face. Lyron looked upon the city of D'Hara, but it wasn't the city that he could recognise. D'Hara layed in waste, not even a building could be seen. The streets that he once walked down had been erased by a violent volcano.

Lyron looked back to the sailor and motioned him to go back to the mainland. As the boat began to turn around, it was knocked by parts of floating rubble. Knocks that caused him to fall to the ground and do nothing but sob until he reached the mainland.

    Empyreal had fallen....

  7. Lyron sighs as he reads the note. He had given up on Aydendril more than an elven month ago. The title of "Lord" was no longer his, or he one he would deserve.

Lyron pulls out a piece of paper, as well as quill and he begins to write....

    Dear Shalua,

Although Codrik had no known heirs, the thought of a ruling council of Empyreal had been mentioned. However, with the mountain still billowing out a constant stream of smoke, as well as a steady flow of lava, it will continue to threaten the island.

All we can do now is to move all our belongings onto the Levithan and be ready to flee the island, if that day were to occur.

    Signed- Lyron

  8. Anywhere between 12-48 hours sounds good to me. What I don't want though, are attacks at 7pm EST on Wednesday. That's horrible timing for a lot of people, and really, it just wouldn't end well. I know you can't say "It must be on weekends" ( Well, you can, but people won't react well. ) But perhaps some sort of restriction?

By the sounds of it, you don't like battles occurring on a weekday, during the evening (EST evening that is). Honestly, I can't see them not happening on a weekday evening (EST). Even though weekdays are hectic as they are, you'd still find that a substantial amount of players will still be able to get on a join in on the battle. The only people that would be affected are players in Asia/Oceanic/Australian regions. Whilst there is not many people who play from those regions, let alone have RP reasoning to fight in these battles.

Furthermore, I would also like to say something that concerns people who like to preference their own time and date by posting on the warclaim post. This will possibly drag onto the "No war-claim system", and especially for battles that consist of nations. First and foremost, its borderline selfishness, please don't do it, you come here for RP not PVP, if you miss out on a battle tough cookies. (Aryon, this means you, and "It must be on weekends" is said by you, a lot.)

  9. A note is nailed upon the noticeboard in the Cloud Temple, it reads...

A most terrible event has occurred, and our leader, Codrik Del La Vega has passed on. Although the cause of his death is not completely known, a mixture of old age and lung failure is most likely the case.

Preparations are in place for his burial and ceremony, which will occur soon (TBC). Please keep yourself on the look out, as anyone who had substantial association with Codrik is most welcome to come to his burial. We would also like anyone with past knowledge of his life, such as former members of the Shad'Rin, to please contact Lyron Tarming (bluesky574), as I would like you to shed some light on his early life, during the ceremony.

May he rest in peace, and the Aenguls and Daemons welcome him to the life beyond, Codrik Del La Vega.

Duty you'd like to apply for: Terraforming

Concepts: The area which I would like to work with is the use of large bodies of water and its surrounding terrain. The use of water features will add natural beauty as well as a certain degree of tranquillity to the new map. Some of the landforms that I wish to implement into the map include:

    -Canyons

    -Bays

    -Rivers

    -Ponds

    -Swamps

    -Fjords

    -Glaciers

    -Islands

    -Wetlands

    -Waterfalls

    -Lagoons

Other works: This is a canyon a whipped up (competent with Voxelsniper).

Do you have teamspeak?:(Microphone not required.) Yes, as well as a microphone.

  11. These are just some of my thoughts on what I would like to see in 3.0.

    Settlements and Nations

Although having many diverse settlements is something I'd like to see, I do feel that our player base can’t populate them. A problem which many have already stated is that many settlements have sprung up, which has caused our player base to spread out.

Currently, our system of starting a settlement is through charters. With the new map, I think charters should be limited to the wilderness, whilst within nations there should be RP where players should announce their idea to noble players for them to decide whether or not to go through with them, maybe after this occurs a charter can be written up. As for Asulon, it might be a good idea for charters to be closed for the time being, and we'll see how it will affect the server. If charters do continue, the amount of supporters should be changed. To make a village you only need a measly 5 signers, which should definitely be bumped up. Overall, I personally believe that charters should be used as a last resort.

The amount of nations the server has is... iffy. We have our four main nations, Oren, Dwarves, Malinor and the War Ugz. But, we also have our independents Empyreal, Levanthus, Holm and Aeroch Nor. Even though we need our main nations, we still need independents in the mix to rival our larger nations. However, our independents well... don't seem to be able to fight their battles against the big four. I personally believe we need our four main nations to be the back bone of the server, while our independents are there to deify our larger nations.

At the moment I find capitals on the map such as Arethor disappointing. In my opinion I feel that the capital of the nation should be able to accommodate at least 1/2 of the nation's citizens. Unfortunately, Arethor, the almighty city which it is, only has 20 or so houses within its walls, with houses currently being built outside of it. Making capitals larger will give a good central place to RP in each of the nations.

    Map

While Asulon is a great map, I still do think we need to move on in order to rewrite some wrongs.

The size of the map is something that the community has been targeting for a while now. Almost everyone has witnessed how the size of the map has spread out RP. Personally, I don't mind the size of the map, it's just what people do with it. For example, if we didn't have all these settlements throughout the map there would be almost no reason for players living in or going to unpopulated areas, therefore making the map seem smaller to the player. It’s still good to have things thoroughly spread out in order to have distance between settlements.

The new landscape is something I’m most looking forward to. The use of Minecraft’s terrain generation is something that I feel has no place on this server. I find it very bland and repetitive. We should be hand sculpting our own map with custom and varied biomes to make our map unique and visually exciting to look at.

  12. *you recieve a form, it reads...
