Dashki stood at six feet tall, fair skinned. He had brown eyes of a cocoa color, and a dirty blond hair. A golden tongue, and a heart of chipped gold, he always put others before him. He was born into a not poor, but not wealthy family of hardworkers. His family had been lumberjacks for as long as their last name had exsisted, so naturally he was raised with an axe in his hand. At the early age of eight, Dashki was started at the tree farm, not worked hard, but not hardly working. He did not take much of a liking to trees as he was expected, but never the less, was not a disappointment, his parents were proud. At the age of fifteen, a local taven was hiring for guard duty. The poster caught the eye of Dashki. "Swordsman Wanted - Thirty minas a night, free drinks, free room." read the sign. Dashki had never touched a sword, but in his many years of growing with an axe, he had learned his ways around one. He asked his parents about the job, and they were hesitant, yet they let him. They wanted to please him in anyway they could. The Innkeep had never had an axeman on duty, and did not trust it. Persistant was Dashki, and soon the Innkeeper began to buckle, giving him a shot. After two years of working for the man, and not a single attempt to break in, the old Innkeep called it quits. Dashki without a job, returned to cutting wood with his family for minas. At the age of eighteen, he grew very tired of the family business. He missed the excitment of the guard duty, his axe at his side, expecting anything to happen.. even though nothing ever did. He had heard of a town in the far named Solace, in the nation of Salvus. They were hiring mercs for a expadition, and had taken interest. He decided to walk towards the home of the monks, and then set foot for Salvus. Saying his goodbyes, he packed his axe, rations, and a bedroll. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Dashki, taking notice to the two armed warriors, knew he was out manned. Their armor, a much better quality, and their weapons without a scratch, knew they ment buisness. Dashki quickly taking a grasp of the situation, approuched the two men from behind saying "Hey!". The two men turned and looked at him. "What do you want boy?" one older man said with a horse voice. "Do you expect to escape?" said Dashki. "Is that a threat kid? Do you think you can stop us?" belting out in laughter. "No, no, not me, but you're not to far from the town, do you not think he'll run in and report you. A search will be put out for you in minutes." said Dashki. "We'll just cut 'em then, no problem of him telling then is there!" said the other man, a much softer voice. "Kill him? Then somebody finds his body? In how long? Minutes? Days? Do you want that risk? The trail could be warm, and you'll be wanted men for manslaughter." Dashki explained. The men looking at one another, and back to the halfling cowering by a tree, began to whisper to one another. "Maybe hes right..." said a horse voice. "I'm to young to die over a few minas, were well off enough..." said a soft voice. "Fine! Speak nothing of this!" said the horse voice, taking a turn for his leave. The two men walked off, leaving the hafling free. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Startled by the previously un-noted man, Dashki turned and said "Uhh, yes. I'm looking for work". Dashki really wasn't looking for work, but the few minas he had, he did not want to admit. "Work eh?" said the well dressed man, "We'll i've got nothing at the moment for ya. Sorry!". Dashki nods, and replies "Thanks anyway" walking away from the man. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Dashki approaches the hut with caution. His axe in hand and a light step to his feet, he entered the hut. "Hello? Anyone in here?" he said loudly. No response to his question, a dark hut stood before him. He took out a stick with a piece of coal wrapped to the tip in cloth, and lit it for light. Noticing a glimmer from a lock in the darkness, he approached it. The lock was not fastened, and inside lied a few iron, and a beaten golden sword. Thought it seemed to belong to noone, Dashki could not take it guilt free. He had never been a thief, and did not want to start today unknowingly. Fastening the lock and making his way for the exit, Dashki returned on the trail for his destination. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? A hungry Dashki stumbles into a camp of three men. The smell of cooked beef lingered in the air. One big wiff and his stomach began to tighten with pain. Walking through the leaves, he catches the attention of a man. "H-.. Hello?" said a voice. Dashki looking for the origin spotted the man and approached him. "Hail, I smelled the food.." he said, hands on his stomach. "Ah, yes, my beef. Its fresh, would you care for a piece?" said the man. Dashki's eyes widened in glee as he nodded his head yes. "Here, on the house.." said the stranger. "Thanks stranger" he replied. "So.. what brings you out here boy? Lost? Adventuring? Crazy?" laughed the man quietly. Dashki smiled, and began to tell his story of how he arrived. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Dashki, never to shy to give up a few minas heard the news of the bandits. Approaching a man talking to a party of armored guards he said "You still looking for arms? I've got a iron axe, its not much but...". The leader of the party smiled and said "But it'll do boy. Your name?" he asked. "Dashki, Dashki Arterymarch". "Dashki? Odd name for a fella, but who am I to judge. We've got about twice the ammount of men they do, but they're dug in pretty deep. We expect not many of us to make it, but we've got to take them out." he explained. "You stil interested?" he asked. Dashki nodded in response. "You've got guts, or you're not to bright kid, either way we need you." the leader said belting out a laugh. Forming in a tactical line outside of main gate, the men prepared to make their offense..
