  1. Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: DesmondTutu How old are you?: 19 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: EST/U.S. Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I do. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a full time college student. I am hoping to one day become a Latin teacher or maybe even a professor. I have a girlfriend of three years who I love dearly. I also forget to mention trivial information first, such that my name is Steve! How much time could you be on the server weekly?: 30 hours a week shouldn’t be too far off as a guestimate. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: I won’t claim to be a great role-player, but I will say it’s not simply talking in character. It’s actually acting it out with your character as much as you can. If you huddle for warmth while it pours down raining, you should get your characters close to one another in game. If a bandit appears, you should either show your sword, or show some gold nuggets. To me, 25% of role-play is actual text. The majority is thinking of how your character will respond and actually playing the game. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: Not very much in Minecraft, however I used to role-play extensively in WOW. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Basically, it’s using out-of-character information to cheat or give your character an advantage. An example would be using TeamSpeak to coordinate attacks on others. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: My understanding of power-gaming in role-play has a few definitions. Some consider it power-gaming to abuse game mechanics such as ender-pearls and glitching in which the victim cannot reasonably respond in RP or OOC. The second type that probably most pertains to role-play is the use of god-mode actions such as instant-kill/death, casting spells that could inflict death instantly, and other such tom-foolery. What do you expect this server will be like?: If the hype is all correct, I expect it to be the highest caliber of role-play. I hope it immerses me in something incredible. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Aurora craft – recently joined it, didn’t like the lack of people. DestinyQuestMC – map reset. TheKingdomsMc – Abusive admins. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have and yes! Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I do! How did you hear about us?: I don’t remember, but among many Role-play servers, rumors of you being one of the best is common knowledge it seems. Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/52352-desmondtutus-application/ Have you posted this application on our minecraft forum thread yet? If not, just finish it up on here and then copy + paste is over there. In-Character: Character Name: Krydun The Noble What Race are you?: Human What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): None at the moment. Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Krydun is a self-proclaimed Noble, abandoning his meager family early in his life. He worked hard to convince people he was of noble birth, and so he assumed the status of a noble through shifty means. To a passerby, he would seem like your typical uncaring aristocrat. However for Krydun, it isn’t simply about himself. He has a goal that he wishes to achieve. He wants to create his own noble clan from scratch, so that one day, his off springs will not have to suffer the same ills of poverty that he despaired. Being 28 years of age still leaves him plenty of time to accomplish his goals, however the biggest factor in his success will be if he can use his keen intellect to his advantage. Despite his past villainous acts of greed and status and former peonage, Krydun is a surprisingly polite, soft-spoken intellectual, often addressing his subordinates by their given names. He rarely shows any sign of alarm or distress and often has entire situations planned out well in advance. Whenever confronted, Krydun is casual and uncaring, attempting to draw out a conversation and make small talk, which often infuriates the one he is talking to. Krydun will initially appear to be a very kind, well-respected noble. However, this is just a mask to disguise his manipulative and very dangerous nature. In truth, he cares very little for his underlings (both past and present), and is willing to use almost everyone around him as pawns in his twisted game of social chess. In his own words, Krydun claims to be unaffected by any form of morals or ethics as he views them as mere restrictions on his potential. He is, therefore, willing to stop at nothing to further his ambitions, including manipulating or killing anyone if he deems it to be necessary. He is fond of long, complicated, and somewhat convoluted plots, and frequently appears to toy with his underlings for amusement. He wears some of the finest blue clothes, adorned with fine gold trim. His moderately medium brown hair conveys a sense of trustworthiness about him. He isn’t the tallest, but he taller than most, casting condescending gazes to those below him. What is your Character's ambitions?: To rise as a true noble instead of parading about as one. Krydun wants to create his own noble family and become wealthy, by any means. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): As a noble, I prefer to not to dirty my hands with any of the such. However, when it comes to protecting my pride, any blade that is well-made will do. Be it an axe or a sword, The ignorant and lower class are easy to cleave. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Charisma. His charismatic approach to situations, as well as his overall trusting nature makes him a perfect candidate to manipulate and deceive those around him for self-interest. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): Other Information about your Character: (OOC information) He will remain neutral until I complete a villain application later on. By no means is he inherently evil, he just has no regard for morals. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I gracefully walk over and lure them into a conversation, and address their shoddy methods of obtaining gold. I then warn them before I draw my blade. If they still insist on standing, I have no choice but to bring them to despair. I then tell the Halfling to learn to be stronger and not to appear before me again. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? I find the best wares that he is offering and I purchase them if they are up to par, but if he is trying to swindle me, I will turn him in to the guards! Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: As a noble, I cannot be seen wallowing in such places for such petty reward, I ask someone to retrieve it for me. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? I would pay them for their generosity, and I would hide my nobility from them, as they might be bandits in disguise. (My character is untrusting to most) You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: I tell my underlings of the reward and arm them to go hunt down these bandits.
