His parents owned a nearby alchemy shop just out side of the city. He lived as an average citizen of Normandor in a middle class family. He grew up in the shop learning about alchemy, his mother turned him into an expert in the craft and by the age of one and a half decades he could make everything from deadly poisons to potions of healing and strength. Every Few days his father would take him out to the back of the shop and taught him the art of swordsmanship showing him strikes and slashes on makeshift dummies. He continued learning alchemy and sword fighting until the age of 20 when he decided he was well off in these crafts, he went off to leave his home in Normandor and travel the lands of Asulon. A few months after Toleyeus left home he received a letter from a friend back in Normandor telling of his parents death. The letter said his parents had gone on a potions delivery to the Island of Salvus, on the way back from the delivery his parents boat got caught in a storm. The boat had veered off coarse, smashed into a rock and sank, no known survivors had been found. When Toleyeus read this he decided his days of traveling were over and headed back home. After grieving his parents death he opened the old alchemy shop back up. Toleyes was now a shop owner and very much enjoyed it, he was good at the craft and made a small fortune from doing it. He became a very social person and after selling many things to many people became skilled in his people skills being able to almost manipulate people and talk them all the way to the highest price they wold buy something at and lowest price to sell something at. But when about ten years of being a proud shop owner had gone by he grew weary of it and longed for something else. After months of pondering about it, Toleyeus made up his mind on what to do, he would sell his shop and set out to be an adventurer again, and that's just what he did. Out of all of his travels, Alras was Toleyeus' favorite place he had visited. He enjoyed the mountainous region and the feel of the environment there. He got along well with the merchants and made many friends at the local tavern. He almost settled in Alras but after a while the thought that he was so close to the sea made him sick, it brought back memories of his parents so he left to avoid the terrible memories. He now often visits Alras and his friends there, but he stays no more than a few days at a time to avoid the painful memories. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? This is what would happen: - Toleyeus walks up to the guard and says - "why are you beating up on this little halfling it is not that much money to be harrasing him over" Guard 1 "this young chap stole this money from the alchemy shop from down the street" - Toleyeus having grown up in an alchemy shop his own life says to the halfling - "did you do this?" He would tell them that if no one showed up to them in the next few days saying that they lost these items the guards could keep it. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Toleyeus eager for adventure would accept the request to eliminate the bandits but under one condition, he would take half of the minus reward and get his pick on a few items of the bandits stash of goods. The guards knowing that the majority of the bandits stash was stolen goods but desperately wanting to protect their village from the bandits reluctantly accept. His mother taught him her extensive knowledge of potions, and his father trained him in sword fighting. He is rather hard to get along with, he prefers to keep more of a shadowy lone wolf status in places he is unfamiliar with. A few moons before Toleyeus was mature of age his parents went on a potions delivery to the island of Salvus. On the way to Salvus his parents ship hit a large rock in the ocean and sunk, there were no known survivors of the wreck. When Toleyeus heard this information he went into a quiet state of existence talking to no one and running the alchemy shop that was left to him. After a few weeks he decided to close the place and went off on his own. He now wanders around Asulon searching for a place to make his home in. He doesn't stay in one place for more than a few days at a time and is very choosey about the people he befriends on his journeys. He enjoys taking on different tasks for people in the town he is staying in at the time and rather than money he prefers to be rewarded with things and resources (He prefers this because it helps him avoid shopping which can take time that could be spent doing something else.) How would your character respond?: Seeing that there was no food in the chest (his one needed resource) he would not take the items but instead sleep in the small hut for the night because he needs a place to rest after his long night of travels. Seeing that the traders were friendly he would say "hello there I am in need of some resources and have some potions I am willing to trade for them is there anyone who has food and water they are willing to trade?" How does your character act on this information?: Needing supplies rather than money I would deny their request and walk away. As soon as I was out of sight of the guards I would make a beeline for the bandits camp and kill them all. I would take the things I need from the bandit camp and be on my way before the guards got there and found all the dead bodies.

This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): One evening on the 7th of Julianos my mother qualark found me on her doorstep of her alchemy shop in a black basket radiating with some sort of dark aura around it. She took me inside and wrote letters to every karajyr in the city she knew but no one claimed me so not having any children herself she decided to raise me herself. My mother raised me and taught me the art of alchemy and potion making. She schooled me on nothing but magic and alchemy until I was 8 when I started helping her sell potions in the shop.When I was the age of 12 something strange happened I had been hearing voices in my head telling me to run away from home and leave to the mountains but i ignored them. Ignoring the voices was a big mistake because while my mom and I were finishing our meal a group of guards smashed through our door and grabbed me and my mother. They forced me to watch while they beat her senseless with the butts of there swords and kept saying the king declared that I was the reason the gods were against them and why the famine had come upon there land. I blacked out, when I had awaken i was lying on the floor next to my dead mother and three other guards who had slit throats i then realized that i was covered in blood and my house was on fire. Since then I have lived in fear in the mountains praying to the gods and meditating i eventually figured out that the reason I lived and some how managed to kill the guards that day had to do with my parents my real parents, it turns out that the king had used them as sacrificial offerings to the gods this did not please the gods so they cursed his land and protected me from him. This made the king angry and he blamed it on me, the gods decided to spare me but were not able to save my mother from the kings anger. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I would most likely go up to the gaurds and tell them that is not right, if they kept doing it i would attempt to bribe them into stopping knowing that fighting in the city in front of the castle would not be good if worse came to worse he would grab the halfling and run. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? My character would look at him happily and say "yes actually i need directions to the brewery i could use a strong drink after traveling all night to get here. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: My character if he needed the material would take it and walk away but being a light traveler if he did not need it he would most likely ignore it and be on his way. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? I would be friendly but not knowing the common tongue would just follow them into the village if treated well I would try to get some supplies and leave as soon as i can knowing that staying anywhere unfamiliar for to long could be hazardous. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: I would turn them down and say that i was not interested in helping them but almost immediately i would start off in the direction of the bandits and track them down, when there i would kill all of the bandits and take there things they had which is much better than the reward. this would help the guards and me out still rewarding and letting me keep my shadowy status.
