Out-Of-Character
Minecraft Account Name: Frank_Lineberry
How old are you?: 16
Time-Zone/Country of Residence:Central/United States
Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:I would say so.
Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:I'm 16 years old, around six foot, four inches(if I had to estimate) tall and bored out of my mind. I'm looking to try some hardcore Minecraft RP as I've tried "light" RP before and I found that the RP aspect was mostly ignored in favor of PvP. So, here I am.
How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Hard to say. Its summer vacation so anywhere from two hours to forty eight hours would be a realistic estimate.
What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Role playing is the act of interacting with others using a persona of sorts. Many people partake in this act because it is free-form in the fact that there is no real restriction on what one can do
What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:I've been on other RP servers for a time. Looking to try something more dedicated.
In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:Using out of character information for in character actions. For example. One is messaged via steam of an impending attack on an ally's city. Using this information as grounds to come to that city's aid is metagaming.
In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:The best word I have to describe power-gaming is god-modding. It is basically RPing in a way so that others have no room to respond. For example, /runs up and cuts yoru head off. This would leave them no room for a counter action, and thus, would be Power-Gaming.
What do you expect this server will be like?:From what I hear, it is a heavily populated role-play server with multiple nations and factions in it. Can't say much past that.
What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:TheKingdomsMC:I left because the server pretty much died. NationsMC: This server was ran from a few mods from TheKingdoms. Gave it a go and decided that i didn't really enjoy the sky-island aspect of it. Which is too bad because I have nothing bad to say about the people there.
Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:Yes.
Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules:Yes.
How did you hear about us?:I was browsing the Minecraft Forums for RP servers and this one seems to be the major one up.
Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?:I have made one application previously. http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/57936-server-application/

Though no one knows where exactly in Aegis Frank is from, he made a fairly modest living as a freelance mercenary taking minor jobs here and there. Now in Asulon, like the rest of the survivors, Frank is looking to make some coin from the conflicts that already plague this new land. At twenty two years of age and six feet of height Frank isn't the most notable soldier in terms of his appearance, but he makes up for it by completing his tasks competently and without issue.

Open-Response-Questions
Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?
Walking towards the trio I shout to the pair of warriors, "Troubling the small one is not worth your time" One of the two brutes turns toward me with a snarl and replies, "Who are you to tell us what is and isn't worth our time, you damn bastard?!" Feeling irritated with their response, I decide reasoning with them will get me nowhere. "If you must know I'm a sell sword of some refute and though, I am a sell-Sword I favor the bow. I trust your both wise enough to realize that an arrow in your throat is hardly worth your time in any degree." Both of them are somewhat taken aback. After a moment one of them comes to a realization and says, "Of some refute? That means he has some money on him right?" The other smiles as he quickly understands what his associate is getting at. Both turn away from their previous prey and draw their swords quickly advancing on me. I shout to the halfling to make his escape as I draw my bow and aim at the foremost thug's head. They break out into a full charge at me. I mutter, "of some refute..." As I let go of the bowstring and let loose my first arrow.
Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?
I was about to walk away as I saw nothing of value to me until I saw an iron sword. Though i make primary use of the bow, only a fool would be without a sword on the battlefield. My reason for interest in the sword was two-fold. Firstly, I lost the sword i had been carrying in a rather ill-advised run in with two miscreants on my way back from the cloud temple. Secondly, the the sword had a glowing aura around it, indicating that it possessed an enchantment of some sort. "How much for that sword," I say to the merchant. "Ahh, that one. Hmm, how much can ye spare for it?" "I have 10 coins to spare," I reply. The merchant considers the offer for a moment before saying, "well that sounds good to me," says the man, much to my surprise. I take the sword, though can't help feel as though something isn't right about it.
Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:
I know from the state of the hut that it is truly abandoned. I take the things from the chest and i turn to leave. Only then do i begin to realize that something is amiss. I hear a noise from behind me and I turn just in time to see a bandit bearing down on me. I ready the sword I bought back in the city. Soon my sword meets his own. We trade blows for an instant. And then, much to my misfortune, I strike his sword and my own breaks. Now realizing why the sword was so cheap I begin to curse that bastard merchant as I feel something heavy hits me in the head from behind. I manage to stumble out away from my attackers, now numbering two, as I ready my fists to meet them
Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?
Barely escaping the ambush set-up by the bandits I make my way through the wilderness. Injured, hungry, and most of all angry that i fell into such a basic trap, i stumble into a camp, barely conscious. One of the merchants looks up notices me, "My word, what happened to you chap." I open my mouth to answer him but instead collapse into the mud. Luckily for me, the merchants are good people and i soon find myself in a nearby town recovering.
You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:
I think on the offer until i realize that my multiple run ins with bandits over the last few days can not be a coincident.I figure that the two bandits that ambushed me as well as the three I met several days before must all belong to this camp. I go to the captain and offer my services, despite how injured I am. "We'll have no use for someone in your condition," says the captain. "I'll do it for free, And don't worry about me being in your way. I'm a marksman not a brawler," I reply. "Well we do need the people. Just don't shoot any of our own." Later as we ready to attack the bandit camp, one of the guardsman makes his way to me. "So i heard you where the idiot looking to take this job for free. A mercenary doing free jobs, thats be a first for me." I laugh and respond, " i never mentioned my occupation to anyone. How'd you figure it?" "Used to be one myself till I got smart and took the easy coin as a guard. Still, whats your stake in this?" I start to explain myself as a whistle is sounded in the distance. We both go tense as we realize that the attack is beginning.
Anything else you would like to say?:
I hope to play on the server. I hear good things about it and would like a chance to participate.
