This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): I was born in a distant area, my mother and father were self sufficient farmers. We lived in a small village, and were happy. My childhood was full of hard-work and education. I was never the mischievous type, obeying the orders of my parents faithfully. I grew a fascination for God when I was young, and I was intrigued by religion. I began to study it in my free time, and eventually gained a strong knowledge of the matter. My parents, however, did not agree with my studies, nor did my village. They took away my books, burned them. They said that resorting to such foolishness was uncalled for, and that I needed to rely on the tangible things in life. As I aged, I grew away from my studies. I had no books to read any more. In my mind, and more importantly, my heart, God remained. One foggy morning, though, the downhill fall began. Raiders were spotted outside the village, armed and dangerous. They had men scouting around our village, like vultures circling their prey. They passed, however, and everyone relaxed. My village did not anticipate their return. I awoke that night to screaming, and as my eyes opened all I noticed were flames. Flames everywhere. I grabbed clothes and dressed the fastest I ever had, and grabbed two things: my sword and my bible, which I had managed to hide from my parents. At this point I had a decision. I could either fight to defend my burning village, or run. I chose the latter. I stole a horse from our stable, and rode, not stopping for a whole day. My horse could not go any longer, and collapsed. I continued my journey on foot, disoriented, and unfortunately walked straight into a desert. I made it a few more hours, but my vision slowly blurred, and I collapsed. My eyes opened once again. There was talking, quiet whispers back and forth. I felt eyes upon me, and looked up to see a woman and a man, talking to each other a few feet from me, occasionally motioning at me. The man walked out, and the woman walked over to me. She told me she had found me and saved me, but that I could not stay any longer. She sent me back out into the wilderness, away from their oasis. I eventually found my way into a town, where I was welcomed. I was loaned a small farm, and eventually bought it through hard work. I began to teach others about God, and how he saved me from the bandits. They named me their priest, however a few years after a new mayor was named. He had procured a hate for God, and cast me out of the village. I left, melancholy but strong, to seek my destiny elsewhere.
