Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I’ve been playing Since Alpha and I've loved it since it came out. It gives me a feeling that games don’t have to be so cut throat and can be an environment where you can create play and share your ideas with a community that is extremely friendly and helpful. I’m a very friendly person who likes to help people out and do what I can on my part to make the world a better place for me and the people around me.

Give a definition of what it means to you: for me Role playing is a wonderful world where you become something you would never be in real life and embrace your "persona" or "character" whether that be a 40 y/o man in the army or an 8 y/o boy who has an imagination that runs rampant.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):
Astrid Smith believes to be Guardian of Arethor, a 6'3" ft high bulky, muscular, friendly giant. Don't confuse his friendly kindness for a sign of weakness. For those, who have, died by his hand. Astrid has been through more hardships in his life than the common man, his father died in his arms fighting alongside him. His Grandfather always told Astrid "no matter what you do never curse old age because it is a privilege denied to many". Despite his constant death-filled, blood-drenched misery, he manages to attain an optimistic friendly demeanor with his acquaintances and friends and at heart.
This 32 year old man has been dragged to the depths of hell. Beaten down and built back up again over and over again as this has become his regular schedule. Along the way, learning and absorbing the knowledge of the native elders of the land. This man is wiser beyond his years. He doesn’t like to put himself on a pedestal or disrespect his elders. So he obeys the ancient traditions and cultures of his native land. But like every man and woman, he has his short comings. For not all know this, Astrid balances himself out on the battlefield as he hacks and slashes his opponents. He finds himself focused in a state between serenity and true rage. For in this man, lies a beast within.
What are your Character's ambitions?:To become one of the best guardians there ever was and live up to the family name as his dad and his grandpa had done many years before him.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?: Swinging his mighty barbaric-like Battle Axe, Slicing, any who provoke him, to a bloody oblivion.

Open-Response-Questions
Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?:
He runs to the halflings aid and fends off the armed warriors and defuses the situation so nobody gets hurt. As the halfling scrambles to gather the things that have fallen out of his satchel Astrid asks him “what are you doing all alone out here you could of been killed!” (in a very parent like tone of voice)
The halfling responds but as he responds the halfling notices theres something missing from his satchel. And quickly tells Astrid:”Sir! Sir!,They took my gold! Those thugs took my gold!” As Astrid scans the area for the two warriors and sees they’re long gone.
Astrid asks “how much did they take?”
The halfling responds in a very hasty nervous manner “All of it!, They took all my gold!”
Astrid is torn as he feels for the halfling, he throws the halfling a sack of gold coins as he tells him “here this should be enough for you to travel to the next town over get a place to rest and something to eat”
The halfling jumps as he is overjoyed “Sir! How ever can i repay you!?”
Astrid tells him “you can repay me by not wandering out here all alone” as he says that the halfling immidiately stops jumping and realizes what just happend and thinks to himself the next town over isn’t for another 3 days away he could easily be robbed again and the gold given to him would have been for no reason. Astrid notices the halfling thinking and asks him “is there something wrong? is the gold not enough?”
the halfling responds “no sir! What you’ve done for me is amazing it’s the most any stranger has ever done for me but”
Astrid: “but?”
Halfling: “but it’s just that the next town over isn’t for another 3 days away and I can easily be robbed again then this gold would have been for no reason”
Astrid: “So whats the problem i’ll escort you” Halfling: “You’d do that for me?!!”
Astrid: “Of course why do something if you’re not going to do it right”
Halfling:”You sir are a true blessing”
As they both travel there two days into their travel and only a couple hours from the closest city.They decide to keep on going and walk all the way and skip making camp. As they are only about two hours away they encounter the two warriors who stole the halflings gold.
Astrid: “go wait behind that tree post haste” as Astrid grabs his Battle Axe and slings it over his shoulder as he stealthily crouches over by where the two warriors are making camp. As one is putting up the side of the tent and the other is eating bread and drinking water by the campfire. Astrid slowly approaches behind the one at the camp fire he very carefully puts his axe down and tries snapping the warrior’s neck Astrid struggles tremendously as the warrior is not giving up without a fight Astrid is thrown off by the warrior and charged and thrown to the ground by the warrior and savagely punched. The warrior begins to choke Astrid out as his air starts to run out and he nears unconsiousness he remembers the dagger his dad gave him that he always kept with him in his right boot. Astrid reaches for his boot pulls the dagger out, as the light dims, and stabs the dagger into the side of the warrior and twists so the wound won’t close. The warrior groans in agony and releases the grip around Astrid’s neck Astrid gasping for air pushes the warrior off of him, and pulls the dagger out of the warrior and slices his throat. The other warrior still having no clue of the scuffle as the campfire was a couple yards away from the tents. Astrid cleans the blood off of his dagger and puts it back in his boot. He grabs his Battle Axe and proceeds very cautiously toward the other warrior putting up the tents. He begins his swing but the Mighty axe is far to large for a quick swing as the axe is coming down the warrior quickly notices the axe from his peripheral and dodges it as the axe slams down the warrior quickly grabs his short sword and slashes Astrid in the arm as Astrid backs up with his axe it’s now a fare fight the two circle each other Astrid goes for a horizontal slash hoping to knock the warriors short sword out of his hand and misses as Astrid pulls his axe back as he’s doing that the warrior rushes Astrid and knocks his axe out of his hands. Weaponless Astrid gets stabbed in the mid section and kicked to the ground bleeding and severely injured Astrid tries crawling away as the warrior maniacally laughs Astrid is prepared for death. The halfling is seeing everything happen he tells himself “I can’t let this man die after everything he’s done for me” the halfling pulls a small compact bow from his satchel. He carefully goes up behind the warrior and pulls a shot off and hits the warrior in the shoulder. It doesn’t seem to phase the warrior at all but it gets his attention, the halfling tries to stumble away but is grabbed by the back of his head. Astrid pulls himself to his feet and grabs his axe. The halfling notices this and smirks at that warrior, the warrior turns around right as he turns around he slices one of the warrior’s legs clean off and falls over. Astrid dripping in blood stands over the legless warrior and with one swift powerful motion splits the warriors head in half. Astrid blood drenched and critically injured collapses and blacks out. He awakes a day later and finds himself in a healing hut with the bag of gold he gave the halfling and a little extra he never saw that poor little halfling again.
Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?:Astrid reaponds:”I’ve heard of an herb that grows in these parts that makes a great open wound remedy I forget what it’s called do you know what im talking about?” Merchant: “AH Yes!, I know exactly what you’re talking about sadly i’ve just run out and won’t be getting another shipment for another two days” Astrid:”Do you know where I can get some I need some as soon as possible” Merchant:”They say they’ve got boatloads of it up North in Clemdale” as a passerby over hears the conversation they say “Clemdale!? Wouldn’t go there if I were you” Astrid: “why?” Passerby:”they say it’s cursed people have been disappearing left and right over there” Merchant:” Oh hush! Just stupid legends” Astrid:”I’ll go check it out tomorrow. The next day Astrid arrives into the so called cursed town. To his surprise there’s no one there he runs into the local market no one to be found the place is deader than a ghost town. As he looks around he sees someone walking around he goes up to them but they’re just talking to them self babbling about some zombies the person was crazy beyond belief. Astrid goes through the towns dirt roads looking for anybody with a bit of sanity. As he stumbles upon 3 zombies feasting on a half eaten person. He draws his axe and realizes they haven’t seen him it would be better to avoid this fight. So he runs to a house nearby and it’s open. As he runs in and looks through the window he can still see the zombies. He tells himself “What are those things?” He feels a hand across his shoulder and before he could react he had a sword around his neck. Survivor: “You one of them!?” Astrid:”One of what!?” Survivor:”You know!,a zombie!” Astrid:”No! I came to check this place out I heard it was cursed!” the sword was gently pulled away from Astrid’s neck. Survivor:”You scared the hell out of me!, sorry about that my names Jim” Astrid:”It’s ok I’d be jumpy to what’s going on here?” Jim:”I don’t know but it seems like some kind of virus that’s taking over the people” Astrid:”We need to get out of here!” Jim:” I agree I’ve been planning my escape for a couple days now but I haven’t had the balls to attempt it damn things are on every corner!” Astrid:” Ok you’ve got more muscle to help lets do this” Jim:”Ok you first “ Astrid:”1........2.......3.......GO!” Both Run Like mad men slicing an dicing any zombies in their way. Jim trips over a stone and breaks his foot. Astrid goes back to help him but Jim tell him to go on without him he’ll fight off while he escapes. Astrid has never forgotten this man and his heroic actions and this still influences Astrid’s decisions
Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:Astrid notices there’s a name on the door of the hut and leaves this alone and continues on his journey to the next town to look for the name on the door of the hut and give him some advice of security and how to hide and booby trap his things as Astrid could have easily stolen those things. As he find the owner of the hut he teaches him the great tricks of booby trapping and hiding your belongings while in the wilderness these are all teachings he’s learned on his journey’s
Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?:As I do not no much of the common tongue of other lands I respectively find a person who understands me hoping he can interpret. So I can then trade stories of my journey to the people and hopefully ask for food and a place to rest. As long as Astrid stays he helps with what ever he can if it’s hunting or gathering wild edibles he helps. And once he can learns the ways of the tribes as he is willing to learn everything he does not already know.
You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:I run to their aid in hopes I can help with an extra soldier to help them i would deny there offer for a reward as I would see it as my duty to my town to help. Astrid runs to the frontline and listens to the plan on how they’re planning on taking out the bandits. He soon finds he’s going to be the scout one of the most dangerous jobs in the art of war. He gets in close and sees there’s only 4 bandits and tells himself “I’ll handle this myself “ He raises his axe and wounds the first bandit the rest rush in and help there fallen bandit. As it then turns into an all out war. The towns people take their town back.
Anything else you would like to say?: I hope I’ll get accepted into this server as i think I will enjoy it.
